Springbank Nursing Home is situated in Barry, in the picturesque Vale of Glamorgan in South Wales. They provide a friendly and welcoming environment to enable people to relax and enjoy life. They offer long term and respite nursing and residential care.

The home is close to many local amenities such as the town centre, local supermarkets, shops, banks, leisure facilities. Barry Island beach and promenade are within easy reach. The lounge of the ground floor hosts many activities and entertainment such as music afternoons and mornings, skittles, games afternoons, singers and music therapy. The dining room supports other activities such as arts and crafts, painting, gardening club and bingo. Pets' therapies are conducted regularly.

The resident is well cared for. Now spends most of their time in bed due to mobility problems. The resident is quite happy at Springbank. The staff are genuinely friendly, helpful and caring. Like many nursing homes, there is quite a high staff turnover.

I want to thank all the staff at Springbank Nursing Home for the wonderful care they gave my sister during her short stay. The staff were very caring, understanding and compassionate. Everyone from the cleaners to the nursing staff made every effort to chat with my sister, ask her if there was anything
she needed and were all very welcoming. They took the time to paint her nails in the colour of her choice, and everyone stopped to say hello and chat when passing her room. The home was very clean, and the Covid risk reduction was very well professionally managed. We 100% made the right choice choosing this nursing home and would highly recommend it. Thank you all at Springbank Nursing Home.

Although my Mum was only a resident for a few months, our family knew from the beginning that this was the best place for our beloved Mum. During this time, Mum received excellent care and was treated with the respect and dignity she so deserved. The management were very approachable, supportive and
dealt with our queries with kindness and patience.
The caring staff are fantastic, happy, kind and supportive and extremely hard working. They dealt with Covid restrictions in a professional manner and as a family we appreciated that. Her first room was a little small but very comfortable, clean, and cosy but in the latter weeks, she was moved to a beautiful room on the second floor surrounded by her pictures of her family and personal effects.
The staff were aware of her love for music and singing and often sang with her. Springbank is clean, well decorated, light and spacious. There is a lovely relaxed atmosphere despite the fact that the staff work so very hard through some challenging situations. I would highly recommend them.

From day one my mum has received the best care possible, nothing is too much trouble. I cannot praise all the staff highly enough, it is clear high standards are strived for across the board and staff morale is high too. Mum is treated with the utmost of respect at all times and there is always someone
making sure she has a drink or bringing tasty home made yoghurts to tempt her for example. I had a good feeling when I first visited and it appeared 'streets ahead' of other homes I inspected during the selection process. Management clearly select their staff carefully and impart a strong code of conduct and ethics to ensure the residents receive a superb service and is evident throughout the home. I have never seen so many staff genuinely happy in their work in any workplace environment before.
As a result of you caring for her so well, my life is less stressful or guilt-ridden too, thank you so much for being there for my mum, I really appreciate it.

Springbank has gone through some amazing changes recently. The home has been renovated to a very high standard with the residents' well-being in mind on every decision made. There is a very friendly atmosphere and I am always greeted with a smile.
The carers work hard to ensure that the residents'
needs are met in a timely and sympathetic manner respecting dignity at all times.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Springbank to anyone looking for a nursing home in the Barry area.

Springbank Nursing Home has been an eye-opener with exemplary care and commitment from every member of staff. All staff are respectful and tend to all of the resident's needs. All are easy to approach and any problems are sorted out straight away. A special mention has to go to the management who ensure
that every person in the home is treated with respect and kindness. Our experience when visiting has been excellent. The home has a professional but very homely feel with everyone feeling relaxed and engaged.

I have been with Caron Group for nine years, five of which I have spent at Springbank. I worked my way up from a nursing role, all the way to registered home manager and I am enormously proud of the quality of care offered at Springbank and the professionalism of my team.


Springbank is blessed with beautiful lounges and excellent facilities which enable us to deliver the best care possible. The home has a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere and residents are cared for with compassion and dedication.
