My mother is very well looked after at Ael-y-Bryn. The team make a real effort to get to know each resident as an individual and treat them as such, remembering the small details such as how they like their cup of tea and where they like to sit. Any changes are noticed and acted on quickly so that the level of care is always exactly what the resident needs at that time. Mum's recent recovery from a serious illness must be due in part to the prompt actions of the care home team. For me, however, the biggest point of difference is the sense of family at Ael-y-Bryn, not just for Mum but for us, her true family as well. Mum is treated with real affection and warmth by the whole team and as her daughter, I am always made to feel welcome at the home and that I'm a part of her daily life and ongoing care. I'm kept up to date with Mum's wellbeing and immediately told of any health concerns and included in any decisions to do with her care. All in all, Mum is happy and content at Ael-y-Bryn.
We take great pride in creating a family atmosphere not only for our residents but our families and staff team as well. It is fantastic to see you coming along and getting involved in our activities and entertainment events. Thank you for your kind words and ongoing support, will mean a lot to the whole team.
Since my sister has been in the Ael-y-Bryn Care Home she has improved beyond my expectations. She has become more aware of everything more than I could have hoped. She's now more talkative and her health has improved beyond anything I could have wished for. The staff have been exemplary, caring and look after everyone there. Her birthday was celebrated 2 weeks ago and the staff even provided a birthday cake for her and had candles on it as well. I cannot find the words of how grateful I am for the care she is receiving. Thank you everyone.
We had a great time celebrating your lovely sisters birthday and most importantly so did she. It really is our pleasure to care for and support her at Ael-y-bryn. We are lucky to support and meet so many wonderful residents and their relatives just like yourselves. Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review.
Thank you for all your hard work - you don't get enough credit in my eyes.
Thank you for leaving us a review. We really appreciate your feedback. Dad is a pleasure to care for and his tales from days gone by always bring joy and laughter to us all.
She can be picky with her food but there is always a range of food for them to choose from.
The staff are always quick to react to any medical matters that arise which did happen to my aunt in recent months. The issue was identified and was acted upon promptly to resolve the matter.
Thank you for your kind words. It is our pleasure to care for your wonderful Aunt. We are so glad you are happy with the care and service we provide.
We are all cared for (our family included) by everyone. When we met originally with the management team who came to assess Mammy 2 years ago, we were told when you decided for her to come and live at Ael-y-Bryn, as well as Mammy, you will also be classed and welcomed as our family. They weren't wrong, on every visit (we go on a daily basis) we are treated with love and every member of staff is welcoming and interested in us as her daughters,
We have an amazing relationship with every member of staff, they fill each day with happiness and love. We will forever be grateful and will love you and hold you in our hearts forever. Ael-y-Bryn!
Thank you for your wonderful comments. We pride ourselves on the care we give not just to our residents but their families as well. Your words will mean a lot to the whole team.
Although Mam's stay was very brief I know she enjoyed every minute. The staff were brilliant with her.
When the manager first assessed Dad to decide whether he would be suitable Dad liked him straight away. He enjoyed his chats until the decline in his health led to him needing nursing care.
A massive thank you goes out to the manager and his team for allowing a husband and wife to spend what was to become their last time together.
Precious memories.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We really appreciate your feedback and kind words.
My mother-in-law required 24 hour care nearly 2 years ago and I feel my wife made the right decision in choosing Ael-y-Bryn to provide this care. Her mind is at rest knowing she is so well cared for on a daily basis, we as a family rest easy knowing she is loved and cared for by all the staff, they truly are a good team.
Thank you for taking time to leave a review. We really appreciate it.
Have a great relationship with all my mother-in-law's care providers. I tend to visit at all times of the day, and there is always a warm welcome. Ael-y-Bryn is always clean as is Mum's room. We viewed many homes before choosing Arl-y-Bryn. It's a small and homely home. All care providers know your name as you enter. And the residents have food most of the day. My mum enjoys the activities, especially the singing. There seems to be something going on daily. I'm not saying, I've never had a problem. What it was, was minor, and the Manager dealt with it. But like I say it was minor and had nothing to do with Mum's care. We are very happy with Ael-Y-Bryn, and would have no hesitation in recommending it, to anyone looking for a family-type home for relatives or friends.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We really appreciate your kind words.
She enjoyed all the activities, made herself at home and felt safe.
Sadly my mother recently passed away.
The staff have been absolutely brilliant. Especially the care and compassion given throughout.
I cannot thank the manager and his staff enough for the help they gave us at this sad and difficult time.
Thank you for taking the time to review and leaving such kind feedback. It was our pleasure.
My mother-in-law was a resident for over 5 years, she thoroughly enjoyed her time there. She particularly enjoyed the activities and entertainment. The staff were absolutely brilliant and nothing was too much trouble. Unfortunately she recently passed away, and once again the care and compassion they showed was exemplary. I cannot thank the staff enough, for helping us through a difficult time.
Thank you for your kind words. This will mean a lot to the team.
All the staff were absolutely brilliant and nothing was too much trouble.
Sadly my mother recently passed away, and once again the care and compassion they all showed us was amazing.
I cannot thank the staff enough, for helping us through a very difficult time.
Thank you for your kind words and feedback. These will mean a lot to the team
Attentive staff. Very approachable manager. Our mum's needs are catered for. Staff go over and above. It's a family feel home, not clinical and stale. If we need to speak to staff, they listen. There are no concerns with our mum's care. I'd recommend this home. Small, friendly and welcoming.
Thank you for your feedback. We really appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review.
My mother moved into Ael-y-Bryn in the summer of 2019 due to her dementia. Over the past 5 years she has received the best of care from dedicated and caring members of staff and has been treated with dignity and respect, giving me and close members of my family peace of mind. My mother has recently had to move to a nursing home as her dementia has deteriorated and I must say we shall miss Ael-y-Bryn, its homely atmosphere and its hard-working members of staff.
Thank you for your kind words and feedback. We really appreciate it
The care home seems nice, clean and the staff are friendly and professional. It also seems they do plenty of activities to get the residents involved.
Thank you very much for your kind words. We really appreciate your feedback.
From the beginning, the management team have been extremely helpful, meeting privately on multiple occasions to assure me I was picking the right facility.
The care staff are always welcoming, happy to help, knowledgeable and engaged.
The events the team put on to stimulate residents almost every day are brilliant, and the major events they put on are well thought out with a lot of thought and effort.
Finally, the intricate details they can share, from medication, well-being and engagement are first class. They know exactly what the residents are eating and drinking, when they wake up and go to bed, how engaged they are throughout the day, and even the mood they are in.
The staff have all been in my shoes at one time or another, and therefore, they show genuine care for the residents.
My only criticism is cost and that's less to do with Ael-y-Bryn and more with the government.
Thank you for your kind words and feedback. We really appreciate it
My dad became a resident a few weeks ago and has really settled in well. We were a bit apprehensive at first, but the management staff met with my dad to make sure they were able to meet his needs and really put our minds at rest. My dad now joins in with activities and also takes advantage of the other services available (including podiatrist and hairdresser), as well as still having visits from his physio. It's a very happy place with lovely food and very friendly carers who get to know the family members, as well as the residents. It is a great relief to know that he is being looked after so well in lovely surroundings.
We really appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review. Thank you for your kind words.
As a family, we have had the most horrific experience of one parent needing to access respite care, so when faced with needing to find a long-term residency for our father we were extremely anxious, all the more so as we no longer lived local and couldn't check in as often as we'd want to. Ael-y-Bryn has been a breath of fresh air for our dad. The staff were so welcoming when he first arrived, they took time to get to know him (and his ways). They have a laugh with him (as opposed to talking down to him). There is always something going on in the home to break up the residents' monotony. He's just so happy there, he's most definitely found his home from home. Research these homes properly because as our family experience has shown us, some places can put out a great advert but some places are just inherently good. Thank you to all at Ael-y-Bryn.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and for your kind words.
Members of staff are very helpful and my dad seems settled at the care home. I would highly recommend this care home.
Thank you for your review and positive feedback. We really appreciate your support.
My nan has only been here a short period but has settled in lovely. All staff are very helpful and always appear to join in with activities with the residents. I especially like the fact they often upload photos on social media so we can follow what family members are doing.
We really appreciate your review and kind words. Thank you.
When we ask our mother how well she's getting on she always feels looked after by the staff and happy with the quality and variety of food provided. Entertainment is also regularly provided with family always made welcome to join in.
All in all the home is providing a safe and happy place for our mother to be.
Thank you very much for your feedback. We really appreciate it.
