Glais House is a unique, warm and welcoming nursing home based in Swansea. The home is situated on 4 acres of well-kept gardens, home to local wildlife and protected trees and an outdoor patios.

Glais House believe that having spacious and green environment makes a difference and enriches the lives of residents at the home.

Rooms at Glais House are bright and welcoming, with each room furnished with a profiling bed and WiFi. Residents at Glais House also have access to spa baths that can play residents’ favourite songs.

It is always a pleasure to visit my friend at Glais House as I am always greeted by a smile from the staff. They are always attentive and obliging. The atmosphere is relaxed and all the residents are made a fuss of, games are played and activities are prepared to keep the residents and staff motivated.

I visited Glais House Nursing Home yesterday to celebrate my friend's birthday. The staff had gone to a lot of effort to provide a wonderful birthday buffet tea. It was laid out in the conservatory and the family and friends were made to feel welcome and nothing was too much effort for the staff. On
other visits, I have been really impressed with the care, facilities and dignity with which my friend is always treated. I congratulate the home staff and managers on the wonderful job they are doing.

Mum has just passed her second year of living in Glais House Nursing Home and I wanted to put on record how happy I am with the standard of cleanliness of the rooms and facilities but most importantly the standard of care that she receives from the staff. The care is person-centered and is very kind
and thoughtful. Over this time Mum's mobility has decreased and they have dealt with this. They are a credit to themselves and the home. I would not hesitate to highly recommend Glais House.

I am so grateful to Glais House management and staff, I tell them every visit. My mum is cared for with compassion and love and it shows in her demeanour. It's a happy place to visit, all be it sad. The residents are at home and friends with each other. The rooms are immaculately clean. Entertainment
is varied and engaging. The food is home-cooked, good quality and plentiful. 100% satisfied with Glais House Nursing Home.

Mum was a resident at Glais House for 10 months and peacefully passed away in October of this year. She was extremely frail and despite best efforts faded during this time. This was the family's first experience of a care home and it was a very difficult decision for us to place Mum in the care home.
I felt that I had to write this review to give credit and thanks to the staff who without exception treated Mum with the utmost respect, patience and kindness providing the comfort and care that we as a family couldn't.

My wife has been a resident at Glais House for more than five years. Has very advanced Alzheimer's dementia, along with heart and skin issues, type 2 diabetes and recurrent urinary tract infections. She has a complex medication regime. Consequently, she is totally dependent on the nursing care provided
by the staff there. The staff are excellent and professional in all areas, way better than at some homes I have experience of. I'm always made to feel welcome when I visit there and the staff are always friendly and approachable. The home has a very pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. It's always clean and tidy and never looks in need of a makeover! It has beautiful grounds and is a pleasure to visit. Regular entertainment events are held are to a good standard.
I cared for my wife at home for several years before she became too ill and her needs simply couldn't be met there. I put my trust in Glais House to take over her care and that trust has proven to be well placed.

My sister has been in the nursing home for over 2 years. I am very happy with her carers and everyone connected to the home looking after her. It's a very difficult job with a lot of patience needed. Would like to see all the staff with name tags easier to say thank you.

We have experienced consistent quality of care and very high standards.
A stable workforce who are well trained and exceptional. Very high ethical standards of practice and knowledge of residents' needs.

The is a welcoming atmosphere at the care home when I visit. My grandmother's room is spacious and always spotlessly lean. If we have required any assistance, management has always responded swiftly to our communication via telephone or email. My grandmother has built good relationships with many of
the carers.
On occasions, the number of carers available to residents has been low with some waiting for the toilet, however, they all do their very best.

Putting my dad into care was a difficult decision for us both, however we could not be happier now. The care, professionalism and compassion shown by all staff is incredible. The team work as one and there is definitely a family feel.
I am always welcomed warmly and see genuine care towards my dad
and all residents. My dad's quality of life is now amazing and he often says he can't imagine being anywhere else. We cannot praise the staff enough, they are incredible people who work so hard but always with a huge smile, Thank you Glais House!

I am extremely happy with the care my Mum receives at Glais House Nursing Home. The staff are always friendly, polite, caring and always ask if there is anything they can do for us. The summer fete last Friday was outstanding. It allowed residents, friends and family to get together in an environment

Sadly my aunt died this month. She had been in Glais House for just over 5 years. During her time at Glais House she had wonderful, loving care. The staff are excellent, they are respectful and caring and extremely kind. A first-class home with the most wonderful staff. My aunt had 5 happy years there.
We, as a family, cannot thank the staff enough. I cannot find any faults with the home.

I am now resident in Glais House Nursing Home and find it very relaxing after a stay of three months in various hospitals.
I have my privacy and also company if and when I want it.
I have good friends visiting which I look forward to. I am unable to go out and about visiting or shopping - my walking
in very limited after a heavy fall, I need support.

I visit a friend, who has been resident in Glais House for nearly a year. She has a beautiful large single room with ensuite facilities. She settled into the home very well, and is very happy there. She finds the staff very helpful, caring and friendly, and she highly rates the food. There is an activities
coordinator, who organises lots of activities and events, some of which family, and friends are invited to attend. The events are well attended by family and friends, including young children, and everyone is made to feel very welcome and catered for, as they provide lovely buffets and drinks for everyone. I have been visiting my friend for nearly a year now, and I have always found the staff to be friendly and caring. They all seem to be very happy in their jobs, and always seem to be smiling, They always seem to be working hard, in what can be very difficult situations.

I have over 20 years of experience of working in Human resources. I have worked at Glais House for the past 11 years. I find the home to be exceptional in its care, as I had my own Mother here as a resident for a while. It has a very warm and cosy atmosphere with attentive and caring staff to look after the residents.
