My mum came to St Mark's in November 2019 and the standard of care she receives is amazing. There is a relaxed family feeling there and the staff are willing at all times to help. It can be upsetting when loved ones are there but they do and we do adjust and it helps knowing how kind everyone who works there is so dedicated to their jobs. When I visit now it is more like a family gathering as we get to know the staff by their names. This care home is amazing and I would recommend it to anyone needing help. Reach out, they will help you.

I am very impressed with the helpfulness of the staff who are very obliging to assist. We frequently ask for the gentleman we visit to be put in a wheelchair so he can be wheeled into either the downstairs or upstairs lounges for private conversations. Also, the staff are always helpful in putting his hearing aid right to we can have a conversation as he fiddles with it in such a way that it is non-operative. Thanks all.

Thank you for your kind comments – I’m very glad the gentleman you refer to is happy at St Mark’s and it’s a pleasure to be part of providing his care.

As a son-in-law to the resident, I only visit occasionally but every time I do, the home appears clean and well run with very helpful staff who cannot do enough for residents and visitors. It comes across as a happy place given the circumstances.

I am writing a well-deserved review as I feel I can't praise St Mark's enough. They were all kind, loving and caring for my Dad. They catered for all of my Dad's needs and gave him such a wonderful life. He was encouraged to join in with the many activities available. They treated me as one of the family and made me feel so welcome. I will miss them all dearly.

When I first arrived at the care home I felt weakened after an operation and also I felt sorry for myself. The atmosphere in the home soon changed my view.

Everyone from the manager, the lady accountant, nurses, carers, kitchen and cleaning staff have made me feel at home here and are a joy to know. Also, our lady entertainment officer does a wonderful job. Lately, children from an infants school visit us for talks and reading sessions.

My mother has been in this home for 15 months and me and the other members of her family haven't had any reason to complain about her care.
She is always warm, clean and well fed and is treated with respect, kindness and dignity.

The home manager is very approachable so if we did have a concern I am sure it would be dealt with promptly.

The staff at St Mark's were very caring, considerate and patient with my Dad. They always had his best interests at heart. He was always well dressed, clean shaven, with tidy hair and cut nails. The food was good and Dad enjoyed the provided entertainment.

My dad moved to St Mark's Court Care Home in Swansea in Feb 18 after diagnosis of mixed vascular dementia. He deteriorated quickly and passed away on 21st May 2018.

I would like to extend my gratitude to all of the staff who looked after him with such care and patience.

He was happy and safe and lived out his days with as much dignity as possible due to the approach of the team there. I cannot thank them enough for how they looked after him they are a credit to their profession.

My mother was with St Mark's for only 1 week, but in that time she was treated very well by staff.
The room was clean and well laid out, food was good.

I found the nursing staff were very knowledgeable and caring, the manager in particular was very helpful, understanding and caring.

The staff in St Mark's care are extremely helpful, polite and caring. They treat all residents with respect and nothing is too much trouble for them. Whilst there visiting my late mother, we were always offered refreshments and something to eat. The staff always treated my mother with respect and dignity. The nurses were always very good with her. They treated family members with respect. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They always made sure my mother was clean and tidy and well dressed. The staff treated her like she was a good friend.

My mum was in St Mark's for over 4 months, she was suffering from severe dementia amongst other ailments so we had to find a care home that we would be sure we could rely on as mum could not communicate too well, we truly found it here, every single member of staff that dealt with mum showed the utmost care and friendliness to make mum feel safe and special and above all showed true professionalism.
Every time we rang to check on mum nothing would be too much trouble for the staff and I felt that I was kept informed entirely on changes to mum. Every resident you came across during our many hours of visiting St Mark's always appeared to be happy and contented and if not there would be someone attending to them, any small problems with mum's immaculate room would be dealt with extremely quickly by superb maintenance staff.

I'm a very critical person when it came to mum although you wouldn't believe it! I highly recommend St Mark's.

Our mother was resident in St Mark's for only a brief time, but we cannot praise the manager and all the staff for the work they do there. They stepped in to help at a time when we really needed all the help we could get finding and transferring mam to a suitable, local, caring/ nursing home. When we visited mam, she was always clean, tidily dressed, warm and relaxed. The staff were always cheerful, caring and attentive and we were grateful for the excellent nursing skills. We were kept informed of any/all new developments and treatments and when her time came, she was treated with dignity and respect. We can never thank them enough for all they did, in our opinion all the staff deserve the GEM award.

The warmth and compassion of the staff made me feel my Dad was being cared for in a home from home. They all expressed a "can do" approach to any challenge, guided by the role model provided by the Manager. The staff not only cared for Dad but for me and my family as well. They kept me informed every step of the way and explained the treatment and medication which was prescribed to my Dad. I am so glad that my Dad had the care he did. I couldn't have wished for better and my Dad was as important to the staff as he was to me.
