Our mother has been a resident of Swn-y-Gan for the last two years. Over that time, she has been very happy, and if there is ever an issue eg. food, the staff have spoken with her very professionally and catered to her individual needs. Our mother is very appreciative of the staff, and as she has full mental capacity, she is able to converse with the staff at all times. We have found her room to always be very fresh, clean and tidy, which is extremely important to our mother's health and well-being.
Thank you for your review; your feedback is greatly appreciated and will be fed back to the staff team.
Very pleased with the care of my mother. Lovely, caring, friendly staff. Great food. Very nice room and always spotless. Always a cheerful welcome and willingness to help with anything. Couldn't be happier with the service.
Thank you for your lovely review, it is good to hear.
Swn-y-Gan Nursing Home took all my concerns and worries away when my dear mother became a resident. It is a wonderful, caring, homely nursing home. All the fantastic staff go above and beyond their duty of care with love and compassion; they can be approached in confidence if there is something to discuss and always listen and understand. Swn-y-Gan is now my extended family, giving me the confidence and knowledge that all my mother's needs are professionally cared for and she is loved dearly. I extend a big thank you to all of their excellent, five-star, loving care on a daily basis, and I highly recommend this brilliant nursing home. Thank you.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are so happy that you feel supported by the staff and management at Swn-Y-Gan.
My husband has gone through a difficult month, but the staff keep trying to keep his strength up and do the best they can for him and hope now to get him up and out of bed so that he can join the other residents in the lounge. Many activities take place in the lounge, and although he is unable to participate, I feel he will benefit from being there. I do hope the medical staff who treat him will hurry up to approve this and help to get him back onto a more solid diet as he does enjoy his food.
Thank you for your lovely review; we will endeavour to meet your and your husband's wishes to achieve a better daily life for him.
My mother was admitted to Swn-y-Gan as an emergency due to illness. Her care from day one has been exemplary. She is now there permanently, and the family have peace of mind that she is being so well looked after. Swn-y-Gan also has excellent Covid protocols in place.
Thank you for your review it means a lot to us and we are pleased that your mum has settled in well and you are happy.
Lovely nursing home. Very friendly, helpful and professional staff. Very kind to Dad.
Thank you for your positive words; they are appreciated by us all.
Our mum spent a short time at Swn-y-Gan. It became very clear very quickly that the staff went over and above their duties in their care for her. We could not have picked a better place for her. It has been our privilege to be a part of the Swn-y-Gan family.
Thank you so much for your kind words; the staff and management always appreciate the support.
Dad spent the last 8-months of his life in Swn Y Gan. The staff have all been outstanding, and the care and support have been amazing. I would recommend Swn Y Gan to anyone looking for specialised care with Parkinson’s and physical difficulties as they are so patient, caring, friendly and understanding.
Thank you for your kind words, they are much appreciated by all of our team.
When we realised my mother needed 24/7 care, something we could no longer provide at home, we waited until there was a vacancy ay Swn-y-Gan. The care provided every since has been first class, especially during Covid.
The staff have all been incredible with my mum and also to me when I have phoned weekly to check on her health and wellbeing over the last year. They have all been very caring, attentive and very professional during this pandemic.
I am really looking forward to seeing my mum’s bedroom and the facilities in the home as lockdown eases.
I am also very excited about being able to take my mum out for ice cream and a ride out in the car in due course.
A big thank you to everyone at Swn-y-Gan Nursing Home
My auntie has been in Swn-y-Gan since 2018, and I have been very pleased with the care she has received. Also, the staff keep me up to date with my auntie's care and progress. We visited today for the first time since 2019. They had a pod where we could see my auntie and she could see us; it was soo good and ensured that we were all safe and protected from Covid. The staff were extremely kind and supportive, and made our visit very enjoyable and reassured me that she was having the best care possible.
Thank you so much for your review and for your understanding of the work our staff are doing during these difficult times.
My mother's care at Swn-y-Gan has been outstanding. We have found all the staff kind, considerate and passionate towards my mother.
Thank you so much for your kind words; the staff truly appreciate them.
Excellent care with brilliant staff.
Thank you so much for your comments and understanding; they are much appreciated by our team.
The staff are very helpful under the current circumstances as visiting is limited.
Thank you so much for your comments and understanding. The last year has been harder than normal, and we are all so looking forward to getting back to more normal safe times.
My wife has dementia, aged 84, I myself I am 84 and have heart problems. After she became totally incontinent I was unable to look after her. We have carers who came twice a day to wash her and put her to bed. In the meantime, I saw to her every need. Eventually, it became necessary to have her admitted to a care home, one of the best according to our local medical practice. Since being admitted I have more time and peace of mind knowing she is being well cared for.
Nursing home is clean and tidy. The staff are wonderful. Mum's care is exemplary. We are always welcomed, more importantly, Mum is happy and I feel that I leave her in safe hands when we are not there.
Mum always looks clean and well cared for.
We highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a warm, loving and caring environment.
It was an absolute pleasure and a privilege to care for your dad and to have him and all your family as part of the Swn-y-Gan family.
Swn-y-Gan is an outstanding nursing home that excels in all areas, the management and staff are superb and nothing is too much trouble for them they go above and beyond their duties to ensure that not only the care of their resident but also their family needs are catered for. Residents are treated with care, respect and dignity. Food is varied and homemade and always a good choice of meals. Staff interact with residents and have a lovely caring relationship and the overall atmosphere is a very happy environment.
My mother has lived at Sen-y-Gan for around 18 months. The care she has received has been second to none. Her general health has improved enormously and staff have worked hard to build friendly relationships with her. The food provided deserves a special mention it's great! Visitors are always made to feel welcome and there is an open and inclusive approach to my mother's care. I really couldn't ask for more.
