Having friendly and attentive staff truly makes all the difference in creating a warm and welcoming environment. My Mother has been a resident for a couple of years. She is very happy and settled here. The staff are kind and from what I have seen always treat the residents with care, dignity, and respect. My Mother is looked after, happy and safe which is important. My only issue is that I don't always feel welcomed as a visitor by some of the staff.
My mother has been a resident in the Avenue since 2021 and last week celebrated her 104th birthday. We are happy with her care and she is very fond of the staff smiling whenever they come to her room. She still enjoys her meals and drinks well, if in the mood!

Meet the Team (1)

I am an experienced and dedicated care professional with extensive knowledge of the care sector, including several years in managerial roles. My passion lies in providing high-quality care, supporting both residents and staff to ensure the best possible outcomes.
I joined Avenue Road in October 2024 and have since played a key role in developing the team, enhancing training standards, and improving overall knowledge. Residents at the home are my top priority, and I take pride in ensuring their needs are met to the highest standards, fostering a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment.
Before this, I worked in another care home where I managed a range of complex and challenging situations. Upon taking on the role, the home was under special measures, and my primary objective was to bring it up to standard. I am proud to have led the home to achieve a "Good" rating in our latest CIW report, alongside successfully increasing occupancy from approximately 30% to full capacity.
As a forward-thinking and energetic leader, I am always setting new goals to achieve. I believe in striking the perfect balance between leadership and teamwork, continuously developing both professionally and personally. I am committed to driving excellence in care and further advancing my career within the sector.
