My mum has had the best care, all staff are empathetic, thoughtful and kind.
Nothing is too much trouble and there are always lots of busy staff.
Cleanliness is top notch, not just personal care but everything is clean!
Everything is smooth running and communication is excellent, if you can't get someone on the phone straight away you know its because they are genuinely busy.

Peace of mind for me and my family that mum really is being well cared for, the kitchen staff are friendly and helpful too always with a smile!

Mum moved into the Vrnwy nursing home in 2024 when it became clear that she needed 24 hour care. The care she has received at the Vrnwy has been excellent. The care team are all friendly, respectful and patient, and the nursing team have ensured that mum's health needs have been managed well. Mum particularly enjoys the food.
The decking area is a lovely suntrap overlooking the river and is well used by residents including for growing veg.

It's been really reassuring to know that we don't have to worry about her when we're not there.

My uncle came to the Vyrnwy nursing home in December 24. He was in a poor state when he arrived. The wonderful staff have cared for him, respected him and made him a part of their family. We don't live locally but visit every few weeks and it's a comfort to know he is well looked after, happy and safe when we're not there. Thank you all at Vyrnwy!

An excellent care home. Kind, caring, friendly, helpful staff caring for my dad in his last few weeks. It was a really difficult decision sending dad away from home, but he needed professional care, and that is what he got. Special efforts were made to make his room as homely as possible, and nothing was too much trouble.

My nan come to Vyrnwy November 2023 after poor health led to myself and my mum not being able to provide her with the care she needed. It was a hard decision but the best for Nan, she has had the best care we could of possibly hoped for, she left on April 6th to be with the Angels and she was peaceful and all our wishes for her dignity was respected. She had the best nurses and carers you could ever need, personal care was excellent and always clean, tidy and dietary needs met. I am thankful to all that cared all the staff felt like family and the hugs she had when we couldn't be there helped us knowing she was in a good place with excellent people round her. Thank you so much for everything, ( I've joked to my parents they need a double room when it's time !!l) Recommend this home 100% to anybody looking for a nursing home.

I have always found staff and carers very friendly and my husband well cared for. He passed away in March, when I called to collect his possessions I could not have asked for more kindness and compassion, along with shared memories of my husband and his personality. Thank you to everyone.

We were very reluctant to take this step in our mothers c are, but it proved to be the best opportunity for her. She received loving and considerate care from the staff during her 3 month stay with them. Her dignity and respect were paramount to the staff who kept us fully informed to the end. The distance we had to travel to visit was not a deterrent for the quality of care mum received.

Reply from Jennifer Greenwood, Home manager at Vyrnwy Nursing Home

Thank you so much for sharing your kind words. We truly understand how difficult and emotional it can be to make the decision to place a loved one in care, and we are deeply honoured that you trusted us with your mother's care. Your feedback is invaluable, and it motivates us to continue offering the highest standard of care.

My uncle came into the care of Vyrnwy Nursing Home Feb 24. He was there until he passed away sadly in Jan 25. I visited him on numerous occasions and without exception the care, attention to detail was exemplary. He was popular with the staff even though he was in essence bed ridden. A great team who always helped him 100%.

Very good care from the staff. It is a very sociable home with many activities for the residents. The maintenance of the rooms is very good, perhaps the refurbishments could be more frequent. Overall it is a very good care home.

From the minute my Uncle entered Vyrnwy Nursing Home he was genuinely cared for! Everyone is so friendly, kind and thoughtful.
It's so hard when your family lives all over the world - you just hope your loved one gets treated with kindness and dignity they deserve and Vrynwy has delivered exactly that.
Every time I called it was no trouble for them to get my Uncle and they said often how much my Uncle enjoyed our chats. When I emailed photos they would print them to give to him straight away.
He spoke happily about the lovely location of the Home, all the activities, outings and the garden which he had a great time tending!
When he passed recently, I felt a particular staff member and all the team were genuinely saddened with the loss of him at the home - it's shows a great deal about the quality of the people employed throughout the home.

As a family member I cannot not recommend Vyrnwy Nusing Home highly enough for the true care that you want for the people you love the most! Thank you all so much!

My sister spent 10 months in Vyrnwy Nursing Home. She was totally disabled and bed-bound. I found Vyrnwy very good with their care and the manger cared about the residents and is always accessible if you need her. The nursing care was very good and the staff looked after my sister until she died.

Thank you to all the staff at Vyrnwy Nursing Home.
My mum spent the last few months of her life living at Vyrnwy. She was frail and needed constant care.
I know I chose the right place for her, and feel comforted that she was looked after by such a warm caring community of people, whose professionalism met the highest standards.

Thank you to everyone.

Wonderful care. My Uncle came to Vyrnwy in a very poor state of health.
Since his arrival his mental state has improved, he is well-presented and is looked after wonderfully. He is happy, comfortable, talkative, mentally stimulated, and has put on weight. The staff recognise when he needs reassurance and this is always provided straight away.
He is treated as an individual with dignity and respect. Communication between the staff and myself is excellent and I am kept updated.
I am so relieved and happy that he is in such a lovely place.

Thank you to all the Vyrnwy staff.

I cannot recommend this home enough, after trying my dad in a few homes this was the one he settled into. The staff are very welcoming, they have a variety of activities throughout the week to keep the residents occupied should they wish to join in and several trips out during the year ranging from meals out to trips to surrounding areas i.e barge trips to a day at the beach.

It's in a lovely location with a river view and garden for everyone to enjoy all year round.
