I think there could be more staff available, there are no staff when we are doing our church services, just in case some problem arises. There seems to be enough staff doing the canteen, but staff are available if needed. It could have an air freshener at the door entrance.

Reply from Claire Hurworth, Care Line Manager at The Orchard Care Home

Thank you for giving us valuable feedback and we are sorry that you have found staff to be unavailable during church services and will remind them of the need to be available at all times. We will also review the need for an air freshener.

Staff seem very caring and the atmosphere is good. I have visited various care homes and your standards are higher than most. The home seems well run and residents and their families seem happy.

We are all extremely pleased with the standards of the home. It is like a home from home for my father with all his ageing disabilities and the care and attention he has received is exemplary. I would just say a big 'well done' to all the staff from the whole family.

Staff - most staff are very caring, always professional and respect residents' dignity. Some staff, in particular, go the extra mile, build a good rapport with my mother.

Need more care taken to ensure that new staff have all the necessary training.

Overall we have been very pleased with the high level of care she has received over the last ten years.

My Mum passed away a few weeks ago at The Orchard in Tillibody. During the time Mum was with you the staff were outstanding in all ways. The care and love they showed her was second to none. It was not Mum's most happiest time of her life as she did not really want to be ain a care/nursing home, but for myself and family we always were happy that she was safe.

It's good to see my grandad happy again!

Putting our grandad into The Orchard Care Home has been the best thing for him. The positive interaction with the friendly staff and other residents has bought him out of his shell. The change in him is incredible and I can't thank your staff enough for helping bring back his confidence.

Very helpful in setting everything up from doctors to dentists. Would be better if the rooms had showers. Don't know about the activities as yet as only just arrived. Will have a better idea of everything later.

Each visit to see my father is a pleasure.
Dad is so well cared for, he is clean, content and settled.
The staff are so kind, I feel like we leave dad not in a home but with family. A lot of the skills dad had lost before coming here he has regained.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Since Grandad has moved in he has regained so many skills he lost whilst in hospital and this is all thanks to the fantastic work of the care team and nurses. The staff could not be more accommodating and lovely and no request is too much to ask. I was so sad to see Grandad go to a care home but I think this is the happiest I've seen him since he got dementia. Thank you Orchard Care.

The staff at The Orchard Care Centre have cared for mum for a number of years now. She will be 95 years old this year and is lasting well as a resident with the care she receives.

She appears happy and content with her current situation and also healthy. Her accommodation is clean and tidy. She appears to be 'at home' here. The staff are all local ladies and are extremely caring towards all residents.
