I am well looked after, I enjoy the meals they are good. I enjoy my trips out on a Monday and the entertainment in the care home. I would say it is a good place to come to if you need to.

My mother is delighted with the place. The food is good. The staff are very friendly and attentive. She is very comfortable here, although she has been confined to her room for a couple of weeks due to Covid.

My mother is happy and content in Newcarron Court Care Home, giving me peace of mind and a lot less worry. On the whole, she likes the food from what I've seen the home baking is good. The staff are pleasant, caring and seem hard working. This month has seen Covid reappearing and we've been unable to go for an outing but better safe than sorry. One of my mother's issues was not drinking enough and on two occasions she has not had a jug of juice or water available to her.

The care provided to my wife is very good. Obviously with the pandemic, just now the house is under pressure from all sides so I am looking forward to the home being allowed to function normally without all the restrictions.

I am very grateful for the care my Dad has had at Newcarron Court. Without exception, every interaction I have had with the staff has been positive. Dad has been treated with great kindness and compassion throughout his stay. I knew he was safe and warm, not to mention extremely well fed. It's a worrying time for family, so it's a great relief to have confidence in the capabilities of the team, they have provided excellent care. Staff members have dealt with potentially tricky situations with warmth and good humour. The food always looks good and I know he has enjoyed it. I am certain this has helped with his recovery. I could name many members of staff but would hate to leave anyone out! I have spoken to a couple of auxiliaries and they have been great too. Thanks to everyone at Newcarron Court.

It would be hard to find fault with anything to do with the care of my mum since she has been a resident. At a baseline level, the standards set inside the facility are absolute what a relative would expect. Beyond that, it's the things you have to really pay attention to. to notice that matter...

Sometimes that is about things that aren't captured in surveys. Things like love. It's not just that my mum is looked after and care for, that she's comfortable, well-fed or that she has things to do. It's that she's loved and show love by the staff. That means the most.

Covid has obviously changed this and made everything much more difficult for everyone. I think the staff working in the unit where my mum is, did their very best under difficult circumstances. It was difficult to read about how high up the table of Covid deaths Newcarron Court Care Home was, as I was relatively unaware of this issue throughout the pandemic. My mum seems to have made it through, so far, and hopefully, with Covid on the run and with effective personal restrictions in place, things will pick up - re, visits, activities, number of residents attending meals etc. Not quite back to "normal" yet, however.

It's been a very challenging time for Care Homes and also really difficult for families and we thank you very much for your patience and understanding during this period. We are getting back to some kind of normality and hope that restriction will continue to ease and life can get back to where it was pre-Covid soon. All of our residents and staff have been double vaccinated for some time now and along with routine staff testing and effective infection control procedures, this should give us all confidence that the recovery is progressing really well. I especially enjoy bringing residents together for afternoon entertainment, trips to local cafés and clubs, and community events that spark joy and connection. Fundraising is also something I love, as it brings people together for a great cause.
