This is mums 3rd stay at Anfield House she is made so welcome and all staff are so friendly she was out twice to the canal and garden centre this time and enjoyed the activities the rooms are lovely and kept spotless also meals are good many thanks again I can relax on my holiday knowing mum is safe
and being cared for.

Annfield House offers convalescent and nursing care that is uncomment among care homes. The staff are all caring, competent and encouraging with every resident. Each resident is treated with respect and as an individual. The services are excellent, the food delicious, activities low key but appropriate
and inclusive. I would recommend this care facility for short or long-term stay.

My 10 day respite stay at Annfield House has been a very enjoyable experience. I am paraplegic and my condition requires a lot of physical care, and this has come from a well trained and professional group of staff who are also very kind and friendly. I saw the staff give that same level of kindness
and professionalism to other residents. There were indoor activities every day, and I also went walking and cycling with groups. The food is good and I always had a choice at mealtimes. I hope to come back again in the future. My thanks to you all.

Twice we haven't been given relevant information. This particular week he went five days without being a shower or being showered. A wash yet but not a shower.

I visit my uncle with my dad every two weeks. I have only come across one member of staff I didn't like. I can't comment on value for money as I don't deal with that. Fish and porridge are a bit hit-and-miss. Having said that the staff are all lovely, caring, kind, helpful, approachable and nothing
is a problem. All are cheery and chatty. Not a bother getting my uncle into his wheelchair so we can take him out for fresh air and a different view. Loads of activities, he enjoys the music and singers and does enjoy a trip out, went tenpin bowling and loved it! The home is nice and clean too.

All staff are very friendly and welcoming, nothing is a bother to them when approached. The newsletter is a nice touch and gives visitors to my mum something to talk about and see what she has been doing.

Our visit to my brother in July has left us with happy memories of our time with him, the natural warmth and care towards him, and indeed all residents was evident in the cheerful and happy atmosphere throughout the home. Our thanks to all the staff for making our visit so welcoming. We live a long

Care given to my aunt is very good. At the start of her time at Annfield she wanted just to be left alone in her room but with encouragement from staff she now has meals in the dining room and joins in activities. She is content and always says that staff are very kind to her.

My mum moved here in September 2023. She was previously in another home. I am delighted with Annfield House Care Home for so many reasons. It has a lovely, warm, homely feel. The staff are very friendly, approachable and helpful. Nothing is too much for them. My mum has settled well and is very happy
there. She loves the room, the staff and the food. There is no comparison to the previous home. It's like night and day. She was unhappy before and unstimulated. It has been the best move ever.

My mum recently moved into Annfield House from a previous care home. Since day one, my mum has been a different person. She is attending activities on a daily basis, which did not previously happen. Staff were so welcoming, not just to my mum but also her family. I have observed my mum and other residents
being treated with dignity and respect. I would recommend Annfield House to anyone. Having a loved one move into a care home is an anxious and worrying time for everyone, however seeing her thrive and clearly enjoying life again has been the decision made for everyone.

Very good care home, my aunt was well looked after and enjoyed her life here in her latter years. Staff couldn't do enough for her, from kitchen staff to management, all provided excellent care. Food always looked delicious.

Mum moved here from an assessment centre and was immediately made to feel at home. Naturally, she took a couple of weeks to settle but the staff were very helpful and welcoming. She is now very settled and enjoying staying here thanks to the warm surroundings and friendly atmosphere.

Every member of staff was fantastic. They showed the greatest care and respect towards my mother. Nothing was a bother to the staff. Great management and beautiful food served every day. From initially being shown round Annfield House through to patient admittance to ensuring my mother has settled into the home after her stroke, I have found Annfield to be very patient, family-friendly, and welcoming. We have easy access to approachable staff with any issues we have, issues (not many)
are resolved very quickly. My 85-year-old father is even looked after by the nurses and staff when he visits. Outstanding service. My family are 100% trusting of Annfield that my mother is safe and well. I would like to see rooms and dining are upgraded and refreshed, the gardens too could do with a tidy up. I would volunteer to help if required (garden). Very happy with Annfield overall.

What does ‘kindness’ mean to you?


As a Registered Nurse, Denise has over 20 years’ experience in providing care and support for older people to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest possible standards in care and quality of life for Residents.


Having worked for HC-One for a number of years, Denise closely shares the company’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She extends this caring approach to her colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support in a way that Residents gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


She also works hard to arrange events and activities with nearby organisations and is always quick to welcome the local community to Annfield House.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Denise remarked:


“I enjoy meeting and building relationships with our Residents and their families in order to make a difference to their lives.”


Outside of work, Denise enjoys spending quality time with her friends and family.
