This is mums 3rd stay at Anfield House she is made so welcome and all staff are so friendly she was out twice to the canal and garden centre this time and enjoyed the activities the rooms are lovely and kept spotless also meals are good many thanks again I can relax on my holiday knowing mum is safe and being cared for.
Annfield House offers convalescent and nursing care that is uncomment among care homes. The staff are all caring, competent and encouraging with every resident. Each resident is treated with respect and as an individual. The services are excellent, the food delicious, activities low key but appropriate and inclusive. I would recommend this care facility for short or long-term stay.
My 10 day respite stay at Annfield House has been a very enjoyable experience. I am paraplegic and my condition requires a lot of physical care, and this has come from a well trained and professional group of staff who are also very kind and friendly. I saw the staff give that same level of kindness and professionalism to other residents. There were indoor activities every day, and I also went walking and cycling with groups. The food is good and I always had a choice at mealtimes. I hope to come back again in the future. My thanks to you all.
Twice we haven't been given relevant information. This particular week he went five days without being a shower or being showered. A wash yet but not a shower.
Thank you for your review regarding Annfield House. I am so sorry that you feel information has not been cascaded well, with regards to the shower we must respect individual wishes however, the Home Manager is happy to discuss this with you further at a time that suits you.
I visit my uncle with my dad every two weeks. I have only come across one member of staff I didn't like. I can't comment on value for money as I don't deal with that. Fish and porridge are a bit hit-and-miss. Having said that the staff are all lovely, caring, kind, helpful, approachable and nothing is a problem. All are cheery and chatty. Not a bother getting my uncle into his wheelchair so we can take him out for fresh air and a different view. Loads of activities, he enjoys the music and singers and does enjoy a trip out, went tenpin bowling and loved it! The home is nice and clean too.
Thank you so much for your review, I am sorry there is a member of staff you feel you do not like, can I please invite you into the care home so we can discuss and resolve this for you.
All staff are very friendly and welcoming, nothing is a bother to them when approached. The newsletter is a nice touch and gives visitors to my mum something to talk about and see what she has been doing.
Our visit to my brother in July has left us with happy memories of our time with him, the natural warmth and care towards him, and indeed all residents was evident in the cheerful and happy atmosphere throughout the home. Our thanks to all the staff for making our visit so welcoming. We live a long distance away and this visit was filled with happy memories.
Knowing that she is looked after and in a safe environment is a great relief to us.
My mum moved here in September 2023. She was previously in another home. I am delighted with Annfield House Care Home for so many reasons. It has a lovely, warm, homely feel. The staff are very friendly, approachable and helpful. Nothing is too much for them. My mum has settled well and is very happy there. She loves the room, the staff and the food. There is no comparison to the previous home. It's like night and day. She was unhappy before and unstimulated. It has been the best move ever.
My mum recently moved into Annfield House from a previous care home. Since day one, my mum has been a different person. She is attending activities on a daily basis, which did not previously happen. Staff were so welcoming, not just to my mum but also her family. I have observed my mum and other residents being treated with dignity and respect. I would recommend Annfield House to anyone. Having a loved one move into a care home is an anxious and worrying time for everyone, however seeing her thrive and clearly enjoying life again has been the decision made for everyone.
We cannot thank everyone at Annfield House Care Home enough for their hard work in making my grans stay so comfortable. The staff are so welcoming, friendly and nurturing; they can't do enough to help. My gran has enjoyed the wealth of activities on offer and has benefitted from the delicious, homecooked meals. In her own words, "it's been a home-from-home".
Very good care home, my aunt was well looked after and enjoyed her life here in her latter years. Staff couldn't do enough for her, from kitchen staff to management, all provided excellent care. Food always looked delicious.
I am well looked after. Good food and pleasant staff. Thank you.
Mum moved here from an assessment centre and was immediately made to feel at home. Naturally, she took a couple of weeks to settle but the staff were very helpful and welcoming. She is now very settled and enjoying staying here thanks to the warm surroundings and friendly atmosphere.
My mum is well looked after, good food, activities. Excellent staff and plenty of them. Treat each resident as an individual and not a number.
My gran is very well looked after and cared for to a high standard. All her needs are met and the staff go above and beyond for special occasions and day-to-day events.
Every member of staff was fantastic. They showed the greatest care and respect towards my mother. Nothing was a bother to the staff. Great management and beautiful food served every day. Annfield is a very caring and loving environment. Could not have wished for a better home for my mother. The staff are 'angels on earth'.
I would like to express my sincere thanks for the care and attention given to my dad in the short time he has been a resident in Annfield House. A well-run ship.
Accommodation very nice, bright room. Staff very helpful and caring. Good friendly atmosphere.
From initially being shown round Annfield House through to patient admittance to ensuring my mother has settled into the home after her stroke, I have found Annfield to be very patient, family-friendly, and welcoming. We have easy access to approachable staff with any issues we have, issues (not many) are resolved very quickly. My 85-year-old father is even looked after by the nurses and staff when he visits. Outstanding service. My family are 100% trusting of Annfield that my mother is safe and well. I would like to see rooms and dining are upgraded and refreshed, the gardens too could do with a tidy up. I would volunteer to help if required (garden). Very happy with Annfield overall.
Thank you for your very positive comments regarding the care delivered at Annfield and for how the staff look after both your Mother and your Father. The home is about to undergo a refurbishment which will hopefully result in a positive change to the décor. With regards to the Garden, we do have a...
