The staff are generally kind, caring and helpful and our mother seems happy and contented.
My Father is very happy at Goldielea and well looked after. We are very pleased with the staff and service offered overall with the exception of one point, this being the location of the residents smoking room. Firstly it is next to the dining/seating area and the smell wafting out is very unpleasant and, secondly, this is the only entrance/exit for residents with mobility issues. If this could be addressed I would rate Goldielea very highly indeed.
Mum has been at Goldielea for nearly two years and has settled in really well, Goldielea is a safe and homely environment. Staff are wonderful and understand all her needs and she enjoys the activities and company. Food excellent too.
The residents are treated with respect and their needs met. Nothing is ever a chore for any of the staff if you ask them to do something. Goldielea always has something going on, so that residents and relatives alike can have an enjoyable day. Goldielea is a fantastic residential home. From the beautiful surroundings to the amazing staff who are so dedicated and genuinely care. I can't fault it.
The layout of the carehome is very spacious, lots of sunlight, great gardens and view. The staff are really friendly and I believe attentative to the needs of the care workers. and to me it appears very well managed and a well run care home. There are plenty of activities for the residents and my father gets involved in most activities and enjoys them.
