My great gran is so happy and contented at Balfarg. The staff are attentive and no request is too much. The activities are varied and tailored to meet the needs of all the people who live there. It is just like a big house with a big family living in it.

A loving caring nursing home, my wife settled very quickly over a year ago and continues to be happy and contented. The staff really care about their residents, they are attentive and loving all with a happy and humorous approach. Facilities are good, comfortable with very good food. Management are also very loving, plenty of activities both inside and out.

The staff are all so nice and make the residents happy.

They have good fun with them, sing along with them and have the old-time songs playing at lunchtime and it is so homely. There are a lot of activities to do, they have outings or when it is sunny, they go in the garden. Every month they have a guest singer. It is a very relaxed place to visit as well and the staff always speak to you too.

My great aunt is well cared for. The staff are attentive and caring towards her.
No task is too much for them to carry out.
The room is always spotlessly clean and fresh smelling.
There is always plenty food and alternatives are readily available.

My great aunt is settled and contented.

Generally good. Unfortunately, security can be a bit too much, not enough freedom of movement. Having said that patient care must come first.

I am very pleased with the care my mother in law receives.
She is happy, settled and well cared for.
It is a pleasure to see her getting involved in the many activities arranged and being able to interact with other residents.
The staff are friendly and helpful, always keeping me up to date on any changes required.
There is a good and varied selection of meals provided and relatives are always welcomed.

Balfarg has given my mother in law a stable home and us as family peace of mind.

My Mother (93) arrived at Balfarg Care Home on 5/12/16. She arrived with a chest infection and quickly lost weight and would not eat. This was a worrying time!

Since then, she has picked up and has met a few other residents she gets on with. She still needs to put on more weight and now that she is eating better, hopefully we will see an improvement. My brothers and sister are happy where she is, she is getting looked after well and the staff could not be more helpful.

I am telling you about the home that I am a resident. Firstly, the staff could not be nicer to all, anything I have a question about is answered. The staff are friendly in all ways, it is kept very clean and the food is lovely and served very pleasantly by the staff. The nurse couldn't be better in seeing to anything that may be bothering me.

Well looked after at Balfarg. Staff are very obliging if you need anything. I have the choice of participating in activities that interest me. I've bonded with a few of the other male residents. The standards in the home are decent enough.

My sister-in-law has been here for 3 months so I am getting to know the care home. First impressions is that the staff all seem friendly and helpful. The activities I have seen so far are enjoyed by the residents and are varied to suit their needs, coordination and abilities. Food and drink seem very good and I am sure is enjoyed by residents as they all talk about being full up. Staff are good to accommodate the fussy appetites.

My mother has vascular dementia and has been a resident in the Balfarg Care Home for 15 months now. I researched numerous care homes before deciding on the above home. I can honestly say I selected the best home for my mother as the staff treat her as one of their own relatives and the care is of a very high standard. I receive regular contact from the Balfarg enquiring if I have any concerns with my mothers care and as I visit three/four times a week I see different members of staff. My mother has settled nicely and calls her room "her home". I feel it is like an extension to my mothers family.
