I and my family members are happy with the service and care my Son is receiving at Deeside care home. The reception staff make you very welcome as do the staff on my sons floor. His room is comfortable with his personal belongings pictures and models on display. The menu has a good choice and variety. When we visit we are always offered tea or coffee and if we have any concerns they are always dealt with. The gardens and balconies are enjoyable places to get fresh air.

The social activities team do a good job and offer a variety of enjoyable activities.

My mother has been a resident at Deeside care home for over two years and I have always found the quality of care outstanding. The environment for both residents and visitors is excellent and the care and compassion shown to my mum is excellent. Overall Experience
From the very first engagement when evaluating options for residential care for my elderly mother, through to identifying and addressing a recent medical condition, the entire Deeside team have been nothing short of exemplary.
The proactiveness of the team in advance of admission, coupled with the level of detail provided during those early communications left nothing to be answered prior to my mother's arrival.
Consistently, from that very first day, the empathy and consideration shown not only to my mother but also to myself and my wife, gave a strong sense of it being not just a job, but a real and genuine concern for the wellbeing of others, a clear demonstration of how very passionate the team are.
I have seen a positive significant step change in my mother's health and demeanour, she now feels extremely content and above all safe in very clean and well presented surroundings. This is entirely down to the staff at Deeside.

So far the service has been flawless, worthy of 6 stars

My mum was at Deeside Care Home for 16 months. During this time she was looked after so well. She went to the dining room for meals & went to activities. Her room was beautiful. Sadly my mum passed away 6th August the staff couldnt have done more for us if they tried. If we weren't there a staff member sat with her. The carers are angels. Thank you so much for all you did for my mum & for her family.

My mother was in Deeside care home for 3 months and the service we received was excellent throughout that time. The manager and assistant manager went out of their way to help us and make sure the admission to the home went as smoothly as possible. My mother was well looked after while she was there and the staff allowed her to stay in her room for meals as that's what she preferred to do. She loved the home bakes they served every morning and evening. She started eating cooked meals again which she had stopped doing at home.

Sadly my mum passed away in July and once again the care home handled that so sensitively allowing us to be with mum in her room in her own n private space for the last few days of her life. At that point they cared for us as well as mum and it made such a difference at that difficult time.

We had kept my mother in her own home for as long as possible but in the last few months she needed more care. The staff at Deeside were fantastic. They visited Mum before she moved in, let us arrange her room so that it felt like her home and even hung some of her family photos. They supported us during the transition and even arranged a family meal for us to join Mum in their fine dining suite.
Mum was so well cared for and as a family we were always made welcome. We could pop in at anytime to see her.
During Mum's final few days we were able to stay with her 24 hours a day. The staff were amazing caring not just for Mum but for the family too. They were professional, respectful and compassionate.

I would thoroughly recommend Deeside Care Home.

Deeside was my Gran's home for the last few months of her life. The care she received was exemplary and the carers are a credit to Deeside. As a family we were always welcome. Whether it was middle of the day or later in the evening. We were taken care of too, there was always a cup of tea or juice offered!! As the time came for my Gran passing away, we were and she was cared for exceptionally well and, in terms of palliative care, I recommend 100%. Nothing was too much trouble, they accommodated for me to stay over night when we knew she was nearing the end and, that meant an awful lot. Her passing was peaceful and the care couldn't have been better.

My mother joined Deeside as a new full time resident in November 24. Everything was new to her as she'd not been on an earlier respite visit. The staff were so welcoming and encouraging to mum and have continued to be so (for all of us). After three months my mother has settled in so very well. She is happy and is in many ways healthier and is very comfortable and 'at home'. Preparing and making that huge move into a 'home' has been so very stressful. But I have to say Deeside has been wonderful.

My mum's experience at Deeside was excellent overall. Both my mum and the family were cared for and supported well during her time there. The nursing care was outstanding and so efficient at all stages of her residency. All the staff including care, cleaning, kitchen and administrative staff were interested and reactive to any concerns or questions. Many staff who were not in a formal care position demonstrated genuine care and respect for my mum. The management of the home is highly efficient and deals with all issues raised promptly and with understanding.

I'm so glad I chose Deeside Care Home for my parents!
I feel the care offered is second to none, and I'm totally confident my Mum and Dad are in safe, expert hands, with the kindest carers, nursing staff, admin team and managers.
From the warmest welcome at reception and the homely atmosphere, all staff strive to help residents live to their full potential, and participate in the life of the home. The wonderful activities coordinators plan programmes of events which are inclusive for all, ensuring every day is fulfilling.
The home is kept immaculate by housekeeping and maintenance staff, and my parent's nutrition has vastly improved thanks to the delicious meals.
All staff go above and beyond for the residents and their families.
This ethos is fostered by the wonderful manager, who takes the time to get to know and understand every resident, their family and friends and who ensures the home is run to an exceptionally high standard.

My parents are very happy and settled there - thank you.

Mum spent 3 years at Deeside. During this time she was very well cared for and always safe. Good communication from the care team on any issues - for example, any small falls, health concerns etc. She had access to different activities, although, as her dementia moved towards the final stages this became difficult for her. During her final weeks, she was treated with kindness and dignity. Staff ensured that someone was with her holding her hand right to the very end (This meant a lot to us as we were unable to be with her at the end). Management and nursing staff are always approachable and helpful. Care team as a whole work with kindness and consideration for the residents. I have no hesitation in recommending Deeside.
