I found staff very happy and respectful of their charges. Activities plentiful and well organised. Food excels normal and varied. Visits by me are always enjoyable. Overall, very well run. I would be happy to be a resident.

Although I must say I am not happy to be here due to my circumstances, because of my requirement for care, I am content. I have found care provided has been excellent. The food is again excellent, the single most enjoyable and beneficial factor of my stay would be the physiotherapy.

My friend has been a resident here for a number of years. She is very settled and happy here. She is encouraged to do a variety of activities and is supported in doing so. She has had her ups and downs, but overall I think she is very content.

Outstanding level of care and attention to my mother's needs.
Staff are so caring and committed to their work. Superb amount of entertainment. Beautiful grounds and the choice of food is fantastic. The rooms are currently to be upgraded but sitting areas are lovely.

I have a good relationship with them and have a good laugh with the staff. I have no worries about my daughter, they look after her well.

Drummond Grange, from my experience so far, is a nice place to be/live. The staff are friendly and approachable. The food seems nice and there appears to be plenty of activities and things going on to keep residents busy/entertained. The grounds are also lovely. A positive experience so far!

Dad is looked after brilliantly. All the staff were so friendly and helpful and could not have done more for dad before in the later stages of his life. I would not have any hesitation in recommending Drummond Grange to anyone that would require the same sort of care that dad needed.

Staff second to none, can not praise them highly enough. The way they cared for my dad was impeccable, the way they were considerate to us as a family was also impeccable. Unfortunately, dad never has a lot of time, but his last days were as good as we could ask. Thank you again from all our family.
Exceptional service by everyone concerned in providing care for our nephew.

Very happy with the care and the way my mum is treated with dignity, affection, and humour. She went downhill early this year and the recovery she has since made is brilliant and I feel this is largely due to the care and attention she has been given by staff at the home.

I think Drummond Grange is a perfect place to stay. The staff are efficient, management is very good and the home is lovely and clean. There is always plenty of activity and outings for the residents. They are well catered for in every way.

Was not sure on my mother's arrival if this was the right choice (care/accommodation) However due to excellent staff and management this ended up most favourable. No complaints whatsoever.

Thank you for taking the time to look further into what we have to offer to you or your loved one. Here is an opportunity to look at some of our staff team in the home, who all play a vital role in day-to-day life.

Brian Arthur
My Name is Brian. I have been a nurse all told for nearly 16 years. Having studied at Napier University in Edinburgh. I have worked with Barchester for around 12 years. I first joined as part of the night shift team, which I have been doing for 7 years. Being in charge of a unit has its own challenges, one of which I relish. Making a real difference in our residents' lives is a wonderful thing to see. For most of our residents, we become a surrogate family. It is important to us all that a strong family feeling is important.
My life outside Drummond is all about my family, including my two dogs and, of course, my football team shhhhhh. Be it as a resident, staff member, or volunteer, come join us, you won’t regret it.

Hi, I’m Susan I joined Barchester in 2017, working across the 4 Barchester homes in the Edinburgh area. Coming to Barchester has allowed me to combine my passions of Health and Social care and training. Outside work, I enjoy live music going to gigs and spending my free time with my family and friends. My daughter is a regular visitor to the homes and loves joining in the many activities that our amazing homes organise.
