Sadly Mum died 4 weeks ago and I will always be grateful to Cluny staff for their dedication to making this so dignified and peaceful and enabling her to die there and not be transferred to hospital. The care shown to Mum and us was exceptional and will never be forgotten.
I would not hesitate to recommend Cluny Lodge as a nursing home of choice.

I have worked for Elder Homes for just over 10 years and started as a newly qualified nurse in the Balmoral suite. Over the years I have worked my way up to unit manager and now work in the Argyll Unit. I studied adult nursing and found my passion working with older adults. In my free time I enjoy both watching and attending rugby matches and following Scotland at Murrayfield. I am hoping to do the Lions tour of New Zealand in 2029. I have grand plans to do a world cruise when I retire. I enjoy movies and going to the cinema. I live with my partner, and we have a crazy cat called Luna. My nieces and nephews mean the world to me, and I love being the aunty who gets to spoil them with sugar and toys.
As General Manager I have a great opportunity to work with all the different teams at Elder Homes, bringing previous experience of process improvements and supporting the Digital Journey all care homes now must take. Moving into the care sector has been a very rewarding experience and one I continue to look forward to for many more years.
Away from work I love spending time with my wife, 3 kids and dog.
With a career spanning over two decades at Elder Homes, I have cultivated a diverse skill set and extensive knowledge in the realm of senior care management. My educational foundation, coupled with hands-on expertise, has propelled me from my initial role as a Unit Manager to my current position as the Group Care Home Manager overseeing both Cluny Lodge and Chamberlain Care homes.
As the Group Care Home Manager, I am deeply committed to upholding the highest standards of care and support, fostering a homely and welcoming environment for residents. Leveraging my wealth of experience, I lead a dedicated team to ensure an unparalleled level of service that goes beyond expectations.
Beyond the professional sphere, I enjoy reading, I am a passionate traveller, and cherish moments spent with loved ones. These personal pursuits enrich my life and contribute to a holistic perspective that I bring to my role as a caretaker and manager.

Married with a 16-year-old son. I’ve been a qualified RGN for 21 years and have worked for Elder Homes Ltd for nearly 17 years now having originally started in the care sector working in Cluny lodge as a care assistant in 1995.
Part of my role is to support staff from their induction and throughout their progress within Elder Homes. This includes developing and delivering relevant training around all subjects, with a particular focus on dementia and end of life care. It is a privilege to watch staff grow in knowledge and confidence and know that this will help continue to deliver the best quality care to those we support. Within my role I also support family members and students, during their time connected to Elder Homes.
Growing up I always wanted to be a nurse or a teacher – I now get to do both! I trained as a nurse in the West Midlands, a long time ago, then moved up to Edinburgh in 1992, where I ‘fell into’ care home nursing but realised I loved it.
We recently moved out of Edinburgh and I am loving exploring Midlothian with my 2 year old dog, Bonnie
Albanian by origin, I embarked on a new chapter in Scotland in 2009. In Albania, I worked as a notary assistant for nearly 3 years. Since 2012, I’ve been working for Elder Homes LTD, starting as a Domestic Assistant and now flourishing as a Hotel Services Supervisor. The genuine joy derived from this work is why I continue to thrive in this environment. Balancing this with motherhood to my vibrant 8-year-old son, my family is my anchor. In my leisure, I immerse myself in the beauty of nature through hiking and cycling, find solace in the pages of books, and enjoy the thrill of various sports like tennis and volleyball.
I love dancing and I have passed this onto the residents with a Seated Dance class with music from 50’s 60’s and 70’s. I also have a Tai Chi class with the residents.
I moved to Edinburgh in 2003 and I started working for Elder Homes in September that year. During my time with the Company, I worked both in Chamberlain and Cluny Lodge but Chamberlain was my first Home and I happily returned here to take over as Unit Manager in December 2022.
