The complex is very secure and well manned.
Staff are very friendly and good with the clients, they have empathy and patience. Plenty of support is provided and personal hygiene is a priority, nothing is a bother for them. Meals are excellent and choices are offered, tea and juice is also provided
throughout the day along with biscuits and cake. There are varied activities that suit everyone if you want to join in.
The complex is spotless and always getting cleaned.
I was upset putting my dad into a care home but had no choice as he was a falls risk amongst other things. Can safely say I have came to terms with it as he is very happy and well looked after.
They are treated with dignity and respect, brilliant Care Home.

My dad has been Muirshiel unit for over 2 years now and I have been consistently delighted with the care he has received. His needs have changed considerably since he moved in and the staff have been excellent in identifying changes, adapting his care and keeping me updated and involved in all decisions.

My cousin is very happy and content.
They have just painted her room and have it very homely and to my cousin's taste. The staff always keep me updated with all my cousin's needs and concerns. Overall I am very happy with the care my cousin receives.

I was visiting for my friend's 90th birthday. The home provided a delicious buffet for us in a private room decorated with balloons and banners. An entertainer sang later for all residents. Staff were fantastic as always. My friend loves the home. He is exceptionally well cared for in a spotlessly clean,
fresh environment. The residents of Cochrane Care Home are extremely lucky to live in such a caring place.

I wish to commend the care my husband received, due to severe mobility issues following a devastating stroke which left him unable to function daily without a great deal of help and care. The staff at Muirshiel Unit were exceptional in kindness and patience at all levels, assisting him with food and
drink as he was rarely out of bed and his care included a great deal of time and work for all of them, even getting to know his preferences and respecting him at all times. His end-of-life care was second to none for both of us.

I must thank Cochrane Care Home for the care and duty they gave to both my father and mother whilst they were residents in the home. Living in Glasgow I knew the care my father got and when my mother entered I had no problem travelling the miles as I knew she was in good hands. Thank you.

My mum was in Cochrane care home for three months and recently moved but this was due to the location to have her closer to family. During her time she was cared for by wonderful staff who took the time to get to know her. The staff are led by a manager who has her residence staff at the heart of everything.
It was a fairly stressful time moving my mum but the staff were professional, kind, compassionate and kept my mum and her needs at the centre at all times.

Safe, caring and respectful are a few descriptions of the excellent staff in the unit looking after Dad. Always welcoming to family and visitors. After a short illness, at age 92 years, he passed away with dignity and his family at his bedside. Carers and nurses were most attentive to his and visiting
family's needs at a difficult time. A heartfelt thank you to you all.

My mum is currently living at Cochrane Care Home, she loves it there and is very well looked after. The staff are amazing, they clearly all love their jobs because there is a lovely atmosphere around the place. We know when we are not with Mum she is well looked after and the staff go above and beyond.
We can't thank them enough. They are also very supportive and caring towards the families. We just appreciate everything they all do.

Mum fell in her house and was in the hospital for six weeks. We knew she couldn't go home. Helped Dad choose a nearby home. Mum went from hospital to Cochrane Care Home during lockdown in September 2020. We could not visit either the hospital or the home.
Keeping in touch with Cochrane House, they
gave us updates, Mum had settled in well.
The kind and caring staff has given Dad peace of mind, Mum is safe, happy and content.

My mother has had continual chest infections these past few months and as always the staff have been very much on "the ball" and have contacted the medical professionals very promptly. An ambulance has attended three times and she was admitted to hospital for an overnight stay. On the third occasion,
they have also sourced antibiotics from GPs. We couldn't be happier or more grateful for the care and attention shown to her by all the staff in her almost thirteen-year stay.
