My wife has been happy since she's been there.
Thank-you very much for sharing your positive experience at Deanfield. Best wishes
It was no longer safe for my dad to remain at home due to his dementia. A weight has lifted off me since the day my dad moved in.
Due to my physical disability and chronic pain I couldn't support my dad full time.
The home is safe and secure and my dad is well cared for. He has a lovely room and a view of the garden. The home provides a great menu and my dad has a cooked breakfast every morning.
His room is always clean and tidy and my dad is always dressed well when I visit.
I can't thank the staff enough for the care and support they provide.
Thank-you so much for sharing your positive experience at Deanfield Care Home and it's fantastic that your dear dad has settled in so well. Best wishes
Our Dad was a resident in Deanfield Care Home for 8 weeks following a prolonged hospital admission where it was decided that he could no longer safely live at home. At the time of his discharge there was no availability in any of the care homes within our local area therefore we were asked to consider homes further away.
We had no prior knowledge of Deanfield before our Dad moved there but we could tell that it was a warm, happy home from the moment we first visited.Every member of staff we encountered during our Dad's stay including management, admin, estates and laundry were very friendly.
The care staff were always so cheerful, kind and compassionate towards our Dad and the other residents. We absolutely appreciate how challenging their jobs can be and really can't thank them enough for looking after our Dad (and us) so well.
We recently moved our Dad from Deanfield to be closer to us but would not have done so if we lived nearby as the home and it's staff were wonderful.
My dad arrived at Deanfield following a serious fall (broken hip) and a prolonged stay in hospital. In addition he has (and continues to deal with) other significant health conditions. His condition in just a few weeks has improved significantly. He is looked after by a kind and caring ream who are clearly committed to ensuring all care needs are met with attention and profesisonalism. More importantly me, and my mum (who visits daily), are treated with dignity and respect and they are able to share meaningful time together. This is priceless to me.
Thank-you so much for your lovely review. We are thrilled that your dear dad is enjoying living at Deanfield and that you are so pleased with the care that he receives. Best wishes.
Her room is bright and with the addition of some of her personal belongings makes it more homley for her.
Nothing seems to be too much for all members of staff who are always on hand to assist with the daily demands of a care home. My mum quickly made a friend and has become more outgoing and getting her hair done always cheers her up. Having a beauty room and small library, even though she doesn't use that, is a great addition for anyone who just need a quiet place to sit and read. Overall I am very pleased with the home as the three most important things to me is for her to be safe, happy, and have dignity and I genuenly feel Deanfield provide this
Thank-you so much for your lovely review and it is fantastic to hear that your mum is doing so well and enjoying living at Deanfield. Best wishes

I highly recommend this nursing home. My aunt has just completed her 6-week review period. The staff are caring and compassionate. Clean and well-maintained facilities. Engaging activities and nutritious meals. There is a stable team who are there ready to help with any questions. Very well run. There is always a fast response to accessing health professionals.
Thank-you very much for your recommendation. We are delighted to hear that you are so pleased with the facilities and service at Deanfield and that you are reassured that your Aunt is being well cared for. Best wishes.

We kept my mum at home during COVID and then were looking for somewhere she felt comfortable, and would look after her needs due to her Parkinson's and assistance with feeding.
The staff at Deanfield were very attentive, friendly and professional. Mum settled in quickly and felt at home with the sociable staff. She enjoyed the activities and the personal touch of knowing her history, her preferred foods and her daily habits. She felt very relaxed after the apprehension of losing her independence.
Choosing a care home is a challenge but the Manager and the Care team made it as easy as possible, and my Mum and my family are very grateful for looking after her so well.
Thank you so much for your lovely review and words of praise. On behalf of the whole team, we send our heartfelt gratitude and kindest thoughts to you and all of the family. Best wishes.
Our friend entered the home in August 2024. We had several visits beforehand and had liked the atmosphere and ethos of the home. He settled in straight away due to the friendliness and support of the management and staff. He put on weight, looked so much better and was a lot happier with life. Such a successful outcome! He has continued to make great progress living in the home going on outings taking part in activities and forming friendships. This is all due to the dedication and hard work of staff and management.
Thank-you very much for your lovely review and for sharing your positive experience at Deanfield Care Home. We are delighted that your friend has settled in so well and is thriving and enjoying living with us. We will pass on your compliments to the team. Best wishes.

All the staff are friendly and caring. I am kept up to date with any changes to my husband's condition and any change of treatment required. My views are taken into account and any issues I have are looked into. I am happy with the care my husband receives and he is always treated with dignity.
Thank-you so much for sharing your positive experience at Deanfield. Best wishes

My aunt unfortunately passed away in August 2024. She had been a resident of Deanfield since February 2017. In all that time she was treated with the utmost respect and care from all the staff and management. Deanfeld truly was her happy place. The staff deserve credit for the attention and care given to their residents.
We extend our ongoing condolences for the recent loss of your dear aunt. It is reassuring to know that you and the family were pleased with the care she received at Deanfield and that aunt was so happy living here with us. We miss her very much and send our best wishes to all the family.
Having just had a relatives meeting at the home I am really pleased with what has been outlined for the future of the unit as a whole. They have over the last six months put things in place which are now showing a great benefit to the residents. I am aware that funding is a problem throughout the care industry but with more discussion I'm sure we all can help our loved ones. I am really happy with the care and support my wife received, it is great to know that she is treated with dignity.
Hello and thank you very much for your review. Thank you also for attending the recent relative's meeting and we are delighted that you found this to be useful and informative. It's very heartening to hear that you are so happy with the care and support your wife receives at Deanfield and we will share your kind comments with the team. Best wishes.
My mother came into the care home in February. The staff and management were very helpful, kind and attentive. There were some issues regarding other residents coming into my mother's room, this was due to other residents having Dementia so I was understanding of this. The staff tried different tactics and solutions to deter other residents from coming into my mother's room. When another room had become available she was moved to another more suitable room. This was much better and more reassuring. Overall I can't thank the staff enough for the care and kindness they have given my mother, family and friends.
My nana has been in here for over 10 years. It was a great care home back then. More recently there is staff shortages, miscommunication and also neglect happening. There isn't enough staff in this building to care for dementia patients. At one point this week there were 3 members of staff. Residents are being neglected in terms of personal hygiene as well. Many times I have had to report residents to staff and ask staff to change them as they have been walking about without pads being changed. Some staff are absolutely lovely and you can't fault them personally. They are completely overworked and put under stress in their workplace. There is certainly a lot of miscommunication as well and staff tell you one thing and then another staff member will say that's not correct and tell you different information.
Hello and thank you very much for your feedback. The comments raised are not what we expect in any of our services and we will conduct a full internal investigation into the specific issues that you feel have occurred. In the meantime we would appreciate your assistance to make any improvements...
I am thoroughly delighted with the level of care my aunt receives and has received over the last year. All the nursing staff who have cared for my aunt have been fantastic and always keep me up to date with any needs my aunt may have.
Thank you very much for your review and delighted that you feel so happy with your aunt's care and with our staffing team. Best wishes
