Deanfield has an experienced care team who offer numerous types of care; these include nursing, convalescence, palliative care, respite and nursing dementia care. The team is also trained to help those with Parkinson’s disease, carrying out tailored packages to suit each resident’s well-being.

The facility, which has pleasant gardens and homely furnishings, is organised to suit an independent lifestyle at the same time as offering full-time access to a professional team. A sensory garden allows residents to make the most of the summer months.

Mealtimes are sociable occasions, though residents can eat in their own rooms if they choose, with the food menu consisting of freshly-made produce and tailored to personal taste and diet. Clients also receive a personalised, home-made cake on their birthday.

My husband has recently moved into Deanfield and has settled very well. Staff and management are very caring and professional. Food menus are excellent, residents are well cared for. I can say he and other residents are treated as individuals with respect. I like that activities are frequent if people
wish to take part. I can rest easy when I leave, secure in the knowledge he will be fine.

Home (Deanfield) is very inviting and warm maybe too warm. Staff all friendly, happy and make you welcome. My Uncle as only been there since the end of May 2019, settled well into a routine and he is very contented which make me happy. I love that you can take family pets for a visit, they have outings
which you can help them for support. Garden is lovely and bog to sit out. The staff keep you up to date on how things are if you have something to address to staff they will try to fix the problem. I'm happy that I picked Deanfield Home for my uncle.

The greatest testament to the care at Deanfield Care Home is the significant improvement in my aunt's physical condition and mental state since moving there from another facility. She has gained weight in just over four weeks and is noticeably happier. I am very pleased with the quality of the food,
the attractiveness of the room and the warmth and compassion of the staff. The management team has been very helpful and supportive.

Not happy with the meals the residents get. Broccoli soup, cola jelly, all soups are watery. No vegetables in it at all. All soup should have vegetables in it. Spoke to the chef twice and nothing has changed. Giving meals like chicken with rice, spicy food. Older people like old fashioned food. They
like custard (not custard with banana flavour through it). Just thick custard with a cake. Rice pudding should be creamy, not all matted together. For what they are paying, the meals are awful.

My father, a dementia sufferer, has been in the Deanfield Care Home since ca. February 2017.


I had read many general reports about the negative treatment of elderly patients in care homes, especially when mentally impaired. Fortunately, the staff and management of Deanfield Care Home are doing an

excellent job with, at times, very challenging patients. It is evident that there is a genuine, friendly compassionate atmosphere and my father is shown warmth and consideration.


His recent 100th birthday was celebrated with a party along with other residents and staff. It was a joy to see him so happy and contented on his big day. The staff had gone to great lengths to prepare the setting to the best of their ability, even baking a special cake for him, and the musical duo - arranged by the Care Home - really rounded things off.


I am indebted to all the staff for the excellent care they are devoting to my father and would unhesitatingly recommend the Deanfield Care Home.

The care home management and staff are very helpful and courteous at all times. They have shown my mum a great deal of care and support whilst maintaining her dignity and quality of life at all times. The staff take time to me and always make me feel at ease in the knowledge that my mum is receiving
excellent care. I have every confidence in all members of staff that I have spoken with and most importantly, my mum is happy and settled in her new home.

My father has been here since June 2018; I have visited twice (as I live overseas) and from what I see, my dad looks well cared for; while his memory is gone, he looks physically very well. I have spoken to the nursing staff and they are kind and caring. My only "negative" comments would be that the
maintenance of his room could be better. One of the drawer handles was broken and had not been repaired at my last visit.


One suggestion I would make is that because I live overseas, more email communication would be preferable for me though I cannot complain -- whenever I have contacted the care home, the response has been fast.


My dad seems to be quite settled and comfortable and he is safe and being looked after. I cannot ask for anything more.

My mother was admitted to Deanfield in August this year. The staff are extremely helpful. It has been a trying time for our extended family at this time and although we have had a few unsettling periods with our mother, the staff have always been on hand to help and reassure us. Thankfully now our mother
is more settled to her environment and it is no doubt through the hard work put in by the staff.

I was there while my husband had 2 weeks respite.
The carers there were pleasant and very helpful.
Nothing was too much trouble for them.
The manager was a wonderful lady who came to see me just about every day.
The meals were well-prepared and of good quality and generous with no indication of
stinting in any respect.
For the 2 week period I was there I was very happy and settled in immediately on arrival.

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2023

I began my journey at Deanfield Care Home in June 2023 as Deputy Manager and subsequently, it was a great privilege to progress to the role of Home Manager.


With many years of experience in healthcare and nursing, my goal is to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere and to ensure that residents, their families, our staff and visitors all feel at home.


The well-being and dignity of the residents are paramount, and we constantly strive to make sure that they experience the highest quality of life and receive the very best support and compassion.


Please come and say hello when you are visiting your loved ones. Together, we can continue to make Deanfield a wonderful place for everyone.
