Since my mum arrived at your care home the kindness, patience and professionalism received by my mum + the family has made such a difference. It's wonderful to see how well she has settled in and how comfortable she is in her new surroundings. Over the past few weeks we have noticed a real improvement in her mood and confidence. She is more relaxed and willing to interact with residents and staff. This has been very reassuring for us as a family, and we are grateful for the care and encouragement that has helped her reach this point. It is clear that she is being looked after with genuine warmth + respect, along with ourselves and that means a great deal to us. Please pass on our thanks to everyone involved in her day-to-day care. Thank You!

Mum is a resident at Eastbank care home in Shettleston, Glasgow. She's very poorly with dementia. The staff at simply great. She needs lots of care and help with all tasks, they are so diligent, keep me updated and take a pride in what they do. Today, despite mum's condition, the staff had lots of the residents in the lounge, singing and dancing (those that could). Mum was enjoying herself and she had a big smile on her face. It was heart warming. They are great with the residents. I admire what they do. It's a hard job I think. Thank you!

Being the first time experiencing a family member in a care home, I am happy to say that our experience has been very positive. The staff are always there to deal with any inquiries I have. The care home is very clean, and the activities are just what my dad likes, he has made some new friends and is very happy. If anything, I would say that a few more staff members would make the residents not wait too long to be tended to.

Since my 88 year old father moved into the home in December 2023, we have seen a remarkable and heart warming transformation. At first, he found it understandably difficult to accept the change, but the patience, encouragement, and genuine care shown by every member of staff made all the difference. Their consistent support helped him gradually settle, and before long he began to integrate into daily life with confidence and comfort.
The staff are attentive, professional, and clearly dedicated to the wellbeing of every resident. It is evident that they take pride in creating a safe, welcoming environment where individuals are treated with dignity and kindness. The food is always fresh, varied, and plentiful, and the entertainment programme is thoughtfully planned, offering something for everyone and delivered with enthusiasm.

What has meant the most to us is seeing my dad truly thrive. He is now revelling in being part of the home's community and has made several new friends-something

On behalf of PC, TB and family, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to everyone at Eastbank Care Home for the outstanding care they gave to our mum, Margaret. From the very beginning, the kindness, patience, and compassion shown by all the staff made such a difference to Mum's comfort and to our peace of mind as a family.
A special word of thanks goes to management and team , whose warmth and dedication truly went above and beyond. along with the whole team, they not only cared for Mum with dignity and love but also supported us as a family during the most difficult moments. In Mum's final hours, the staff's presence, reassurance, and respect helped us feel cared for too, and we will never forget the comfort that brought us.

We are so grateful for the way Eastbank Care Home looked after our mum and for the kindness shown to us as a family. We could not have asked for more compassionate care, and we will always remember it with appreciation.

The staff are excellent, any issues are addresses and rectified, management is very approachable. Admin is very good at her job, and also another member of staff. Room needs a bit updated - furniture a bit tired.
Overall the care my mother-in-law receives is excellent.

The job staff do they all need a medal and of course a wage rise.

Feedback is always greatly appreciated especially from family members. We strive to keep our environment up to a high standard and requests for refurbish are submitted on a room by room basis. We have recently had new carpets replaced in communal lounges in 2 of our units. We will of course take your comments on board and thank you for your appreciation of our hard working staff.

Overall Experience

The standard of care at this home after 8pm is extremely poor. There are clearly not enough staff in the evenings, and it shows in the level of attention residents receive-especially those who are bedbound. They're often left lying down for hours without being sat up or offered anything to keep them comfortable or entertained, like having the TV turned on.

Dinner is served very early, around 4:30pm, and after that, bedbound residents aren't offered so much as tea or toast until after 9:30pm-if at all. In some cases, residents in their rooms are completely overlooked.

Even more concerning, some are being left in wet or soiled conditions overnight because they are not being checked or changed often enough. This is completely unacceptable and needs urgent improvement. Families trust care homes to treat their loved ones with dignity, and unfortunately, that trust is being seriously let down here.

The moment we visited Eastbank, the staff welcomed and the energy was genuine and so professional. We had visited other care homes but Eastbank was head and shoulders above the rest. My brother was frail on discharge from the hospital, so the team got to work, gently encouraging him to regain his appetite and giving him the confidence to be mobile from months in bed.

The management team have an open-door policy for both staff and relatives which provided us confidence in my brother's care and we could easily talk to staff about any tweaks we needed to make for him. Eastbank is more than a care provider they are life savers both for the resident and family. We know they extended my brother's life by 18 months. They also supported us in the final months of his life and we will be forever grateful.
