Eastbank has a range of lovely dining areas where residents can relax and enjoy an intimate dining experience with family and friends. The catering team prides itself on making mealtimes a sociable and stimulating part of each day, by providing an enjoyable experience for all residents and their loved ones.

Overall service levels are good with my mother content and comfortable. Nursing staff deal well with my 94-year-old mother's medical care, following a recent in-room fall and broken hip and otherwise as required, liaising well with her G.P. and myself as her son and welfare attorney.
However, internal
staff communications are not always good and can undermine confidence in service operators.
On occasion, new nightwear and underwear deposited in her room for labelling and storage often seem to be missing.
Redecoration and reflooring private room and toilet was agreed months ago but only partly progressed to date.

My sister has been a resident of Eastbank Care Home since August 2013. During that time, I have been extremely happy with the care she has received. All of the staff at Eastbank are very kind and look after the residents with consideration to each individual. All staff are very approachable and the
staff who arrange outings and activities do a great job. As my wife and I both work full time, we are glad my sister is well looked after in a nice environment and has lots of company.

My aunt came into the care home in April and during that time, she has had an excellent standard of care and respect from the staff. She has had great care from the nursing staff, especially who have helped her cope with life in her new surroundings. The variety of food is very good and her room is
spotlessly clean at all times. The senior nurse keeps me informed at all times and I am very happy with my aunt's care.

My husband was admitted in November 2014.

Resident unhappy with some dishes on menu, especially vegetables not cooked past al dente. Also some meals are unchewable for some levels of dentures.

My mother has been in Eastbank since 2015, on the whole she has been well looked after. She doesn't mix much but when she does she enjoys it. She also looks forward to her days out.

I am very happy with the continuing care of my husband (dementia, bladder incontinence and wheelchair bound). Overall the staff are caring, friendly and approachable. In spite of occasional verbally aggressive mood swings, the staff appear to cope well and assure me that such incidents do not affect
his well being in any way. My husband has settled well into his new surroundings and looks forward to the occasional arranged trip. (I am permitted to accompany him and am quite happy to contribute towards my meals on the same. He also enjoys a domino session and gentleman's club twice weekly and enjoys frequent visits to the well maintained 'home' gardens. (Weather permitting). I recently had some issues regarding staff communication in relation to my husbands care, but since speaking to the manager I am totally assured that this aspect will be resolved. I am very happy!

The warmth and friendliness of the staff from the care assistants to the staff nurse is noticeable the moment you walk through the door. I feel relaxed and confident my is being well taken care of. Eastbank is very clean and bright with fresh decor and comfortable chairs for all the residents. The bedrooms
are spacious and well kept and the dining room is clean, modern but with a family feel to it. There is a good and varied menu and the staff always find the time to encourage the residents to eat and where necessary hand feed the patients. I have visited many nursing care homes and Eastbank for me comes out top of the list. I have no problem recommending Eastbank as a first class nursing care home.

I find record keeping very poor, mum has been punched by residents, it was reported but not recorded. I myself reported another incident again not recorded. Have spoken to two people but nothing has been done. Also private and confidential conversations are being discussed with visitors by senior staff
members.

I find the staff very caring, friendly and helpful. The care and attention given is a relief for all the family. I know she is safe and cared for. The accommodation is kept very clean and is brightly decorated. We are very happy she managed to get this level of care and such good accommodation in her

My father is in this care home. The staff have been excellent with him. We have had only one small problem and that's with the post. My father has had hospital appointments sent out (3 months in a row) which the care home never received, now that may be down to the post office or postman, never the
less everything else has been very helpful for us as a family.
