Really enjoyed seeing Mum enjoying the activities, especially the art class. My mum was never into art before her dementia really started, but when she was in the art group she really came out of her shell. I can also remember a time when my mum and our family were out in the courtyard and there was a concert on and we all, with the staff, enjoyed our day.

The Greenfield Park Care Home became my mum's home in March 2021. The staff and the residents made her feel at home and accepted her with open arms. One day there was a singer and everyone was outside listening, the lady singer involved the residents in singing and dancing and my mum really enjoyed that day. We would like to thank all staff so much, when my mum ended her journey on the 3rd of January 2023, the staff were amazing and made my mum happy when she was there.

All the staff within the home are truly amazing. In the very short time my dad has stayed there, they have all taken the time to get to know him and hear his stories. They are very generous, kind and very patient with him and take the huge pressure off me trying to look after him at home. Now he is a permanent resident, I am 100% secure that he is in the best hands, getting his medicine and being looked after whilst having all his home comforts round about him and he is safe.

My mom recently had to go to hospital and it was invaluable that she had staff from the care home with her until she got to her ward. This was easier on my mum and was less worrying for the family. When Mum returned to the home she was welcomed back like a member of the family, as were the rest of the family, by all of the staff. All staff show great care and compassion to all residents and their families.

My mum has been in the home since 2018. From her admission, all the staff have been wonderful to my mum and her family and the last year due to the home being closed, nothing was a bother to do window visits, telephonically and video calls my mum is very happy.

My brother-in-law was a resident for 14 months. The care he was given in the home was amazing. The staff could not do enough for him, they kept us informed of any changes/medical changes. Always doing everything to make him comfortable. Nothing was too much. When he passed the care of the staff was amazing, so respectful and kind.

My wee dad was only in Greenfield Park for 6 weeks in the Finlay Unit. The care he got and us was exceptional, they are just so dedicated and go above and beyond. In these harsh times it was hard to pick a care home you can't visit with staff you've never met but the whole team in the Finlay Unit - I cannot thank you all enough... If you have to put a loved one in a care home... and I was distraught at having to put my dad in a care home I knew he didn't want to go, but Greenfield Park I would want to there if I had to go into a care home... A million thank you's will never be enough!

My Mum has been in Greenfield Park for some time now - Roselea Unit. The staff have been, from the very first day, kind and attentive. But I want to say an extra special thanks for the care they have been giving over the last six months during the lockdown period. Although I can't visit, I can tell from my phone calls to mum that she is being well looked after not just physically but with friendly care and attention to the little details that can make mum happy. Moreover, the staff are always so considerate and encouraging when I call and nothing ever seems to be too much trouble. I wish all care homes were this good.

I'm happy most of the time with my mum's care. Sometimes the staff need to be reminded how much my mum depends on help.
I feel some staff go to any lengths to help my mum and reassure her when she's feeling low.

My mum has problems with her stomach and has to go to the toilet a lot.

My father has only been in Greenfield Park for two months but in that time we have seen nothing but kindness and compassion shown to him. He has, through no fault of his own, been challenging and yet the staff have continued to look after him with patience and understanding. I am very close to my dad and it has been devastating not being able to see him. The only thing that has made it bearable is knowing that the staff understand and look after him as well as they can. Thank you so much to the staff in Roselea.

My mother-in-law was a resident in the Finlay Unit at Greenfield Park. I would like to say a huge thank you to all the staff at Greenfield Park who still encourage my father-in-law to visit and is now a volunteer helping with bingo and talking to other residents. After the death of his wife, this provides him with a purpose in life.

The care home is very clean and warm. The staff are more than happy to help in any way, they have made my father feel at 'home'. The medical care has been excellent as well. My only concern is a few times communication regarding hospital appointments has not been relayed to any family member in advance. This has caused a bit of confusion for my father.

Reply from Clare Sheehan, Careline Advisor at Greenfield Park Care Home

Thank you for your excellent comments about your father's care in Greenfield Park. I am very sorry that there has been any lack of communication regarding appointments and will address this immediately so this does not happen in future.

My father spent most of his last eight months in the Oakley section of Greenfield Park and I would thoroughly recommend that as a place that cares well for elderly relatives. My father could be difficult but the staff were always pleasant and understanding with him. Making my life easier for me is that any concerns I raised were addressed rapidly and to my satisfaction by the home's manager. Don't be put off this first-rate nursing home by its location by a small business estate. The home is completely self-enclosed (with secure entry) and the environment is pleasant, with a courtyard for summer. Regular entertainment is booked and residents are encouraged to participate in activities (although never forced if it's not for them).

My uncle arrived at the care home in October 2018 and right from the start, he was treated with a high level of care and respect from dedicated staff. All of the staff, at Greenfield Park, from the manager to the office/ reception staff, nursing staff and support staff are always welcoming and friendly. The home is a clean, safe and comfortable environment and as a family, we were reassured that my uncle was receiving the best of care. At the time of his death, the staff treated him with the utmost of dignity and were a great comfort to the family.

My husband has been in Greenfield Park for a few years now. He has best care. The staff at Roselea are amazing with care and also with his speech, they take time to try to figure out what he's trying to say as he's had a major stroke also when he was admitted to hospital 2 of staff came to see him on their days off. The manager is fantastic always has time for a chat no matter what he's doing.

My brother has resided in Westerfield Brain Injury Unit in Greenfield Park Care Home for over 3 years now. He has been diagnosed with terminal cancer and has only a few months to live. The staff at Westerfield are beyond words. The care, friendship and respect they have displayed to my brother and to myself are exemplary. While is hospital, they visited and attended meetings even on their days off. The Westerfield unit go the extra mile and it's been my pleasure to know them.

My dad was in Roselea Unit for only a short period - March-May 2019 - and I would like to say how impressed all my family were with my dad's care. All staff in the Roselea Unit were wonderful to my dad and all my family. In my dad's last days, they were compassionate, caring and a comfort to us. I cannot praise them all highly enough. They are all a credit to your care home. Thank you.
