Northgate House Care Home

Hi there, from the day my mum was moved into this care home the staff have been wonderful. All questions have been answered when asked and my mum's care has been excellent. The staff went beyond their duties, especially during this difficult Covid period. I want to personally thank them all for the care they provide.

My mum is very happy and settled here. She is well cared for and always clean and tidy. The staff are lovely, very friendly and helpful. I know she is in safe hands. Highly recommended.

My dad is very settled in Northgate House Care Home. Staff have been great and keep me updated on issues. After a few stays in hospital, dad can't wait to be back at Northgate House which makes it easier on me knowing he's happy and settled.

Mum is always clean and tidy and properly dressed. Her room too is always clean and tidy. All the staff are aware of her condition and her personality traits, they are always helpful to us as a family. The care level is clearly very high and it is reassuring to us, thanks again.

My sister has been in the care home for six months, and she has been very well cared for. She is very settled and happy, and her general health has been much improved. The staff are always on hand and give her great care and support. I am much more at ease now I know she is being well cared for and happy.

Extremely pleased with the care home. Cannot praise the staff/management enough. Mum is looked after very well. Staff/management always very helpful. Can rest knowing mum is being well looked after. Would highly recommend the home to anyone.

My Aunt is a resident in Northgate House on a temporary basis, awaiting placement for long term care. My contact is limited due to covid restrictions but on occasions of phoning or visiting, staff are courteous, helpful and understanding of Aunt's needs. I only wish she was able to obtain placement here but due to her level of nursing care needs, she has to be transferred.

Mum is kept clean, tidy and stimulated. Staff are extremely caring. She enjoys her food.

Dad is looking well and is very happy with the company and food here in Martha Unit. I am so happy to see him confident and relaxed.

The is my first experience of a care home, and I have to say that it has been very favourable. The staff are all lovely and so helpful, and my mum is happy and well cared for.

It's the staff that make this home what it is. I am very, very pleased with the care my mum gets in the home. The staff are fabulous. The people skills of certain staff are second to none. Staff are exceptional. They go above and beyond all duties. 5*. Lovely to meet the lovely manager. Staff are also very helpful and are excellent to my mum and I appreciate everyone. Thank you.

My grandas only been in the care home since December and has settled in really well. Staff have been brilliant through these hard times with Covid and have always been a great support to us. Whenever I phone up to ask anything they are more than happy to help and are always friendly.

Any visits, phone calls etc have been very pleasant. Any of the staff I have come in to contact with have always been very considerate and kind and very helpful.

This has been a very hard year for families of care home residents, but I have to say Northgate House has been exceptional throughout this time. All down to the dedicated and caring staff. Cannot thank them enough. Well done to all staff!

I feel very happy for my Mum and the care she is receiving at Northgate House Care Home. The staff are all amazing, very caring, considerate and helpful and above all my Mum has settled in very well considering how the last year has been. I can't thank the staff enough for all they have done for my Mum and supported me also which has been extremely upsetting times through the covid situation.

Anytime I’ve spoken to staff I can honestly say without exception they are all helpful and have so much empathy for the situation we are all finding ourselves in just now. They give an honest update on my uncle, it’s not like calling a hosp where the reply is always ‘doing well, slept well’!

Northgate House was an intermediary care home for my Mum, who already in dementia, had a stroke before being admitted to the hospital. The level of care and attentiveness has brought big improvements in eating, movement and physical health in her time at the home. The family are all very happy that she was safe and her needs were being well looked after by a welcoming, friendly and conscientious staff. They were always willing to answer our questions and more importantly responded when Mum needed extra support or attention.

Positive experience in Northgate House, Martha unit where my mum was very well looked after. All the staff were extremely attentive and always upbeat. They definitely make a difference to people's stay in the home. A very relaxed and friendly unit.
