My father was well looked after and the nurses catered to my fathers every need. Very polite and friendly, the staff are very helpful in all aspects of my fathers care.

I always found my father to be well looked after and contented. His room was basic but spacious and clean. The staff are always friendly and attentive and I have no issues over my father's short stay.

My mum appeared to enjoy her experience in the IAO for assessment. At least I know she was being cared for and I could relax a bit knowing this. The staff all do a great job in the unit. One staff member, in particular, has been very approachable and reassuring when any issues arise, all in all, a very
well run and managed unit.

There were two things that stood out while our mother was in the intermediate care unit.
One was the immediate and full response to medical issues my mother experienced and the second but equally as important was a sense of kindness in the way staff (all staff) interacted with all individuals in the
unit.

Before my mum was admitted to Chester Park she had always asked that we never put her in a care home and had a great fear of this. So when it was decided that Mum may need care and that an assessment was needed, she was very worried about this. When Mum arrived she was greeted by the manager and the
other staff members.
Over the period of the four weeks, Mum was there, she went from someone who was very scared and no longer felt she could look after herself, to someone who would have been very happy to stay, in fact, she said she wanted to stay.
By the time Mum went home, her confidence had been built up and this was in no small part to the patience and care of the manager and her excellent staff.
Thanks to the manager, her staff, social work and the rehab team, Mum has now been home for almost five weeks and it has been very successful.
If Mum ever needs permanent care, I would be very happy for her to stay at Chester Park.

I have always found the staff very friendly and helpful. Mum has been very happy here and well looked after. The manager, in particular, runs a tight ship and can't do enough for the residents to make their stay a very happy time for them.

My mum has been cared for extremely well during her stay. Staff are always friendly, caring, respectful and always willing to help. I always felt very included in her care and her confidence has grown immensely during her stay.

Mum was in for rehabilitation after a hip operation. Staff here were extremely attentive, friendly and always had time to make Mum comfortable and feel at ease and also made family feel welcome.

My mum actually looked healthier and put on a bit of weight which to me just shows getting 24-hour care and fed regularly was most needed.

The nursing staff have been excellent and the GP called when required and hospital appointments arranged. Communication with the family has also been excellent. The care staff are very attentive in all aspects. Dad is kept motivated and stimulated by the home activities (he misses the rabbits and guinea
pig, which were in the home). A thank you to all other staff (laundry and housekeeping etc.,) who stop and talk to Dad.

Very happy with the care. Staff are very attentive and caring. I think a television should be an essential in every room as some of the residents have a serious mobility issue and can't reach the day room without assistance. Overall the care home does a great job.

I should mention I am happy with my brother's care, but I rarely would tick excellent in any review as there is always room for improvement in any situation, so by my ticking good, I assure you I am happy. I am not aware of safety/security, but I know the staff would ensure all aspects are in order.
