Buchanan Lodge Care Home, providing residential, nursing, dementia and respite care aims to enable each resident to make the most of every day by offering an active and friendly environment.

Located in Bearsden, Glasgow, the building was originally a convent building but has been sympathetically converted with residents' care and comfort in mind. Residents benefit from a varied activities programme, which includes everything from music and movement classes to quizzes and concerts to make each day fun and interesting.

The home features a TV lounge, a quiet sitting room and conservatory and a dining room where residents can socialise while enjoying tasty, nutritious home-cooked meals.

My mother was a resident in Buchanan Lodge Care Home for almost 6 years and considered it to be her home. The care and compassion given by all members of staff were praiseworthy and the attention given to my mother and the family in the last week of her life was above first class.
The home runs a varied
programme of events, concerts, outings etc and the residents all thoroughly enjoyed participating.
When visiting the home it was obvious to me that the staff morale was high and with a low turnover of staff this created a caring environment for the residents.
I have no hesitation in recommending Buchanan Lodge Care Home as an excellent care provider.

Care home is warm and friendly. I find all the staff committed to their job.
Laundry could be organised a bit better, other than that, my mother is looked after 24/7 which I know we would not manage at home.

I found staff at this care home caring compassionate and extremely competent. They cared for my cousin during a very difficult period and were thoroughly professional throughout. I would go so far as to say they went that extra mile that made an enormous difference to the quality of life my cousin experienced.
Comfortable and homely surroundings with varied menu offerings as well as many extras included. The activities coordinator is a treasure but all staff played their role to the highest standards. Have no hesitation in recommending this to others.
