I think that have been visible improvements recently. There are a lot more activities and small outings for the residents and overall a satisfactory level of care. For me: I have raised concern before in regards to my mums personal hygiene and have repeatedly left toiletries in her room that consistently disappear?

My mum is well cared for by all the staff in Woodside , as a family we feel welcomed into their home, when visiting mum we use the little cafe which is really clean and well stocked, mum thinks she is in a real cafe. We were allowed to decorate mums room to her taste with the help of staff who went out their way to accommodate us , her room is cosy and warm with a lovely view over the golf course and road where mum enjoys looking out for familiar people running and enjoying their daily activities. On the occasions when they have a entertainment afternoon all the residents and families are welcomed and they usually have juice and biscuits or cakes for a wee treat.l am so pleased my mum is in a happy place where she is safe and well looked after and it puts all our minds at rest. Thank you to all the staff at Woodside.

Overall experience for mum is very poor and has resulted in formal complaints being lodged. At this time we are awaiting updates on many fronts ranging from personal care to overall welfare and safety concerns raised at the point of mums arrival at her new home.At this point I have been informed that the above is being investigated by a new management team within the company.

As a family, we are very happy with all aspects of Dad's life in Woodside Care Home. We are very confident Dad's health needs are monitored and acted upon very quickly. The residents have lots of activities on offer, we enjoy participating in these and seeing how much Dad enjoys concerts and outings or simply going to the cafe or garden. Staff are friendly and offer help if we need it. We think very highly of the service provided.

My mother has only been a resident for a few months but the care and attention she receives is second to none all the staff are so friendly and attentive, also the activities that are available are brilliant. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, they also have other private sitting rooms you can go to.

I feel the care my father had in this care home was exceptional. From the first day of arrival to the day of his passing. All staff, including ancillary staff, were fantastic. The home itself was kept clean and warm, my dad's room was very comfortable. He had everything he needed. Activities in the home are second to none, though my dad did not participate in many, of the ones he did, he had a great time. He enjoyed the food and never complained about it. The festivities over Christmas and New Year’s period were brilliant. Staff in the home are very attentive, especially during Dad's end-of-life care. He was treated with dignity and compassion.

We were kept well informed at all times of how he was doing, and when we visited during this time, we were well looked after.

Despite a couple of issues arising my family has had nothing but positive feelings regarding our mother's care. In the case of the aforementioned issues neither of which was the fault of the staff we were informed by phone immediately, and were reassured that adequate steps had already been taken to address these. The staff is collectively excellent although we have been impressed with the particularly touching attention shown by certain individuals which has been heartening to see and is very encouraging. When the media places so much focus on "Horror Stories" about poor standards in care homes I am pleased to be telling people the opposite about Woodside.

My mum suffers from Alzheimer's and has been a resident at Woodside for over a year. In my experience, the care home has gone from strength to strength. I can't really believe how well Mum is looking compared to the way she was last year. She has been well cared for from day 1 but the recent introduction of a sensory room and games room and an increased focus on person-centred and innovative activities is improving her mood and wellbeing.
This fresh approach is making a difference. It's great to see and if Mum is happy, I'm happy!
I know the staff love Mum and she loves them. Only yesterday she told me she felt on top of the world!

I can't thank everyone enough for all their hard work, care and compassion.

Our mum moved into Woodside Care Home a few weeks ago. We are delighted with the care she has received and the support given to us as a family. Mum's room is very comfortable and homely and she is happy, is eating well and is receiving excellent care.

From our first contact with the staff, they have been helpful, informative and caring. All staff members, from managers, carers, domestic and catering staff are friendly, welcoming and cheerful anytime any of our family have been at Woodside. My mum demonstrates a real affection for staff who are very attentive to her personal and social needs. This has been so reassuring for us all. We can't thank everyone enough.

My mum has been very well looked after at Woodside Care Home for the past three years. All of her needs are taken care of but all the leisure, well-being and activities provided by the staff provide something that she would never have been able to benefit from in her own home. Great for her mental health as well as her physical well-being. I am very grateful for the care that is offered, thanks.

I find this home to be a safe and caring environment for my aunt. Staff are considerate, approachable and friendly. The furniture and fittings need updating but this does not detract from the warm, welcoming atmosphere. A variety of activities are available and residents are encouraged to participate. I always feel I can share any concerns with the staff.

My mum has settled in from the first day in Woodside Care Home, there were a few hiccups along the way but other than that she is good. The bedroom toilet could do with storage and a TV that actually has a remote and works but other than that the lounge is very big and they have activities for the residents to join in if they want to. They are looked after and most importantly are safe and always have staff 24/7 that helps to know should anything happen I will always be phoned.

Overall I have found the care home to be a generally comfortable place for my parent to be in. The shared areas are spacious and although could do with a bit of a spruce up are clean, bright and reasonably well maintained. Residents' bedrooms are a bit on the small side considering some of the equipment that needs to be used in them resulting in awkwardness for the residents on occasion. Improvements could be made in actioning queries /requests from families and residents in a timely manner. Sometimes the delay can be a little frustrating, having to make repeat requests but this could be sorted by employing more full-time staff instead of agency workers. Overall the home is reasonably comfortable and safe which are the main priorities for me.

Woodside Care Home have given me and my family a great sense of relief since Mum was admitted. Staff are approachable and always go out of their way to support residents and their families. Mum's improvement has been incredible. She is happy and is not as anxious or lonely as she was at home. We owe Woodside huge gratitude.

My dad is a resident of Woodside Care Home. He is so happy there. The staff are kind and caring. His dementia is quite bad and he does not eat that well. But they ensure that he eats what he does like. He is always clean and his room is always tidy. I have peace of mind knowing he is well cared for by the lovely friendly staff.
