The staff are excellent and can't do enough for you. It is very clean, with excellent menu choices. Always a friendly atmosphere.

I know my Mum is so well looked after and best for her needs thank you so much.

We are so happy with Abercorn House, and the staff go above and beyond with the residents. The staff always seem happy at work, and we've never noticed any agency staff there, which we feel is a good sign. We are so pleased that we chose Abercorn. Dad seems happy too.

The reason I chose Abercorn House Care Home was the size and the amount of residents in the home. It's not too busy which suits my mother's needs. The staff are very friendly, and approachable and put my mum at ease. My mother enjoys the company of the staff, the entertainment and activities suit her needs as she is a sociable person. Very pleased with my decision for my mother to live here.

The level of care given to Mum is second to none. The staff are a tour de force when it comes to looking after their residents. Communication is excellent. No matter when I go, Mum looks well-dressed and cared for. She is treated with love and respect.

There are plenty of options on mealtime menus for all tastes.

Very pleased with the care my mum receives in Abercorn House Care Home. The carers are professional, conscientious and caring, they respond positively to all enquiries made. All staff are excellent. The sensory room is a great idea, new kitchen, wall painting, new furnishings. Work in progress. The only concern is that the car park be upgraded.

A lovely place for Dad to reside. The staff are friendly and professional, always available and helpful. There is a really vibrant and active atmosphere around the place, mainly driven by the wonderful activities staff. The residents are well looked after in care and entertainment. The rooms are spacious and kept clean. Overall we are very satisfied with Dad's care and he has improved immensely since he has been here.

The care manager is approachable and also very accommodating with any requests we have made. Five stars from me.

The care has declined since COVID and is taking a long time to recover. My mum never gets a visit from the home manager which she did in the past. The cleanliness of her room needs to be improved, the bed is not made properly, tea cups, dinner dishes are left for hours. Dirty pads lying on the toilet floor, the carpet was not hoovered and the curtains were opened unevenly. Her mobility is decreasing and I feel she’s just being left on her own and not given enough physio. She has fallen a few times and lay on the floor for too long and I don’t feel staff take it seriously enough. My mum needs a female career to help with hygiene etc. An instant two weeks ago when my mum didn’t get a bath as there wasn’t enough female staff. That needs managed better and my mum also doesn’t need to be told by the nurse that her daughter reported them for not bathing her. There are a few carers who are excellent and my mum speaks very highly of them but with the size of the home and volume of staff they should all be excellent.

My mum has been in Abercorn House nursing home for five years. She is looked after very well, the staff are good. We have some issues just now but are getting sorted out. Overall it’s a nice friendly, clean home.

My mother-in-law has been treated so well as an individual by all the care staff and management. My interaction with the team there is very positive and I've found everyone to be helpful and cheerful regardless of anything going on in the wider environment, whether it be Covid or having to deal with staff shortages. None of this ever impinges on my family member. In recent times she's been able to get out on excursions and one of the staff took her out shopping and for lunch - what a difference that made to her. The office team are amazing, everyone I've been in contact with couldn't be nicer or more helpful. We live over 400 miles away but each time we visit it's as if we're there every week as the welcome we get is so warm. My mother-in-law is very happy and that's all that matters for us.

My husband has only been in Abercorn House for a few weeks, but I have to say, we as a family, are extremely happy with his care, also the activities provided. I also appreciate the FaceBook page for families as it lets me see what he has been doing.

My husband spent 16 months in Abercorn House Care Home and I have nothing but praise for the manager and staff for their dedication and commitment. Nothing was ever a bother and they cared for my husband with kindness and patience and always treated him with respect. I was also made welcome by cheerful and friendly staff and was able to communicate easily with the home. I’m so glad I chose Abercorn.

My dad has positively thrived since entering Abercorn House Care Home last year. He is very happy at the home and that means his family are happy. The home is spotlessly clean and comfortable. The care and nursing staff are lovely and Dad gets on well with them. If I contact the home by phone or email with any queries, or to raise any issues regarding Dads care, I always get a friendly and speedy response. The few issues that I did have during the period while Dad was settling in and adjusting to his new home were resolved very quickly. Overall, I can’t fault the level of care provided.

The staff have been excellent with my father in the light of COVID keeping me updated on his health and needs.

Any time I have been there it seems to be well run and is clean and tidy. I have good relations with the staff who are always happy to talk about my Mum and what's happening with her. I would recommend it.

My aunt is well cared for, her room is lovely and the staff are most helpful.

My gran has been in Abercorn House for 2 1/2 years now and this was undoubtedly the best decision. The staff have been amazing and supportive to gran and the family. The home always puts my gran's needs and care first. My gran tells me how lovely the staff are and she enjoys the food! She loves to participate in all activities and I love to see photo's of her laughing and smiling. I can only thank the home for keeping gran safe and her spirits up during the pandemic. Keep up the amazing job!
