These are the most caring, friendly and trustworthy people I have come across. Do lots of activities with the residents and communication is excellent. They have done a wonderful job recently, especially during this covid-19 pandemic. I cannot commend them enough.

My aunt has been a resident in Abercorn House for five years. I visit once or twice a week. I have always found the staff friendly, helpful and nothing is too much trouble. My aunt and other residents are all treated with respect at all times. The facilities are very good, modern, clean and safe.
The staff do a lot of activities with the residents which always brings a smile to everyone's faces.

The management make me feel included, are always available and communicate well, verbally and through newsletters.

My mother has been a resident of Abercorn for almost 2 years and from day one we, as a very close-knit family, have been very very happy with the manager and all his staff. They go above and beyond for everyone they care for, it makes us feel that our lovely mum is getting the best care and attention that she could possibly have and for that, we are all extremely grateful. Keep up the good work.

P.S. when can we get back into see our mum, it's killing us.

Reply from Fae Doherty, Senior Marketing Officer at Abercorn House Care Home

Thank you for your kind words about our home and team, it really is lovely to hear. Do speak to the manager about seeing mum as many of our homes now have new measures in place to facilitate social distancing visits. I will be sure to pass this onto him. Best wishes.

My dad was in Abercorn for respite and the staff are fantastic and we can't thank them enough for all that they did for us. Every one of them from management to the carers were amazing and they go above and beyond for their residents. They got my dad back on his feet and I honestly don't know what we would have done without them. I would just want to thank them all for everything they did for us. Thank you.

My dad was happy and very comfortable in Abercorn House. The staff were friendly, attentive and very approachable. The home was clean with comfortable chairs and always nice and warm.
My only negative was the laundry side. My dad's clothes would go missing and we never could find his socks.
My dad actually put weight on while at Abercorn house, showing he was fed well.

I would recommend this home to family and friends as I feel the care given was excellent.

My father had a stroke 9 years ago and is paralysed and unable to speak.

In recent years with new management, the home is improving and hopefully will continue this way.

There has been a dramatic improvement in both the care of mum and the general ambience of the home, makes it a pleasurable experience to visit.
The care assistants are friendly and helpful.
I am satisfied that mum is receiving a good level of care.

All of the above is a result of good new management and a serious level of capital investment.

I would like to thank all staff in Abercorn for their support while my mum was there and how safe a welcome they made her. She was only there a week because I was waiting on somewhere near home, such a shame it was to far for us to travel. The manager and nurse were so nice and to be honest it’s the happiest I have ever seen my mum. So sad to leave. I would strongly recommend this place, very homely.

Our mother was taken into Abercorn House Care Home in February this year until she sadly passed away in June. The management and staff were very caring and helpful in making our mother's final days comfortable.
They provided her with everything she needed even if it was just a chat.

Overall a great place.

All our family were pleased with the care my brother-in-law received in this nursing home. All the staff were friendly but professional and went the extra mile to make my brother's stay here as comfortable as possible. The nursing care he received was given with respect leaving him with his dignity at trying times.

My daughter who has Downes Syndrome plus the start of dementia and arthritis in her hip.

She has been in Abercorn House for several weeks and I have visited her every day until 6pm to help the staff as my daughter has speaking problems. I have observed them handling her, attending to her personal hygiene and also importantly their compassion towards her have been of the highest standard. They attend to her, speak to her and also their compassion towards her has been of the highest standard. They attend to her, speak to her and also their kindness to me cups of tea a five-star hotel couldn't give better care. My best wishes to all.-
