Helping others has always been at the heart of who I am. Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to work in both care and early education, two areas that have shaped my understanding of how important connection, compassion, and meaningful engagement are in people’s lives.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education as well as an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, giving me both the knowledge and practical skills to support people in a compassionate, person-centred way. My experience in care has taught me the value of patience, empathy, and truly listening to others, while my background in education and early years has helped me develop creativity, organisation, and a passion for learning through activities.
Bringing these experiences together in my role as an Activity Coordinator allows me to create engaging, person-centred activities that support wellbeing, spark joy, and encourage social connection.
For me, activities are not about filling time: they are about creating positive, joyful experiences that make people feel valued, stimulate the mind, and bring people together. I am passionate about my role and strive to create an environment where every resident feels included, respected, and able to enjoy meaningful, purposeful moments each day.
Courtney, who has been our dedicated cook for the past five years, has shown her hard work, creativity, and passion shine through in everything she prepares, and she continues to make a positive impact on our team and everyone she serves.
