Staff are obliging and go out of their way to facilitate requests. Family member treated with dignity and respect. Not able to review facilities, food and drink or activities as not in the home due to COVID. Food and drink appears to be varied.

My father has only been a resident of Ashlea for about 5/6 weeks. The staff have been fantastic in keeping us informed on how my father is doing during lockdown. We have visited twice for a window visit and he looked very settled and happy with the nursing staff that came in during the visit. Managed
to get in for an inside visit last week and the staff were great doing the LFT and letting me in for a visit. During the visit my dad looked well looked after in himself and happy with his room. Spoke to staff while there about my dad and nothing seemed too much trouble for them to help my dad feel at home.

Since my husband became a resident in Ashlea Court in January 2020, I quickly became aware of the high level of compassionate and professional care extended to residents (and by extension to family). When deemed necessary, medical help is immediately on hand via a nurse and the local surgery. Staff
are always amenable to answering phone calls from me, offering support and encouragement to me in the absence of internal visiting. (Covid-19.) Under excellent management, the staff have shown exceptional dedication in their care, enabling a family atmosphere to prevail. Activities continue, engaging and entertaining their 'family'. Thank you.

My Father has been a resident in Ashlea Court Care Home in Ashgill near Larkhall for nearly 2 years. Our family is very happy with the care he is receiving. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They are very good at communicating with us particularly during this time of us being unable to make normal
visits. They keep us up to date on any changes to health and wellbeing situations. We would highly recommend this care home if you are looking for a homely and friendly place for your loved ones to live in their older years.

The care my mom has received since she came in the home has been excellent. The staff and management have always kept me informed on mom's wellbeing. Before covid, many times I arrived at the home unannounced. I found my mom to be clean at all times and she was always well-nourished and hydrated. There
was always plenty of activities going on and a good atmosphere going on. The bedroom was always clean and tidy. The staff are caring and attentive to the residents and provide reassurance to people with dementia. The home is well run and I would recommend it to anyone.

Over the years I have built up a sense of trust with the staff and management of this care home, and I am happy to reinforce that trust in a positive manner in this review. My family and I greatly appreciate not only the care our relative receives but also the regular contact regarding health and treatment
etc. All this from an interested and dedicated staff who continue to show remarkable resourcefulness in these unprecedented times. Thank you!

Prior to March 2020, I visited daily for years since then due to Covid-19, I have not visited. Aged 88, I am hopeful to be vaccinated within the next three to four weeks and if conditions allowed, I would visit again. Since March my daughter has been in daily contact by telephone with your staff who
have been extremely helpful in advising my wife's condition which she relays to me, which is most reassuring.

We are very happy knowing that the staff are mindful of our situation and contact us on a regular basis regarding welfare and health issues. This last year has been difficult for us and no doubt the staff, but knowing that my father is safe and well taken care of by great staff, eases the worry a little.

I am so happy we chose Ashlea Court Care Home for respite for our beloved mother. Was only supposed to be there for one month and ended up going for eight months due to Covid. She became part of the family and was extremely happy. Management, carers, domestic staff, chef etc took amazing care of our
mam. Her room was always spotless as so was she and loved getting pampered by the truly amazing team.

She has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and nursing support to older people, and is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader. Her passion is to provide an outstanding service for those we support in a warm and pleasant environment.
