Dad was shown real care and compassion - particularly towards the end of his life. He was treated professionally, with dignity, and received more person-centred care than he ever did in his admissions to hospitals. As his next of kin I was kept informed and made to feel welcome when I visited - friendly staff - all of the cleaners, care and laundry, most smile and say hello.

What a difference a year makes!! My precious Wee Nan has been a resident here for 8 years 7 months. Last year I wrote a review and I was less than satisfied with this service, but as I said in my opening line.....what a difference a year makes.
New manager with his amazing staff has turned this...
What a difference a year makes!! My precious Wee Nan has been a resident here for 8 years 7 months. Last year I wrote a review and I was less than satisfied with this service, but as I said in my opening line.....what a difference a year makes. New manager with his amazing staff has turned this place around.....Wee Nan is very well cared for. This is her home and it is friendly, welcoming and happy with amazing care and love and understanding shown to her. Any issues that arise are dealt with and resolved promptly and access to the nurse in charge of the unit or the home manager is easy and encouraged.
I can rest easier knowing my precious Wee Nan is safe, cared for and loved in her home.

My father is supported by a friendly and professional team at Whitehalls. He is treated as an individual with dignity and respect. We as a family are kept fully informed by staff regarding my father's care needs. Would recommend this care home to friends and family.

My husband has been a resident in Whitehills Nursing home since April 2015. Due to the recent change in management, there has been a period of unsettlement with established carers leaving and new carers coming in. I can only speak from my personal point of view when I say that I believe the standard of care my husband receives is excellent. The home is being brought up to an ongoing high standard in all areas and the staff are friendly and helpful. The only criticism I would have is the lack of permanent nursing staff at this time ... However, we have been assured that this has been addressed, as there is an acute shortage of nurses across the NHS due to privatisation. It is understandable that it is difficult to recruit nursing staff for care homes, we have to be patient in the wait for the posts to be filled. In the mean time, the general day to day care is improving and I am very happy for my husband to be cared for here.
