My Mum sadly passed away in February of this year. She was a resident in Fullarton from December 2017. The care Mum received was wonderful and I speak for our whole family. She was treated with dignity and respect by all staff members and was always immaculate. Her room was fresh and clean at all times. The staff cared for the whole family and we were kept informed at all times about Mum.
It is always a difficult time when a loved one has to leave their home to go into a Care Home but Mum settled, thanks to the loving care of the staff in Fullarton.

Thank you all so much.

This is a great home to live in. We have plenty to keep us busy and with the rabbits and the garden, it is really like a 'home from home'. We now have our own sweet shop, which I help serve in. The staff are lovely. I am happy here.

My relative was not happy at all at being put into residential care.

The staff have been excellent at helping him to settle. I can say at long last he seems to have accepted the situation. He is a lot happier now thanks to staff taking time to include and encourage him.

Since our first visit to Fullarton Care Home, it has lived up to all our expectations. We have been happy with the care our Mum has received. We have found the staff to be so helpful and considerate. Also, we have found the facilities are occasionally high standard. Residents have a great range of activities on offer if they wish to take part.

My sister and I visited this home along with a number of others in our immediate locality. On entering the large entrance hallway we were immediately struck by the homely ambience of the place. It was more like of a hotel and a breath of spring compared to some of the other homes that we had visited. The residents' rooms, the showers/bathrooms, the corridors, the public lounge and dining room were all well decorated and well furnished. The staff seemed pleasant, professional and caring. Alas, they had no vacancies at that time.
Happily a week or so later we were contacted to say that a room had become available.
On the day of mum's admission, she was treated like a "royal" guest with a procession of staff coming into her room introducing themselves and explaining their function. All the staff did appear to be kind and caring people.

It is only a few weeks but mum has settled in well and is enjoying the company, entertainment, and nice food all provided by caring staff.

Fullarton has fully lived up to our hopes of being a first class care home for our mother. Every member of staff has been wonderful and make great efforts to ensure Mum is able to socialise to the best of her ability. They are professional, caring and considerate. My brother and I visit regularly and are always made welcome and have always found staff willing to talk to us about Mum. Fullarton conducts regular reviews involving Mum and either my brother or me. We are very happy with the care she is getting.

My mother was admitted at short notice due to her condition worsening at home. At first I was very anxious about mum going into care, however I need not have worried. The staff were fantastic at settling mum into a new environment and they made me feel part of the team, which was so important to me. I can't fault the care and it is reassuring to find such caring staff. I have no concerns and no complaints.

My mother has been admitted recently in the last four weeks to Fullarton. We are delighted with the way that she has come on. She has started eating so much better and socialising also. The staff are so caring and friendly. Mum has already been on two outings which we are delighted about. The staff deserve all the praise they can get. Well done!

My friend has been a resident of this home for the past two years. The staff are so caring and compassionate to the residents. No job is ever a bother to them. Sadly my friend no longer recognises me and can be quite restless at times. However, the staff know exactly how to manage him and they look after him so well. It is worrying at times when you have to consider a loved one or a friend going into care, however, I have no hesitation in recommending Fullarton for the great care that they give. Thank you.

There has been an improved change at this care home since 'The Kind Care Company' took over, but some things still need to be improved. I think that there should be ongoing training for staff. Some carers are excellent, whereas others don't seem to be bothered to be understanding or patient. Also, kitchen areas could be cleaner.

There is a complete disregard of care and compassion. I never see any interaction with the residents. My Mum is often in her room, sitting alone, no TV on. My Mum is very sociable and has dementia and with that does not fully understand the impact of isolation on her wellbeing. I was told it was her choice!!!! My Mum does not have the capacity to understand the impact of that choice.
Isolation and loneliness were two of the main reasons we wanted my Mum to be in a homely, caring and friendly environment where she could be with people and feel safe, secure and welcome.
Personal items get lost, clothes and bags belonging to other people in my Mum’s room. Medication administered in full view of visitors, where is the dignity in that.
When we visit we do not feel welcome.

I would love to know where the residents' kitchen is, we could maybe have a cup of tea with Mum.

Everything is OK usually.

The only thing I do not agree with is not using antiseptic disinfectant spray or bleach or spray to make the rooms smell fresh.

Always have a lovely experience when I visit.
Most staff are very professional in their care, treating residents like they would treat their own family.
Plenty of activities led by a good team also enjoyed.
Cleanliness of room and bathroom very good.
Medicine also sorted.
Now less agency staff.

Would love to see staff do less paperwork and take folks out for walks.
