Lunan Court Care Home

My mum is a resident at Lunan Court and the staff are amazing. Mum has dementia and the staff treat her with care and compassion.

Management and all staff very approachable and helpful. I am kept informed of anything with regard to my mother's care. All in all, I have no concerns with the care she is receiving.

Very friendly, happy atmosphere. Patients well cared for.

My mother was here from August 2018 until her death in March 2019. We felt that all the staff were truly caring and kind and we were always warmly welcomed when we came to visit. We always enjoyed the musical afternoons and the Sunday services as did my mother. She particularly remembered her trips to the museum. What I would like to emphasise most is the loving and kind care she received from every member of staff.

Mother was very well looked after at Lunan Court during the last fourteen months of her life. She had a very nice room into which she brought her own reclining chair, large TV and several pictures and ornaments from home. The staff - carers and nurses - were very attentive and kind and the food was of a high standard. Staff were all very approachable. The public areas - lounge and dining - had recently been decorated, new furniture installed which was arranged in small groups to provide a more intimate atmosphere and allowing visitors some privacy with their relatives.

My dad was in Lunan Court for a year before he passed away in December 2018. The care that my dad received from the staff was excellent he was treated with dignity at all times. The support we received from the staff during the difficult times was excellent. I would most likely recommend Lunan Court.

I have found the staff to be very friendly towards my family and myself and certainly very caring towards my husband.

Very approachable staff who try their very best to care for mum. There is a good variety of menus available. Entertainment from a great range of musical tastes. Kindness and care are the order of the day.

This is a very lovely home. The staff are very caring and friendly and do everything they can to make sure both residents and visitors are looked after.

My husband has only been in Lunan Court for 6 weeks but in that short time, the management and staff, have given me great comfort as our lives have been turned upside down and having no family of our own, we have had to rely on my niece for help. My husband and I have been married for 58 years, so this upset me deeply but I am quite happy at the end of each day, he is getting all the TLC in the world.

As there was a large exchange of staff this year, it has sometimes been difficult to see so many new staff who were needing training. The management staff have been with the care home for some years and is very capable and professional at all times. My mum has been in this home for 7 years and mostly I have been very happy with the care. Some of the new ones are caring and attentive and I'm sure they will be trained up to a very high standard.

Staff and management provide an excellent service and treated my mum very well during her stay at the home.

Found accommodation very clean. Meal very good. Excellent entertainment. Felt that a little explanation on either partner/relatives condition should maybe help understand what to expect in the future. My brother-in-law had no knowledge what dementia is. Maybe some books could have helped him understand.

The activities and events are appropriate and engage the residents. Lunan Court provides the care I am very happy with, for my parents.

The care and attention my mother received in the short time she was in the home (6 days) was excellent. Friendly staff. I wish she was there long before she died to get the benefit of the facilities.

We moved my mother from another care home provider after she had a fall and broken her hip. The difference was chalk and cheese. Lunan Court Care Home provided a friendly welcoming service from day one. The staff could not have been nicer or more caring with the residents. There are activities for residents as well as occasional events that involve both residents and relatives. Residents are always addressed with their names and treated with care and respect.

Very well satisfied with being looked after, kept clean and well fed. Thanks to everyone at Lunan Court.

Lunan Court is a well-run care home with a good atmosphere and friendly staff. My late mother was well cared for here for 5 and a half years, during which time she was able to enjoy her final years in spite of her illness. I would have no hesitation in recommending this care home to others.
