My dad was in Lunan Court for a year before he passed away in December 2018. The care that my dad received from the staff was excellent he was treated with dignity at all times. The support we received from the staff during the difficult times was excellent. I would most likely recommend Lunan Court.

My husband has only been in Lunan Court for 6 weeks but in that short time, the management and staff, have given me great comfort as our lives have been turned upside down and having no family of our own, we have had to rely on my niece for help. My husband and I have been married for 58 years, so this
upset me deeply but I am quite happy at the end of each day, he is getting all the TLC in the world.

As there was a large exchange of staff this year, it has sometimes been difficult to see so many new staff who were needing training. The management staff have been with the care home for some years and is very capable and professional at all times. My mum has been in this home for 7 years and mostly
I have been very happy with the care. Some of the new ones are caring and attentive and I'm sure they will be trained up to a very high standard.

Found accommodation very clean. Meal very good. Excellent entertainment. Felt that a little explanation on either partner/relatives condition should maybe help understand what to expect in the future. My brother-in-law had no knowledge what dementia is. Maybe some books could have helped him understand.

Thank you for your review; we value all feedback as this helps us to improve our service where required. At HC-One we encourage relatives to communicate with our staff in an open and transparent way and we are more than happy to offer support where we can to ensure our Residents receive the best and kindest care available. At Lunan Court we maintain an open door policy to ensure staff, family, Residents and relatives feel able to communicate any concerns they may have. Relatives are invited to engage in the care planning procedure offering input on a monthly basis as a minimum. This is followed up by a six weekly review where the full care package is reviewed with relatives, care managers and the nursing team. We also run monthly Managers surgeries and relatives meetings where any concerns can be discussed. Within the Home we have a relative’s communication board which provides information from the NHS regarding dementia care and several information leaflets that may also be beneficial to our Residents and visitors.

My parents are residents in Lunan Court Care Home. I find the staff to be very caring, helpful and kind. I feel confident with the care provided and I am kept informed of any issues regularly. The communication between the home and families is very good.
The activities and events are appropriate and
engage the residents. Lunan Court provides the care I am very happy with, for my parents.

My mum went to Lunan Court ten years ago, over that time she had deteriorated in health passing away last month.
I have often been told of some care homes not being the best but I can assure you I could find no faults with Lunan Court.
The building and interior are both kept to a high standard. The
food was always fresh and plentiful.
The staff - no words describe how well they looked after my mum and I am ever so grateful for that.
It's a well-managed home with high-quality staff who care about the residents every minute.

We moved my mother from another care home provider after she had a fall and broken her hip. The difference was chalk and cheese. Lunan Court Care Home provided a friendly welcoming service from day one. The staff could not have been nicer or more caring with the residents. There are activities for residents
as well as occasional events that involve both residents and relatives. Residents are always addressed with their names and treated with care and respect.

Lunan Court is a well-run care home with a good atmosphere and friendly staff. My late mother was well cared for here for 5 and a half years, during which time she was able to enjoy her final years in spite of her illness. I would have no hesitation in recommending this care home to others.

My wife was a resident at Lunan Court for nearly 4 years, sadly she passed away last year. During her stay I began to see the staff at Lunan Court like family. As such, I started to volunteer to help out any way I could and since my wife passed I continue to help out.
The main reason for continuing
to volunteer is the staff are totally wonderful and supportive people who have helped me a great deal with the worst period of my life.
