Overall Experience

This is a first class care home in every respect. My dear mother has had superb care in this wonderful home for nearly 9 years. I have been able to visit her freely and enjoy the occasional meal with her in a well-appointed private dining room. The setting of this care home in the Angus Hills is idyllic and it would be hard to find more helpful and friendly staff. I enjoy visiting South Grange and always feel extremely welcome and at home. I could not have found a better care home for my dear mother. South Grange is absolutely first class on all parts!

A very welcoming and homely care home. Management are very approachable and very prompt in resolving any issues we had as a family. They seem a great team and all work together. The only problem we had as a family was the room not having any shower facilities which if they did have, would make showering residents so much easier.

We feel lucky that our relative was in South Grange, where the wonderful staff did all they could do, for her and us.
The care she received was a comfort to us. Ultimately, nobody wants to place a dear relative in a nursing home. But South Grange made us relax somewhat about having to.
We had every impression that our relative was their priority and friend.
Everything that could be done, was done by a dedicated and loving team of staff. I would and have recommended it to others, in fact, I'd go there myself as a resident if I needed care.
A fabulous home run by dedicated, beautiful and caring staff.

They made everything easier than it might have been and we are proud to tell everyone exactly where she was living.

My father has lived in South Grange for the past eighteen months. He was slow to settle in after living independently. He is 95 years old and is mentally very astute. The care staff have always been very caring and supportive to all his needs. They encourage him to participate in the many activities on offer. His favourite is carpet bowls which is a daily event. My father speaks highly of the menu and the variety on offer. He also enjoys being resident of the day and being spoiled. The whole care team offer everything he requires.

Hi, My name is Adegbite Olanrewaju (Larry), and I am Head of Unit. I have been with South Grange care home, Barchester Healthcare limited since October 2021. I have a special interest in the care of the Elderly.

I trained to become a registered general nurse in Nigeria over 10 years ago and went further to bag my Bachelors degree in nursing in one of Nigeria’s renowned universities. The quest to diversify and advance in academic and professional knowledge prompted the purse of a Post graduate diploma and a Masters degree in Social work and I now have those qualifications to my credit.

As a nurse, I have worked in so many specialties, majorly the Accident and Emergency setting. I have the American Heart association certification for Basic life support (2013, 2015) and Advanced cardiac life support (2015).

As an academic, I lectured in the university setting as a junior lecturer, published/ co-published over 15 academic papers in reputable journals locally and internationally and very visible on the Google Scholar platform. Some of these publications are on the care, needs, and challenges facing the aged population.

My passion for the wellbeing of the aged population pivoted my migration the United Kingdom to work in an organized residential and care home for the elderly and I have enrolled for a second Master’s degree in Dementia Studies at the University of Hull with the view to further sharpen the necessary skills needed to support the elderly.
