Mother has only recently been placed, but initial impressions are good. Rooms are very clean and comfortable, staff are very friendly and caring, and Mother seems happy and content.

After 16 weeks in the hospital, my brother was transferred to Oakleaves Care Centre. From the moment he arrived there, the care he has received has been exceptional. The staff are so helpful, always smiling and each and everyone shows great kindness to the residents. My brother and myself are very pleased
our brother was placed here, and we know he is in a very safe environment and all his needs are provided for. This is an excellent home.

It was extremely difficult for us as a family when Mum took dementia, and we cared for her for four years at home until we could no longer do so. It was a great comfort to us that Mum came to Oakleaves, close to where we all live and with easy access to visit her. They care for her and ensure we are
informed of any changes in her health. They have a pet name for Mum and are very fond of Mum. The staff know all of us by name, and we are very pleased with the care and respect they give Mum. I would recommend Oakleaves to anyone who needs to use it.

My brother had a head injury and has been a resident in Oakleaves for the last year and a half. He has had some bad episodes, which are connected to his condition. I was worried that the home may not want him to stay, but the staff were great in dealing with his condition. He is so well settled now
that I actually find it hard to get him out for a few hours as he feels safer in Oakleaves. The staff know him well now, and I know he is well looked after and safe.

My daddy has been in Oakleaves for approx five months. From his first day, we felt they made him welcome. They are so respectful and sensitive to his needs. He has been encouraged to participate in the many activities planned there, and the staff support him to join in when he wanted to. The staff have
also been very informative to family members and have listened to concerns or information given to help them understand Daddy and his personality. We are very happy with the care he is receiving.

My daddy has been in Oakleaves for nearly one year. Staff are very kind to my daddy. As long as I give notice, even short, I can visit him. Plenty of activities. - singing etc - he loves singing. From my experience, I feel my daddy is provided with dignity. I always take him out, and there are no problems
with this, and when I take him back, I know that my daddy is happy - there are no signs from him otherwise. I am completely happy with his care at this time.

Find staff extremely helpful and considerate. Always attentive to residents' physical and emotional needs. Communication with family has been very good when discussing resident's needs or incidents which may occur, open and honest. Oakleaves is very clean and staff make it as homely as possible.

Staff are friendly to both visitors and residents, although hard-pressed at times. It would be helpful if all displayed a name badge at all times. Food appears satisfactory, although too large portions are served. No comments on value for money - do not understand top-up fees; it would be helpful if
the home provided a breakdown of expenditure.
