Offering 51 spacious en-suite rooms with personal showers, a wide range of facilities and 24-hour expert care. My parents are now both enjoying the excellent care provided by Stowford House.
My father is recovering from an operation and is very frail. All the staff treat him gently, with a smile and respect.
My mother can no longer be left at home alone and she has blossomed since her arrival at Stowford,
happily joining in most of the activities. She is making friendships and loves the tasty food.
My heartfelt thanks go to all the staff, for whom nothing is too much trouble.

From the time I enter Stowford House I feel welcomed and at home. The staff are very friendly, professional and helpful. Working with a smile on their face and making Mum feel truly special. We are very happy with Mum being in Stowford House, where she is well cared for and provided with entertainment
which she enjoys, especially singing.
The food is very healthy, with the chef and his staff doing their utmost to provide dishes which the residents enjoy. I am particularly impressed with the home made gel sweets which are given to the residents during the extreme heat, which is good for hyrdration. Mum loves the cookies and cakes, she's always had a sweet tooth.
The special events are well advertised and always a pleasure to attend.
What more can I say, the manager and her staff are patient and amazing which gives Mum a relaxing home to live in.

My Mum stayed at Stowford House for a respite break in July '25. She was kept safe and comfortable during her stay, which happened at a time of hot weather which must have been challenging for everyone in the home, and her time was enriched by the opportunity to go out on a trip with other residents.
The manager and deputy-manager were both very approachable, and worked quickly to resolve any questions I had as they arose. The staff were lovely, incredibly kind and caring, and It felt like they cared about Mum and her experience, even though she was only with there for a short time. Another strength was the activities programme, which offered lots of opportunities for people to get involved in wellbeing activities. I would have liked to see a bit more time and attention given to Mum's food and her skin care, where she has some challenging specific issues, but overall I felt this was a good respite break, would use again, and I was very touched by the kindness and atmosphere of the home

Both my parents became residents at Stowford House at the beginning of June.
I can't speak highly enough of the team of staff working there.
It was a difficult transition period for both my parents and myself, the communication and reassurance from the home has helped immensely and my parents are
settling into their new stage of life.
It is great to have the weekly activities emailed to me, many of which my parents are participating in and enjoying. I enjoy reading the monthly newsletter updates too!
I feel their needs are being met as much as possible.
I am very grateful to all the staff involved.

After longing to go on holiday Stowford House made this possible for me to put my mum in to respite. From the moment I enquired everything was dealt with in a professional manner, and with ease.
Meeting my mum and I at home as an introduction to make my mother feel comfortable, even with the difficulty
of mum having dementia.
All the staff at Stowford House made Mum feel so welcome and looked after, she did have her bad days when my daughter visited, but she was contacted by the staff and reassured with texts and photos.
Couldn't recommend this care home enough, the staff are all super friendly and kind, and the home is to a high standard of cleanliness.

Mum is well looked after and is content. The staff are friendly and helpful. from the care staff through to the Admin team,
Mun enjoys the food from our experience which is somewhat tailored due to her condition.
The rooms are clean and well-maintained.

Our aunt became a resident in February 2025. She has suffered a fall at home and spent time in hospital. She was unable to look after herself and was reluctantly persuaded to take a trial at Stowfield House. It was obvious that the care provided suited her and her needs. We are delighted with her progress
since she came into care. Thank you all for your help.

My mother has been in Stowford for 18 months and really enjoys it, she loves the activities and enjoys the lovely food. All the staff are very nice and always ready to help her, whatever she needs is not ever a problem. Most of all she enjoys the company of the other residents and having a good chat
with them over dinner.

I believe my mother is in a very welcoming and supportive care home. I believe she is be looked after medically, physically and mentally in a very professional setting.
The staff are very welcoming and very helpful.
If I have one thing that is disappointing it is the cleaning of my mother's room
which could be better. Also my mother needs a straw in order to drink her tea and other drinks, because of the collar she wears. Unfortunately very often she isn't given one.

My mother has been resident in Stowford House since February 2023. It is an extremely friendly home and she is very happy there. All residents are treated with respect and they are persuaded to join in the varied activities wherever possible. Christmas 2024 has been a particular highlight with carol
services, a Christmas party and then, in the new year, a pantomime which have been much enjoyed.

Clean, well run with pleasant staff who are willing to listen to any request. Food good but needs to be served hotter and more in keeping with timetable. Activities are varied and well motivated. The exercise class given by the outside person is longer and with more interaction with the residents than
the Scottish video exercises.

There's no question that my father's health has improved considerably during the last 12 months directly due to the level of care provided by the staff at Stowford House. His room is always immaculate and very clean, as is the rest of the building, the carers are always attentive and the quality of
the food is likely better than he has ever eaten. Thank you to all of the team for the fantastic job they're doing.

Both my mum and dad were in Stowford House entering at different times. Previous to Stowford my mum was in another local home but I moved her within 3 months because they left her alone for too long and did not assist her in accessing any activities. It was clear she was very lonely and upset. Not so
the case with Stowford where the improvement in my mum was almost immediate
The care given to both my mum and dad was outstanding and I was kept informed as their conditions deteriorated ultimately leading to them both passing away within the last 3 months. Whilst my dad passed away sooner than expected my mum deteriorated over a longer time. The care she received to ensure she was comfortable in her last days was amazing.
Many things about the home impressed me but the most outstanding is the number of activities and events the home puts on for its residents to ensure that they keep their minds and bodies active - follow them on social media to see for yourself.

The care I have witnessed during the lunchtime period in the home has been outstanding. My dad has now progressed further in the horrible stages of Alzheimer's and needs feeding and soft foods. The staff watch over all the residents with so much care, it is extremely touching! They all show compassion
and I found myself feeling overwhelmed. I just wish other relatives could have witnessed the same as I did.

The staff always treat Dad with respect and spend time with him when in a group of residents or on an individual basis. Their efforts in helping Dad with his exercises and needs are greeted with smiles and conversation (which can be confusing) but they will treat him as a valuable member of the home
community. All staff are much appreciated by me and the rest of the family.

When first entering the home the receptionist is always helpful. The helpers have encouraged Dad to get involved in activities and interact with the other residents. After Mum passed away who was also in the home they sat and helped Dad to understand what had happened. Mum painted a picture just before
she died which the helper framed and it is now hanging in Dad's room. The nurses always keep us informed of any changes. The overall appearance of the home is clean and inviting.

After training to become a registered nurse, I specialised in the care of the elderly, working as a nurse consultant and a modern matron. This involved overseeing a couple of community hospitals, as well as an NHS nursing home.


The nature of the work meant that I subsequently progressed naturally into the management of care homes, all the while ensuring high standards of care.


Residents deserve a high standard of care and support – this is a matter that I am deeply passionate about.


Consequently, I ensure that all policies, procedures, values, and the ethos of the Future Care Group are adhered to. These aspects assist me in cultivating a highly skilled team capable of enhancing the lives of our residents. This enables the team to lead happy and fulfilled lives, all the while retaining the freedom to choose the care and support the residents wish to receive.


I firmly believe in nurturing strong relationships with residents and their relatives. I acknowledge the crucial contribution that these relationships make to the effective operation of a care home. My door is always open should you wish to come and have a conversation.
