In the 18 months, the previous manager was in situ, things did improve but it was a massive task. The new manager is totally unapproachable, keeps her door closed, seems to work very short hours and takes forever to answer emails. When she does eventually respond to them, questions are not answered. Everything is now sliding very quickly back downhill. I despair.
Staff are hard pressed to cope at meal times.

After qualifying as a registered nurse, I specialised in elderly care, working as a nurse consultant and modern matron.
This role involved managing several community hospitals and an NHS nursing home, which naturally led me into the management of care homes. Throughout my career, I have been committed to ensuring high standards of care.
I am deeply passionate about providing residents at Stowford House with the highest quality of care and support. I firmly believe that every resident deserves a tailored approach to their care, allowing them to live happily and meaningfully while maintaining the freedom to choose the support they wish to receive.
Building strong relationships with residents and their families is essential to me, as I recognise the vital role these connections play in the effective operation of a care home. My door is always open for any conversations or concerns, and I am dedicated to fostering an environment where residents feel valued, respected, and truly at home.
