I would recommend Newfield in a heartbeat to anyone in the same situation we found ourselves in 3 years ago. They contradict the highly publicised 'nightmare stories' of residential care that everyone is so keen to talk about these days & I believe in recognising credit where credit is due.

On the occasions we have visited the home we have been greeted in a friendly and kind manner at all times. The home is always spotlessly clean and the staff are friendly and approachable. The lady we visit is extremely happy with her care, food, room, activities and all the staff. She enjoys fish Fridays very much and enjoys reading the information on the notice boards detailing menu and activities on a daily basis. We went to visit in December and the home was decorated beautifully. They were having a Xmas party the following day and our friend was very excited re this event and entertainment. The home was a new build and purpose built, excellent accommodation spacious, light and pleasant furnishing and services, residential and dementia clients. Care is provided pleasantly and efficiently within financial constraints from DSS funding.
