The staff are lovely, they are so kind and caring towards the residents and their relatives. They work so hard and always have a smile on their face. We have attended a Jubilee party today for residents and their families, which has been fabulous and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. The activities coordinator and all the staff did a brilliant job.

Reply from Anita Hopkins, Manager at Agnes and Arthur

Hi Barbara, thank you so much for your lovely review. I will agree our staff work so hard and will continue to do so. The Jubilee party was a very special day for many as this was the first time we could socially get together. Thank you once again. Kindest regards.

My sister is very pleased with all aspects of her care which I can confirm. From my point of view, I think the home is run very professionally and nothing is too much trouble. I phone my sister every day and always get to speak to her. The staff who I have met are very helpful. I am extremely pleased where my sister is.

Reply from Anita Hopkins, Manager at Agnes and Arthur

Whilst going through such difficult times, the staff at Agnes and Arthur made sure the residents took part in all pre-Christmas activities even though relatives were unable to join in. Regular updates and pictures were posted on Facebook to enable us to see our family were having a good time regardless of the pressures Covid has put all under.

Reply from Anita Hopkins, Manager at Agnes and Arthur

My mum was admitted from hospital to Agnes and Arthur when Covid broke out. My mum sadly passed away in December at Agnes and Arthur. The staff were brilliant during these hard times and I knew Mum was looked after and cared for during her stay.

Reply from Philip Morris, Director at Agnes and Arthur

It was a pleasure and a privilege to look after your mum. She was such a gently lovely lady and she is very much missed by all of the team at Agnes.

Friendly and supportive staff. The care for my sister is excellent and her needs are always met. My sister can be stubborn and the staff are always patient with her and understanding her mental health needs as well as physical. Her room is always clean and tidy and the fact there has been no covid cases in the home shows commitment by all even though it is sad to not be able to hug our siblings.

Since mum came to stay at Agnes and Arthur she's settled in nicely. I know she is well looked after by the staff even though sometimes there doesn't seem enough staff working when I visit, most staff are friendly and welcoming, It's clean though the toilets on the ground floor can be a bit unclean. Entertainment and activities have got better and mum has gone out on day trips more. Overall happy for mum to stay here.

A warm and friendly arrival. The home was very clean, warm and inviting for my brother in law. The choice of menu is excellent and all the meals are cooked to a very high standard and presented beautifully. Great care and attention is given to all residents, I am very happy that my brother in law is being so well looked after and cared for.

Very warm welcome - all the staff are lovely to not only my dad but to us too. The facilities are super and we love the squirrel visits. His bedroom is great - very posh! He's loving the food and gets double puddings if there are any spare! It's nice that we get a cuppa and a bite too. A few of us went over the pub the other night and had a fab time. I can't name check any of the staff because they're equally all ace. All the admin we've done has been straight forward so no problems there. All good! I would definitely recommend. Thank you!

They were all fantastic, could not ask for a better bunch of people. The home was well clean, there is nothing bad we can say. Certainly will be using them if we have to haha. Hope not. They were all great. A bunch of friendly people. The home was very big. The only thing we can say is they want a bigger car park.

I come to visit a neighbour and friend.
Staff were very welcoming, was offered a drink, spoke to other residents who seemed to be happy to chat. Some residents were engaged in activities.

It was a beautiful day, so many were in the garden strolling.

My mother was a resident for 3 years. When she first went into a care home, it was run properly and I had no issues, then the management changed and the whole place except for the kitchen and a few carers, it went downhill very quickly. My mum's personal care was none existent and I had to go every day to give this plus senior carers gave 9 tablets in one go. The reason to refuse this many is that my mam has problems swallowing. When I complained, I was given 28 days notice. If you care for your loved ones, don't place them here.
