Agnes and Arthur is a fully refurbished and renovated care home for the elderly. Located in a quiet residential area of Bradeley, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. The home specialises in catering for people diagnosed with dementia.

Safe Harbor acquired the former Eardley House facility and have transformed and improved the home that has the affection of the local community.

There is welcoming accommodation, with a design that makes the most of natural light. There are new kitchen and laundry facilities, a wireless nurse call system, speakers in the corridors and wireless internet throughout.

All residential provision is personalised and the home employs over 50 experienced members of staff to care for residents.

    The home has regular events that everyone is welcome to attend. These can be found on the Facebook page or on the activities calendar in the home.


    When entering the home please sign into to Agnes and Arthur's visitor book and ensure to wear one of the visitor's lanyards available in the reception area.

Parking

They were all fantastic, could not ask for a better bunch of people. The home was well clean, there is nothing bad we can say. Certainly will be using them if we have to haha. Hope not. They were all great. A bunch of friendly people. The home was very big. The only thing we can say is they want a bigger

I come to visit a neighbour and friend.
Staff were very welcoming, was offered a drink, spoke to other residents who seemed to be happy to chat. Some residents were engaged in activities.
It was a beautiful day, so many were in the garden strolling.

My mother was a resident for 3 years. When she first went into a care home, it was run properly and I had no issues, then the management changed and the whole place except for the kitchen and a few carers, it went downhill very quickly. My mum's personal care was none existent and I had to go every
day to give this plus senior carers gave 9 tablets in one go. The reason to refuse this many is that my mam has problems swallowing. When I complained, I was given 28 days notice. If you care for your loved ones, don't place them here.

Mum has settled so well into her new home. Now we are so reassured that she is happy and content and its down to the fabulous staff - their happy personalities project onto Mum. It is a comfort to know that she is safe, warm and happy. A testament to her comfort is having to buy her bigger size clothes

Agnes and Arthur has a warm friendly atmosphere. The staff are amazing with the residents and visitors who are treated with dignity, respect and kindness and the support they offer to the residents and visitors is outstanding. There is a good selection of food on offer. The resident's rooms are spacious
and they can take in personal belongings to decorate them. The residents are given various activities to try on a daily basis keeping their minds stimulated. In the garden, there are sheltered tables and chairs for you to use and the cleanliness and security are of a high standard.

I was really worried about my dad being admitted to a care home but the staff here have been brilliant. The care shown not only to my dad but to all of the family has been first class. Dad is treated with dignity and the staff are always on hand if we have any issues.

When my dad was admitted for respite in June 2016 we were all devastated, however, we can all honestly say that this has been the best place for him. He seems so happy, healthy and looks clean and tidy all the time. Dad has built a rapport with all the staff and he constantly says how brilliant they
all are and we have to agree.
The home is very helpful with everything whether that be doctors appointment or supporting dad through his low moods. The home always has activities on to give dad the happiness he deserves. My two daughters both work in care and are also extremely impressed with the care dad receives. Thank you to all staff at Agnes and Arthur.

My wife came into the care home in December 2016. Since then I have found that she has received the correct care she needs. I have been totally satisfied with the care she has had. The staff have been lovely, always keep me up to date of how she is. They are very approachable and when I have been there
are great with all the patients.
I am extremely satisfied with the care she has had so far and she is settling really well.
My overall impression in just under a month of her being there is excellent.

It took a few days for my wife to settle but she's settled really well and her eating has got better and all the staff dress her all clean and lovely. She looks well and clean. Everything has been very much appreciated by all staff. Thank you.

My mother has been in Agnes and Arthur for two weeks respite due to her partner not being well enough to care for her. In the 2 weeks she has been here she has been cared for by the fantastic staff. I have seen my mother interacting better than I have seen in months as if she has come out of her shell.
The place is clean, friendly and nothing is too much for them to help. All in all, she has been cared for at the highest level and we will hopefully be booking mum in again if the need arises.

Agnes and Arthur has been a lifesaver for me I cannot praise the staff enough they are very caring and attentive to my mums and residents needs at all times. It's a home away from home very welcoming, you are immediately made comfortable in their surroundings. I felt at peace of mind leaving my mum

I am happy with the care my dad is receiving, the home is clean and pleasant and has a warm and friendly environment. The staff are very efficient and make sure that my dad and the other residents are well looked after, nothing is too much trouble. There are lots of activities and entertainment on daily
and tea, biscuits, fruit are given throughout the day, as well as meals. Overall I am very satisfied with how the home is run and my dad is happy and settled.

My mother has now been in this home for 15 months. She is well looked after and her medical needs are very well taken care of. Like many people with dementia she can be stubborn and the staff are good at dealing with her. My only concern is the residents tend to sit around not talking to anyone and
the staff have to much paperwork to fill in, when that time would be better spent talking to the residents.

I am very happy with the care at Agnes and Arthur. My mother has thrived since being here. She has gained weight, made friends and is much happier than previously. The facilities and rooms are excellent. Garden is lovely.
The staff are brilliant. Lots of open days at Agnes and Arthur for the residents
family etc with lots of activities. I really cannot praise the staff enough for what they do.
