It's all been very satisfactory. I had a lovely apartment. Everyone has been very kind and I have been well looked after. Highly recommended. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff they were all very caring and always cheerful, especially first thing in the morning.
The only downside was
that my apartment was not in the main building and I had to go outside in the cold to get to the restaurant, so I stayed in my apartment.

My 92-year-old mum spent a week here for respite care after a knee replacement operation. It was just what she needed after a dreadful six days in two hospitals. The staff were caring, encouraging, helpful and met all her needs. She certainly enjoyed the catering and being able to choose when she wanted
to have meals in her room or go to the communal dining room. Thank you.

My mother stayed at Loxley Park for 2 weeks in order to be provided with some respite care. She was very well cared for by all of the staff who were kind, polite and always willing to help.

My mother found her stay to be enjoyable and facilitated her recovery in a safe environment.

From the moment my Sister and I first visited Loxley Park with Dad, we all felt that the staff were very welcoming, caring, friendly, attentive and approachable.
Dad's flat is very comfortable and he keeps letting us know that he feels very at home.
A huge weight has been lifted from my Sister and
I, as we know our Dad is very safe, warm, well fed and extremely well looked after. This is all thanks to a combined effort from all the staff.
We would have no hesitation in recommending Loxley Park for the care of your loved ones.

My parents moved to Loxley Park when my father's health was starting to fail.
Their apartment is lovely and we were impressed straight away by the friendly, helpful staff and the range of activities provided. Eventually, dad needed care and we were very grateful not only for the care he received also
but for the support that was given to Mum.

Mum has been on her own for a few years now and living at Loxley Park has enabled her to be pretty independent - going on shopping and theatre trips and joining the activities that interest her. She's recently started to need support herself and once again the staff have been wonderful. Living at Loxley Park enhanced the quality of my parent's' lives, the family are so pleased they chose to move here.

My father moved to Loxley 2 months ago after a very difficult year. He was in an emotionally fragile state. I was impressed and relieved that the staff very quickly assessed the situation and his needs. He has been treated with kindness and understanding of high quality. I am sure he will be happy in
this environment and I will have peace of mind. Thanks to all.

My husband is 92 and not very mobile. I do have help caring for him but I needed a break. I had heard very good reports of Loxley Park and booked a week. We were both very pleased with the accommodation, the food, the facilities and we found all the staff very friendly and helpful. I would love to go
again but my husband needs more care.

I now can go away and relax knowing mum is safe, happy and well stimulated. If mum, who is close to 100 years old, was to have a mishap, I know that everything will be dealt with in a highly professional and sensitive way.
Thank you Loxley Park.

This was a respite stay for my Mom and it exceeded all my expectations. The beautiful surroundings and the friendliness and care and the staff was excellent.
The apartment was clean and well furnished. Mom did not settle initially and was getting upset. It must have been daunting, the first time away
from home on her own.
However, over the next few days, Mom settled and was more comfortable in the new environment.
Upon leaving, we could see the change in Mom and how content she had become. In fact, Mom wanted to stay a little longer.

All areas, both public and private, that I visited were immaculate, spotless and beautifully decorated. My mum hasn't eaten so well in ages. The food was beautiful, well presented and courteously served. All the staff were polite, caring and gave a really personal service. It was my mum's first visit
and everyone was so welcoming and got to know both my mum and myself very quickly. The entertainment and activities were also excellent and stimulating.

Our parents immediately felt welcomed into the warm and friendly environment. With staff available to meet and support their needs, they feel safe. The staff are cheerful, helpful, approachable and respectful, always having a friendly word to say and happy in their work at Loxley Park. Showing passion
for delivering a high-quality service and going the extra mile is a daily event.
Staff promote independence whilst maintaining dignity, giving residents a feeling of well being. Care services are tailored to individual needs, delivered in a flexible way with feedback from residents and relatives being actively invited. High-quality food is served in a bright, airy restaurant. Providing the ambience of a hotel with help and personal attention given by Loxley’s dedicated staff. Multiple activities and trips give residents plenty to do, encouraged by the staff.
With a shop and hairdressers, as well as beautiful grounds to walk in, it’s no wonder the residents are so happy.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.827)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.827) out of 10 for Loxley Park - Avery Healthcare is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 18 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 18 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.877 for Loxley Park - Avery Healthcare is calculated as follows: ( (187 Excellents x 5) + (24 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 212 Ratings = 4.877
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.95 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Loxley Park - Avery Healthcare is based on 18 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.95
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 75 registered maximum number of service users is 15, which has been reached with 18 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
