Have done two respite stays with Mum and I've been really impressed with the home. Staff are great and it's a lovely environment with lots for Mum to do. She has been happy here.

The staff are very kind and attentive, though staffing numbers sometimes feel a little stretched. Meals are good and my parent enjoys the food. Housekeeping is generally good and I feel that the overall care is good. Activities are hard to find something that everyone enjoys or can participate in, but
residents are encouraged to join in. In terms of value for money, fees have increased massively and I don't consider all of these are justified. Head office don't do a great job of that.

I visited a friend who has been in Grove Park Care Home for a while. What a lovely place it is. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. My friend was telling me about the amazing activities they do. She says she loves being in there, she feels safe and well looked after. The staff are like her family.
Everywhere was so clean and bright and the food looked delicious. I'm so pleased I visited my friend and to see her happy and well looked after.

Dad has been at Grove Park for four years now and has never been happier. He's made such an improvement from where he moved in from. He takes regular trips out and has made great companionships. I fell at home when I visit Dad.

Grove Park Care Home - Avery Healthcare have cared for my Grandma for over 3 years now.
The staff have always gone above and beyond for her and she really feels it is her home now.
We couldn’t ask for any more from the facilities and cleanliness too.
The management are always there to answer any
queries or concerns we have with my grandma's health, and always want to make her experience as dignified as possible, even suggesting new clothes which are more accessible but still making her feel like ‘her’.
I could not recommend it enough!

My Auntie moved into Grove Park Care Home - Avery Healthcare, after always saying she wouldn't go into a care home. She loves it in there and wishes she'd moved sooner. The staff are friendly and very helpful, her days are so much brighter since being there. She looks on the staff as her family, nothing
is too much trouble for them. I would definitely recommend Grove Park Care Home.

My gran moved into Grove Park Care Home on a respite basis, she settled in amazingly. She has always declined to go into a care home. My gran loved the care team and treated them as her own grandchildren, always hugging them. She said there is always something to do. The activities are amazing and the
care she received was amazing she was very well cared for and would definitely be returning in due course. Amazing Grove Park team.

Grove Park has been caring for my dad for over 4 years. I’m always made to feel welcome, the team have helped Dad socialise more, gain weight and just in general made him happier than being at home, and for that I can’t thank you enough. From walking in the front door to leaving to go home, the team are nothing but welcoming, friendly and kind. Nothing is too much trouble and I feel I’ve been made to feel like part of the home. The staff team are so supportive and patient with me and my husband and any care he needs. Thank you all.

It is outstanding the hard work and dedication the Grove Park team members put into every day and all with a smile on their faces. From arrival, we continue to be greeted by the staff with a happy cheerful conversation, the care team on the floors are also just as welcoming and supportive of families
and their loved ones. Mum is so happy here, she calls me every night to tell me how great her day has been, what the staff and the activities team have been doing with her.

Gran has been at Grove Park for over 2 nearly 3 years and I cannot recommend the home enough. They're like family, when my own mum passed away they looked after me like one of their own and helped me and Gran. The Chef is always making sure that she always has her alternatives for her allergies and
asking her ideas on free from recipes as Gran is gluten intolerant and dairy intolerant. The Head of Wellbeing works hard on making the activities the best they can be with having to stay apart. Thanks, Grove for looking after her.

The home is fabulous, with brilliant communication open and honest culture and a caring heart behind it. Dad is so happy, gaining weight, socialising with friends and just enjoying his life, rather than sat at home alone. Thanks for making him feel like himself again.

My mum moved in 3 months ago and I can not express the relief I felt when she moved in and the team made it so swift, supported, and calm despite the current restrictions. The calls with the manager were reassuring and she was in-depth and clear regarding policies to keep mum safe. They were vigilant
with their paperwork and being tested prior to moving in. The home is beautiful with the most divine patio and scenery. We look forward to spending time with mum within the home areas too.

My mother has expressed nothing but joy since moving in last month. The team made the government guidance to isolation so comfortable for her, making sure mother had things to do, plenty of refreshments and stayed active. I was given an in-depth amount of information on the move-in, policies and who

Mum was in 2 homes prior to Grove Park Care Home and was not happy with either. As soon as she saw Grove Park, she was astounded care homes like that actually exist. The team are always there to listen and support and have taken on a tremendous effort to keep all our loved ones safe at such a trying
time. We are proud as punch to talk about Grove Park as a family when people ask how Mum is during the pandemic.
Mum has nothing but nice things to say when we FaceTime her every week - which is always on time and the wellbeing girls are so lovely to help her have these calls with us. Thanks to all at Grove Park, you all deserve it.

Our Mum has been in Grove Park for six years. The staff are brilliant and love and care for her whether she's on Headingley Suite or having coffee. Through covid, they have all been exemplary. The love and care have been outstanding in a time when we are not able to visit or see her. The garden visits
were great, and when that isn't possible, we have Facetime. Singing and tea parties have still taken place, which is lovely. We thank everyone so much.

The ladies and gents have done an exceptional job to keep us safe through this time. Whilst we're unable to do our usual abundance of activities due to sitting away from one another but we still do lots of stuff.

Lisa Turnbull

I have a rich 21 years experience in health leadership roles and hold a strong passion and commitment to person led care.


For my team I encourage a supportive, enabling and reflective culture in which we learn and grow through individual and shared experiences. With this approach at Grove Park we have a long serving core team that offer stability and consistency in care. I hold qualifications in management, mental health, teaching, dementia care, psychological and social interventions at a degree level, as well as being a psychiatric nurse.

The team at Grove Park, where I have worked for 8 years, takes pride in the delivery of good standards of care, and we work hard to ensure through what we do, the lives of those in our care are enriched through our eclectic approach to well-being. Our team has strong values around dignity in care, who commit to being champions, and the whole team are involved in ensuring excellent outcomes and enrichment of life for those in our care.


As a home we are proud of our embedded approach to caring for those living the dementia and age related cognitive decline. The whole team receive person led memory care training at induction and ongoing. Our environments through-out the home are both supportive and enabling to the resident community and serve to optimise quality of life and overall wellbeing. As a team we are great ambassadors of person led care.

Leanne like all of the core team at Grove Park is a long-serving team member, who has been supporting those choosing Grove Park as their new home to make this a seamless and enjoyable transition.


Leanne is always there as a welcoming and helpful presence for all of the community to access including visitors who may just want a reassuring catch-up over a coffee in the social hub of the home- the coffee shop.


Leanne has worked for Avery Healthcare in many roles over the years and is a trusted, committed and valued member of the team who I'm sure you will enjoy meeting.

Jenny constable

Job Title: Head housekeeper Joined: 2016

Jenny is a valued member of the team, having worked for Avery Healthcare at Grove Park care home for 8 years. As the head housekeeper Jenny assists in the personalising of resident rooms on moving in.


Jenny has proudly led the housekeeping team to achieve gold status in the prestigious CAP awards- an industry housekeeping benchmark of excellence, as well as meeting the rigorous requirements of the local infection control team over the last 8 years.


As you arrive in the home Jenny will be one of the first faces to welcome you to our lovely home.

Steve Tatler

Job Title: Head chef Joined: 2016

Steve is a long-serving team member of over 8 years and remains a core member of the team, proudly leading the culinary team through success.


Throughout his time at Grove Park, Steve alongside his culinary team has upheld an exceptional standard in our home dining and culinary experience, subsequently achieving Gold in 2019 through the prestigious CAP (Continuous Advancement Programme) Awards, successfully achieving Vegetarian for Life accreditation for the home, as well as upholding 5 stars with the food standards agency.


Steve has also been at the forefront of success after receiving the Managing Directors Award presented to him by John Strowbridge.


Steve is always keen to meet new families and loved ones to ensure the personal touch to dining is in place from moving in.

Emma Parsons

Emma has a vast amount of experience of working within administration in the care sector.


She has a keen eye for detail and will be able to support you regarding funding your stay here at Grove Park.

Beth has worked at Grove Park Care Home for almost 6 years, having started her working life with the Grove Park family as a valued member of the care team.


Beth is a committed and compassionate member of the team who utilises her care skills and personable qualities every day in her role as part of the front-of-house team.


Beth will be one of the first in the team to welcome you either face to face or by phone, Beth is a font of information, she always has time to ensure that moving into Grove Park is as seamless as possible.

Tracy is a trusted and long-serving member of the team having worked for Avery Healthcare for over 10 years and at Grove Park for 8 years.


Tracy Leads a team of 3 well-being assistants who bring with them a plethora of unique qualities, skills and interests.


Tracy has a wealth of experience in developing and successfully delivering well-being and activity programs to suit eclectic needs so that our offering fully supports inclusivity and so that there is always something for everyone.


Tracy really likes getting to know each member of the community individually to incorporate personal interests into the well-being and activity offering.


As a sense of personal well-being is intrinsic to moving into Grove Park, Tracy will be keen to welcome you as part of getting to know the home and when moving in.

Job Title: Clinical lead and team leader extra care suite Joined: 2016

I have worked at Grove Park Care Home since 2016. I hold a National Vocational qualifications level 2 and 3.


I am a clinical lead for the home and also lead the extra care suite in line with Avery's Healthcare person-led care approach.


I am one of the first points of contact involved in the development of person-centred care plans for all new residents moving into the home, this is so we can get things just right for everyone from moving in.


I also support information sharing with families in the early weeks of moving in, as well as being continually involved in overseeing care delivery.


I am always happy to help answer any questions you might have when visiting our home.

Our barista Virginija has been welcoming guests to the home for the last 10 years, occupying the highly regarded barista role in the social hub of the home- the coffee shop.


Virginija represents the lived values of Grove Park Care Home as though they were made just for her.


Virginijas’ human qualities are the most treasured, she is warm, welcoming, kind, caring and intuitive.


Virginija looks after our guests and residents exceptionally well, spreading positivity and joy every day.


Virginija loves to get to know all of the residents and guests in the home and loves to create a stimulating and interactive atmosphere in the coffee, be sure to pop in the coffee shop when you visit us.

Mark Brotherton

Job Title: Maintenance operative Joined: 2022

Mark our maintenance operative has been an amazing addition to the Team of the Year 2023, joining us almost a year ago.


Since commencing in his role Mark has demonstrated a solid commitment to environmental and safety standards within the home.


Mark has a very positive approach and has built up some lovely relationships with the resident community.


Mark supports all of the departments in the home and is a naturally supportive team member.


We appreciate Marks dedication to his role and responsibilities and are pleased to have him in team Grove Park.

Park Mark will be happy to assist with making residents bedrooms as homely as possible, adding personal art work, photos etc., and ensuring the room layout is just right.
