Gove Park Care Home is a beautiful place to wake up every morning with cosy, warm and family atmosphere.
Surrounded by staff dedicated to a welcoming ethos that ensures every person is valued. We are very happy to have this home for our mum.

My grandfather recently moved back into Grove Park after a previous stint of respite care. There was no hesitation on the return, and we were pleased to see all the staff again, including the hands-on team leaders who were there waiting for our arrival. It's nice to know he's safe and cared for whilst
we as a family aren't around.

This home was a breath of fresh air on our search for a care home. From our first look around and all subsequent visits, all the staff make us feel welcome. Our relative enjoys living here and is so much happier than at home, she enjoys the food, the activity team have a great approach to engaging her

My gran moved in two years ago and quickly settled into Grove Park, there are lots of good activities to do and brilliant entertainment on the planner. The food is always really good and made fresh with plenty to choose from, the staff are very helpful to suit my grandmother's needs as she can be quite
a challenging lady! The staff quite clearly have an amazing relationship with the residents, and speak to them as if they are friends but still having that respect for them. The management team are really lovely and whenever I have a query they always get back to me promptly and are very polite and understanding. I always ask her “Are you happy here gran” and the only complaint I hear is that she doesn’t want to eat roast beef on a Sunday! I am so happy with everything, the decor is stunning and the way that it is tailored with objects from their childhood and things that they would remember if they have dementia. When CQC return I can guarantee that they will have outstanding in all areas!

I have lived at Grove Park since June 2018, before this, I had never dreamt I would be in a care home I was so adamant I would be independent forever.
I had a fall which what had let me to become a permanent resident. This fall had knocked my confidence and I couldn't manage physically. It had taken
some persuasion from my son and daughter but once I had been here a few weeks I soon realised I would settle in really well and changed my status to permanent after 6 weeks. My daughter chose this home as it was close too, she came to view it and was very impressed with the facilities.
I enjoy the care home very much, the residents are friendly and you can socialise as much as you want or retreat to your room for some privacy. It really does feel like home from home. The staff from all areas of the home are wonderful always there to help and very caring by nature, no matter what the problem there is always someone on hand to help, they are very friendly, they are very good at what they do.

My grandad stayed here for another 2 weeks of respite. This home is amazing. My grandad suffers from dementia and every time we saw him he was happy and singing away (his favourite past time). All the staff in the home were polite and friendly and treated my grandad with respect and dignity. The home
manager again greeted us when we arrived and made my grandad feel welcome and put him at ease. Thank you for everything. We will be back.

The general atmosphere within the home has lifted so much since the new manager took over in 2016 but even more so recently. The activities within the home are of a varied range. There have been trips out that I've witnessed and wonderful things within the home. The summer fayre was so fun and well
organised I can't wait for the Christmas fayre. The food smells delicious and Gran has never complained. She has her hair done weekly and is treated with such respect. We couldn't be happier.

Our family has found the standard of care and services within this facility absolutely outstanding. We couldn't ask for a better care home for our mother and she is extremely happy here. She has made many new friends and the activities provided really bring the residents together with a large variety

I cannot thank all the staff at Grove Park enough for the care and help my mum receives on a daily basis. Since she moved in on 30 January 2018, we have noticed a change in her health, happiness and wellbeing. The transformation is amazing. Thank you to everyone who has helped her to settle in and enjoy
her surroundings. She loves her weekly visit to the hairdresser who does a wonderful job with her hair. We can leave after visits content that she is safe and in good hands at all times. Many thanks for the warm welcome we always receive when we visit. Well done to you all for the amazing work you do 24 hours a day you deserve a medal. We certainly chose the best.

Mum has been here for some time now, she is happy, well looked after and supported in living with dignity. Staff are friendly and kind and always doing there best to ensure mum is ok. Activities are varied and I believe the residents meet in a committee to discuss items each month. The food has improved

This was a breath of fresh from the homes we looked at, as soon as we walked in it felt relaxed and homely, but also very alive, something we were so impressed by. We visited 4 times various family before deciding and each time no matter what time of day we were made to feel welcome and dealt with courteously.
The standards did not disappoint from the first impression. Our relative had a really good stay and we appreciated the extra mile that they put into everything. Thank you.

When visiting my relative, I could not believe how polite the staff were. We were offered drinks and a smile - we even saw the manager talking residents into the activities. The home is clean and well presented and tastefully furnished. There were some marks on the lower part of a door but that's
all we could see. My relative looks happy and well cared-for - that will do us and the staff were nice and smiling so they are happy as you hear such terror stories but not at Grove Park.

I visited the home recently and was welcomed warmly by the staff at reception. I was invited to take refreshments in the fabulous cafe and the latte was lovely (better than Costa!) Throughout the short visit I felt the atmosphere was calm, pleasant & friendly the staff could not have been more helpful.

I have a rich 21 years experience in health leadership roles and hold a strong passion and commitment to person led care.


For my team I encourage a supportive, enabling and reflective culture in which we learn and grow through individual and shared experiences. With this approach at Grove Park we have a long serving core team that offer stability and consistency in care. I hold qualifications in management, mental health, teaching, dementia care, psychological and social interventions at a degree level, as well as being a psychiatric nurse.

The team at Grove Park, where I have worked for 8 years, takes pride in the delivery of good standards of care, and we work hard to ensure through what we do, the lives of those in our care are enriched through our eclectic approach to well-being. Our team has strong values around dignity in care, who commit to being champions, and the whole team are involved in ensuring excellent outcomes and enrichment of life for those in our care.


As a home we are proud of our embedded approach to caring for those living the dementia and age related cognitive decline. The whole team receive person led memory care training at induction and ongoing. Our environments through-out the home are both supportive and enabling to the resident community and serve to optimise quality of life and overall wellbeing. As a team we are great ambassadors of person led care.

Leanne like all of the core team at Grove Park is a long-serving team member, who has been supporting those choosing Grove Park as their new home to make this a seamless and enjoyable transition.


Leanne is always there as a welcoming and helpful presence for all of the community to access including visitors who may just want a reassuring catch-up over a coffee in the social hub of the home- the coffee shop.

Jenny is a valued member of the team, having worked for Avery Healthcare at Grove Park care home for 8 years. As the head housekeeper Jenny assists in the personalising of resident rooms on moving in.


Jenny has proudly led the housekeeping team to achieve gold status in the prestigious CAP awards- an industry housekeeping benchmark of excellence, as well as meeting the rigorous requirements of the local infection control team over the last 8 years.

Steve is a long-serving team member of over 8 years and remains a core member of the team, proudly leading the culinary team through success.


Throughout his time at Grove Park, Steve alongside his culinary team has upheld an exceptional standard in our home dining and culinary experience, subsequently achieving Gold in 2019 through the prestigious CAP (Continuous Advancement Programme) Awards, successfully achieving Vegetarian for Life accreditation for the home, as well as upholding 5 stars with the food standards agency.


Steve has also been at the forefront of success after receiving the Managing Directors Award presented to him by John Strowbridge.


Steve is always keen to meet new families and loved ones to ensure the personal touch to dining is in place from moving in.

I have worked at Grove Park Care Home since 2016. I hold a National Vocational qualifications level 2 and 3.


I am a clinical lead for the home and also lead the extra care suite in line with Avery's Healthcare person-led care approach.


I am one of the first points of contact involved in the development of person-centred care plans for all new residents moving into the home, this is so we can get things just right for everyone from moving in.


I also support information sharing with families in the early weeks of moving in, as well as being continually involved in overseeing care delivery.


I am always happy to help answer any questions you might have when visiting our home.

Our barista Virginija has been welcoming guests to the home for the last 10 years, occupying the highly regarded barista role in the social hub of the home- the coffee shop.

Virginijas’ human qualities are the most treasured, she is warm, welcoming, kind, caring and intuitive.


Virginija looks after our guests and residents exceptionally well, spreading positivity and joy every day.

Mark our maintenance operative has been an amazing addition to the Team of the Year 2023, joining us almost a year ago.


Since commencing in his role Mark has demonstrated a solid commitment to environmental and safety standards within the home.


Mark has a very positive approach and has built up some lovely relationships with the resident community.


Mark supports all of the departments in the home and is a naturally supportive team member.
