My dad has been living in this home since March 2017, he has last stage Alzheimer's so is mostly bedridden. He needs to be fed and given drinks on a regular basis. He is treated very well by the carers and well attended by the nurses. The carers are kind, friendly and helpful. They work long shifts
and the role is physically demanding, despite this they remain cheerful and if assistance is required they are always there. The staff chat with my dad and make sure he has music playing or his TV on, he cannot do anything for himself and totally relies on them. I have confidence in them to care for him when I am not there. I am reassured by the level of care he receives and it gives me peace of mind. The staff are always friendly when I visit and can update me on my dad's progress if asked. The maintenance and cleaning staff are also friendly and thorough in their roles. The manager and her assistant are both extremely approachable if there are any issues. Thanks to them all for everything.

Whitby Court care home cared for my mum during the last two months of her life after she had fractured her hip and subsequently needed round the clock care. All the staff have been wonderful showing kindness, respect and friendship whilst treating mum with dignity and care to the highest level. They
have enabled mum to end her life in the way she wished. The end of life care was beautiful. We'll never forget them.

My mother was admitted to Whitby Court Care Home from hospital following a major operation for a fractured neck of femur which occurred following a fall at her home. She was on the nursing floor, as she was no longer mobile and required 24-hour care. Sadly in March my mother suffered a major stroke,
verified by CT scan at the hospital, and was discharged back to Whitby Court for palliative care. She passed away peacefully 3 days later. I cannot find words to adequately express the professional, caring, dedicated, exemplary care that my mother received here; from all of the staff. My mother's dignity was maintained, thanks to a truly wonderful team.

I was sent from hospital for 2 weeks respite care after a fractured femur, I cannot speak too highly of the care I received in the home. Nothing was too much trouble and the loving, kind and patient staff made me (an old lady approaching 96) feel among friends and ensured that I can walk again with
renewed confidence. The standard of care throughout was immaculate, I was sorry to leave!

My aunt has been in care for some 6 years now and at Whitby Court since Easter 2014. I have therefore watched the home develop and evolve since it opened very nearly. Whitby Court has established a happy, homely, caring atmosphere - my aunt started on the ground floor but is now on the first floor as
she needs full nursing care. It cannot be easy for those (largely young) people but they maintain a cheery demeanour, retain the resident's dignity, give choices where possible - and they care for us, the family too.

Excellent care home with excellent staff. My father spent 8 months here and was extremely happy and well looked after. I was always made to feel welcome when I visited. The home is of a high standard both in the environment and in the care given.

Our mother has been in Whitby Court Care Home for over two years. We have found that the care she receives there is a of a very high standard. She has a comfortable room with a view of the surrounding area which makes a lot of difference to her contentment. She has only compliments for the staff who
are helpful and friendly (to visitors also). Mother is always encouraged to join in activities. She enjoys the music and films. The staff are swift to act if medical care is needed. Independence is encouraged where appropriate.
Overall, Whitby Court is a warm and caring environment. Our mother is happy and well cared for.

The staff at Whitby Court threat my nan with complete dignity and respect. She felt completely at home. Her medication got completely sorted out. She felt really supported, enjoyed the variety of food provided. She enjoyed the variety of food provided. She enjoyed her room as it had a door which she
could open and enjoy the fresh air.
She had her favourite staff members but did get on well with a lot of the staff.

Mum came to Whitby Court a year ago and was very happy until illness struck. She was admitted to Hospital and all but died in June 2016. On her return to Whitby Court, she suffered for several months however, I believe that the nursing care that she was afforded there brought her back around to the
woman that she is today and a truly memorable dominoes game. All I have to say to the staff at Whitby Court is Thank You.

Mum spent the last six months of her life in the care home and although it was never going to be like her own home we felt very fortunate that she was there. The home offer her a safe, clean environment with compassionate caring staff, we used to comment on how mum looked more cared for than she had
in years. Always clean and tidy and treated with dignity, if mum had a grievance it would be the food, she would have preferred home cooking. The family were involved in details of care plan, the manager was involved at all times very professional, efficient, showed compassion and care support and reassurance. Had the ability to do excellent professional job but was like a friend too. Very honest and transparent. Mum had a pain free peaceful death surrounded by people she knew and her family. She was supported in every way which was extended to family, which has allowed the family to have good memories of her last days in home.
