Generally among the main permanent staff, satisfactory throughout and as far as catering is concerned, mainly good. Comfortable. One member of staff, in particular, is lovely with Dad and he feels safe with her - as he does with some of the other carers, especially as he is blind.

Whitby Court Care Home is well run by the manager who is exemplary in her care of residents and their relatives. My mother was treated with dignity, humour and love even when she was being particularly challenging. This is a well-run home and the care given is excellent.

Very welcoming. Clean facility and clothing/personal items - well done.
Attentive staff (plenty available).
Nursing care very competent and caring. Our relative has felt at home and settled. Standard of laundry has been very well managed (nothing lost!).

A bright, modern and purpose-built building with cosy and comfortable public rooms. The equipment, however, is a clinical medical standard. It all amounts to one thing - a highly professional standard. The staff are always caring and warm. They go beyond the call of duty to make the residents happy,
including encouraging them to take part in activities. The nursing staff observe proper clinical standards.

My husband was first sent to Whitby Court on Covid respite. He enjoyed his stay and now is there long term with Midterm Dementia. The staff welcomed him back warmly, and he was quite happy to stay. He has settled nicely and is doing well and making friends etc. I am so pleased that we got a place as

Myself and all my family were very happy with the care my mum received at Whitby Court, the staff were very caring, her room was lovely and spacious. Mum always had plenty of food and drinks and was very happy in the home, where staff cared for Mum to the end of her life.

Mum has been a resident for just around six months. The management, nurses and care staff have all been excellent and extremely supportive to both my mother and myself during this period of transition. She could no longer remain in her own home due to failing health. The home is run to a very high standard,
my mum is treated with friendliness and dignity by all of the carers and nurses and they are extremely welcoming whenever I visit.

Our Aunt and Uncle we're both residents. Both lived on the residential ground floor and as their care needs changed they moved to the nursing floor. They both died peacefully on the nursing floor. Our Aunt over a year ago and our Uncle two weeks ago. They were both happy with their care and carers and
felt safe and well looked after. Their designated carers were much loved by our Aunt and Uncle. From our point of view, our Aunt and Uncle were always safe. The Care Team treating them with professional care, respect and maintained their dignity. Communication, even through the early stages of the pandemic, was timely and accurate concerning our Uncle's care and condition. We cannot recommend the staff and the home facilities high enough. Thank you.

Both my parents were residents at Whitby Court Care Home until the passing away of them both recently. The care and management from all the staff in the care home have always been of a high standard and nothing was ever too much, it also became my family. Covid has made life difficult for the staff
and residents but the best was made out of the times we were unable to see our loved ones. Thank you to you all.

Whitby Court care home is a modern building with wide corridors and good-sized rooms. The staff are friendly and helpful. The staff have constant training and the home is well managed by a lady who is always available to discuss any problems etc.

My mum has been in Whitby Court for just over a year and I was only able to visit for three weeks, before lockdown. The care Mum has received during such as difficult time for the management and staff, has been excellent and it has been so reassuring to know Mum is happy and safe. I cannot praise Whitby
Court staff highly enough for all their hard work.

My husband only spent a few months in Whitby Court but during his time there he was cared for with kindness, warmth and sensitivity. Although his dementia meant he was unlikely to join group activities, carers made sure he was given that opportunity. Time was taken to meet his individual preferences
- he loved a walk or a dance, or carers would just sit with him and although his condition meant he was generally non-verbal his response to them (a smile, a wink or a hug) was heartwarming and reassuring for me to see.
The home provides a light, spacious environment and is clean and well maintained. We were able to bring in personal items to decorate my husband’s room. Visitors were welcome anytime, and there was always a member of staff available to discuss his care and also to support myself during his stay. The decision to place a relative in care is a difficult one, thank you, everyone, for making my husband’s last months as comfortable and fulfilling as possible.

We just want to pass on some heartfelt thanks and feedback for your fantastic manager and her wonderful care team. The manager, in particular, has been outstanding given the difficulties and complexities that have arisen due to family issues and disputes over the time Mum has lived at Whitby Court.
The manager has been brilliant, and we would like you to thank and recognise her; as a great manager and a wonderful caring person. In addition, the care team have been amazing throughout. They particularly stood out in regards to Mum's care and their overall interactions with her. Also, please thank the team for attending Mum's funeral last Monday. We really did appreciate their support and remembrance of our lovely Mum.
You have a superb team at Whitby Court, and my husband and I will miss coming to see Mum and indeed your team.

My cousin has been here for over 2 years and I visit her every week. Her health improved immediately she came here. She appears to be quite happy, clean, tidy and well-fed. All the staff are very friendly and caring. The care home is excellent.

My mother (now 98) went into Whitby Court Care Home in March 2018. From the beginning, I was impressed by the sensitivity and sense of humour of staff, management, all of whom are good listeners and respond promptly to the needs of residents. The facility is spacious and light. Mum's room has a view
over a wood and daffodils in season, a dog walk path and nursery school playground. Lots of activity! The activities provided are stimulating and fun. Mum's comments: "The staff are very understanding. I feel comfortable, I feel FREE" (this said with emphasis).

My dad has been living in this home since March 2017, he has last stage Alzheimer's so is mostly bedridden. He needs to be fed and given drinks on a regular basis. He is treated very well by the carers and well attended by the nurses. The carers are kind, friendly and helpful. They work long shifts
and the role is physically demanding, despite this they remain cheerful and if assistance is required they are always there. The staff chat with my dad and make sure he has music playing or his TV on, he cannot do anything for himself and totally relies on them. I have confidence in them to care for him when I am not there. I am reassured by the level of care he receives and it gives me peace of mind. The staff are always friendly when I visit and can update me on my dad's progress if asked. The maintenance and cleaning staff are also friendly and thorough in their roles. The manager and her assistant are both extremely approachable if there are any issues. Thanks to them all for everything.

Whitby Court care home cared for my mum during the last two months of her life after she had fractured her hip and subsequently needed round the clock care. All the staff have been wonderful showing kindness, respect and friendship whilst treating mum with dignity and care to the highest level. They
have enabled mum to end her life in the way she wished. The end of life care was beautiful. We'll never forget them.
