The staff are exceptionally kind and professional. They spend time talking to Mum which has meant her world, which had been shrinking at home, has expanded again and her quality of life and mood have improved since being at Whitby Court, which is amazing given she was very against being in a home. She
enjoys the activities which the home puts on and again these add to her quality of life. The home is very welcoming to visitors. When Mum has become ill, they have recognised it and sought professional help as needed. I am very grateful for their care.

On entering the building you are aware that it is a very clean and friendly place. There is good interaction between staff and residents and the care is very genuine. The quality and variety of the food are very good and the portions seem just right. Her personal hygiene is excellent as Mum has very
poor sight. It's a relief to me that Mum is so well looked after. Thank you.

Very pleased that my granny has settled in so well. The premises are very secure however when entering, I am not asked who I am going to see (most staff know me now). Most of the staff are very attentive and efficient.
I couldn't imaging another care home I would rather visit. Most staff give me updates
on how my gran's mood and sleep pattern have been like.

The care and support given to both my husband and myself from the staff in Whitby Court Care Home was exemplary. Every task was completed with warmth and affection in the final weeks of his life.
Due to the high ratio of staff to residents, it would be helpful if staff names could be displayed (perhaps
on an information board with pictures) to enable visitors to reciprocate the personalised contact already given by staff.

Mother has been in Whitby Court for a long time (11 years I think!). She was in very poor shape on the day she went in and now looks wonderful for her age (103). She enjoys her food and the company and is kept clean and neat. I couldn't ask for more, as I can go home and relax knowing she is safe and
well.

My mother received end-of-life care here after agreeing to stay open later to receive her from the hospital - due to the need for oxygen. This was Mum's last wish to die in Whitby, and this may not have happened otherwise.
We are grateful in the last two and a half days of her life, the home allowed
24/7 visits and family staying through the night, including giving refreshments. We will be forever grateful.

My mom came to Whitby Court on Friday 1st December. The staff were amazing and showed dignity and respect to my mom in her last few days. The home was clean and nothing was too much and you could see the staff were caring and dedicated to their jobs.

Staff are very supportive, helpful and friendly. They always have time to care for the residents and support friends and family. The home is warm and clean. All the staff make you feel as though you are always welcome and nothing is too much trouble, a very welcome cup of tea when I arrived.

Been here on many occasions, lovely staff and great caring atmosphere.
All residents here are very well looked after and all very happy with lots of fun and activities arranged!

My mam was a resident on the nursing floor, the care and love she received was 100%, from carers to management, everyone cared as much as the next person. I would highly recommend Whitby Court Care Home to many people, mam had many a lovely Xmas with them until she sadly passed.

The care staff and managers are always welcoming, friendly and helpful. I am notified immediately if there are any problems with my aunts health.
My aunt has been physically fit until a recent fall. I believe it would be beneficial to all clients to have a secure outdoor space which can be used regularly
without supervision, this would not be a difficult task as the basics are already in place.
I have had to ask on many occasions for the doors to be opened so we can sit out.

Having had Mum transferred from West Yorkshire to Whitby to be close to me, it is the best thing that has happened. She is 98 and from day one of her admittance the staff have been amazing, all departments are caring and understanding and everything is second to none and they are all understanding of

Whitby Court exceeds expectations in terms of my uncle's care, safety, comfort and management of his medical needs both in administration and unplanned needs via doctor's or hospital admission. Records are detailed when the unexpected occurs so we can see events before, during and plans for ongoing
care. The home is welcoming, clean and the decor is to a high standard. It is roomy, spacious and has a comfortable feel with dining in a separate room from the lounge.

Staff and management are always more than helpful and the residents are treated so nicely and with respect and compassion. Plenty of activities and organised outings are available if they want to join in. Encouraged to mingle and motivated to exercise, constant interaction by staff and attention to

Whitby Court Care Home is a clean and safe environment where clients are treated with dignity and respect. I can trust staff and management to cater for all my needs and build up my shattered confidence after a very unfortunate experience in another care home. I have been treated here as an intelligent,
cognisant person needing care. Whitby Court feels like a home to me and the staff are a loving family. I can trust in the management to rebuild my confidence and make me feel as if everyone really does care for the residents and their welfare. Find time in very busy schedules to show interest in our private lives, in and out of the home, and interest discussions. Jobs are done without having to be asked. Rooms are light, bright and airy, immaculately kept by very efficient staff. Staff can read the emotions of clients in a most caring fashion. Promises kept.
