My mum went in for a short stay. Her room was very comfortable and clean all the facilities were very good. The staff were kind and caring and helped her shower. They went to great lengths to make her feel welcome, and everyone hugged her when she left.

She found it difficult for the first couple of days to want to mingle with other residents and join in, but was gently encouraged by the staff, and she enjoyed talking to other people and joined in a couple of activities. She could help herself to tea, coffee, and biscuits when I wanted. Mum wished there had been a mirror in the bedroom, as she found it hard to dry her hair and used the reflection in the TV.

I can't talk highly enough of the care they give to my (not always an easy lady) sister, there are always lots of activities to keep them entertained. The staff are just great with her. I would certainly recommend Seacroft Grange Care Village.

The staff are friendly and take great care of my mum. I don't live near the home so the staff always make sure I get a video call from my mum once a week. Mum feels safe and looked after in the home and her family are happy that she is able to enjoy her remaining years.

My ma is slipping deeply into her dementia. We are working together with the home to ensure she is safe and as independent as she can be. She tends to clutter her room up, so we've together removed some items. She is now under DOL which is great, as I know she's safe. The staff are excellent, patient-centred, and genuinely care about the residents

My mum became a resident a few months ago and is very happy at Seacroft Grange. The staff are truly exceptional, providing an outstanding level of care. Nothing is too much trouble. Mum’s room is cosy, inviting, comfortable and clean, just like the rest of the surroundings. It’s a bonus to have a comfortable electric armchair in her room, which means she can elevate her legs.
My mum feels secure, valued, and respected.

My family and I are always made to feel very welcome whenever we visit.

My 92-year-old father has never looked better and he’s never felt more comfortable and cared for. Care workers, including kitchen staff and reception are just brilliant. Everyone is so friendly, helpful and approachable. The most important thing about the staff on the Wilson unit is that they care and that gives me and families peace of mind. I have never had any issues concerning my father’s care and would highly recommend Seacroft Grange Care Home.

A married couple moved into The Grange Care Village in urgent circumstances, moving from North Yorkshire to be closer to their special needs daughter. The care and support for their daughter offered by the home has been excellent, kind and warm. Sadly the wife died leaving her husband who was sensitively moved to a less secure part of the home. Attention to well-being is exceptional with activities provided during the day, 7 days a week with priority given to encourage residents to socialise together whilst allowing them to develop new skills. Their spiritual care is also catered for with visits to the local church weekly. I would have no hesitation in recommending The Grange Care Village.

Throughout the time my husband has been resident in Seacroft Grange the care he has received has been excellent. He took a while to settle and accept that this was now to be his home but with patient care and understanding he is now at ease. He is grateful for his care and has a good, friendly relationship with all of the girls.

Apart from some confusion over personal items being misplaced despite everything being named and some items put in his room which were not his we have had no issues at all. As a visitor I always receive a warm welcome and people mostly are readily available for a chat and an update. Thank you for your care.

Once again, I had a cracking week at the Grange. From the wonderful manager to the fantastic receptionist, they all welcome me into their 'family' at the Grange. They put up with my shenanigans and my cheekiness. The great well-being team help make the days go with fun and laughter. Thank you all for a great week.

Such a warm welcoming home. Every time we arrive, the staff at the desk always know us; they greet us with a smile and always mention how my mum has been. You really get a feeling that they know her; she's not just a number.
The carers and nurses are always upbeat and cheery. They are happy to chat and discuss how Mum has been and ask if we have any concerns. The place is filled with laughter and familiarity.
We tried a different home before finding Seacroft, and we felt the staff didn't want to get to know the residents and certainly wouldn't speak to us about Mum.

Seacroft Grange is a wonderful care home, and we are so glad our mum is there.

My mum spent just short of eight weeks on a hospital ward with complications relating to a sudden UTI. During her stay, she was largely bed-bound and lost her mobility and independence. She moved to Seacroft Grange to rehabilitate for a few weeks. Her room is beautiful, as are the communal areas. The staff are exceptional, professional, caring, kind and personable. She loves the food, and the activities are fabulous. She has made many friends, they support her, and the progress she has made is great!

My husband moved to Seacroft Grange in March this year. Unfortunately, he is still not settled. The carers are wonderful, patient and kind. The food is reasonable, and my husband has no complaints. The carers struggle fir to shortages of staff but still manage to put residents at ease and well cared for.

Our experince with Seacroft Grange overall has been a very good one. Any issues have been dealt with in a professional manner. The staff are extremely efficient, caring, compassionate, kind and very approachable. Lots of interaction between staff and residents also. The home appears to be well led and gives great confidence to family and friends visiting. The home is clean and tidy, and plenty of choice of food for residents, which also smells good when cooking.

This review covers an extended period of care for my wife, from before the Covid pandemic to the present. In that time, her needs have progressively increased, and this has been managed sensitively and effectively. The staff in the community caring for her are uniformly kind, thoughtful and respectful. The management team are available and approachable. The well-being team are imaginative and caring. Everyone is quick to recognise visitors and know them by name. (I have been visiting long enough and frequently enough for that to be expected but I remember being impressed by it initially, and I often notice around the building that others are welcomed with just as much warmth).

In short, I go home after my visits comfortable with the thought that my wife will be safe and cared for.

Eve MoranJob Title:Home Manager

The most important part of my role as manager is to be honest, flexible and responsive to people’s needs. Being kind and caring is also essential, residents and their families should always be able to trust us.

I am always so proud to see the positive impact we have in supporting residents. We are a large home, and it feels great to be able to offer innovative care and combat some of the stigma surrounding care provision.

I have 16 years of experience and am a registered mental health nurse. I also have a level five qualification in leadership and management. I first started as a clinical lead so becoming manager has been a career highlight.

I am equally busy outside of work and spend as much time as I can with my partner and little boy. I am very close to my mum too. I also can’t forget to mention Alan, our dog, who we love to walk.
