My wife has been in this care home for over a year now, the home is kept fresh, clean and warm. The carers are friendly, cheerful and kind to those in their charge. At a recent emergency hospital visit-always, a day-long visit- her carer gave up her free time to stay attending to her needs. Well done.
Thank you very much for your kind words which I will pass on to the staff concerned. We are delighted that you are happy with the care provided, our staff strive to deliver high-quality care. Once again, thank you. Take Care.
My father suffers from Parkinson's Disease, mild dementia and mobility issues. After visiting many care homes in the area we selected Mosswood Care Home and my father was admitted in November 2021. This was an excellent decision. The facility is very clean and modern. It is well run by a fantastic team with a strong culture of caring. There have been many examples where staff have gone above and beyond to support my father (and myself). My questions, requests and feedback are always listened to and acted upon. Challenges such as Covid-19 have been managed admirably and the rules that keep the residents safe are enforced with a smile. Their professionalism and everyday actions give me, my family and my father's friends peace of mind that he is in good hands. From the reception through all areas of the facility, Mosswood is a happy place. Simply amazing!
Once again thank you.
The complex is always very clean and hygienic. Having been in an out of other care establishments throughout the years in my job and also previously with my mum, I cannot commend Mosswood, enough. Well done and thanks.
Thank you for kind words and observations on the care, support and confidence our staff have provided to you, and your dad. I will ensure the staff are provided a copy as I know they will be hugely appreciative. Reading feedback such as yours gives us all a boost and confidence that we are meeting the needs of those we care for.
My mum has been a resident of Mosswood Care Home for 2 years, and I am very happy with the standard of care and attention she receives from all the staff. It has been a difficult time with COVID but Mosswood have been very accommodating throughout this period. There are opportunities to raise concerns, and these have been dealt with promptly. My mind is at ease knowing that my mum is safe and well looked after. All the staff from the reception and the care staff are friendly and helpful. Thank you for looking after my mum so well.
I am delighted to read your experience and especially that you have a great relationship with the manager and staff to raise any concerns you may have. We always strive to provide the best experience for our residents and families, and by raising issues, or making suggestions, it helps us to do...
Mum was admitted a few weeks before Christmas last year. This was a very difficult and sad time for our family. The staff in Mosswood through their kindness, compassion and empathy helped enormously to settle my mum and throughout the year I have found all the staff extremely patient and thoughtful. The staff know my mother very well and I feel she is getting the best care possible.
Thank you for being so honest and open with your feelings, we know just how difficult decisions such as these can be. I am incredibly humbled by your comments, particularly of our staff. I know just how dedicated and caring they are, and I will make sure they see your lovely words about them.
The staff generally know us by name and know our mum's likes and dislikes. The social activities were in the past average, however, we believe this has been addressed.
Thank you for taking the time in leaving Mosswood Care Home with your review. I am delighted to read of your experience and that of your mum. We have recently been engaging with residents and families to determine the various types of activities they would like to experience. I would ask, if you...
I am writing to express my thanks to the staff at Mosswood Care Home for the love and care they have shown towards my mother. She was a resident at the home for just over 12 months, and during that time, the staff were always very friendly, helpful and approachable. Sadly Mum passed away this week, but the nurses and carers helped the family through this sad time. I highly recommend this home for your relative.
Take Care.
I feel that Mosswood Care Home is a wonderful environment for my mother-in-law and she is very happy.
Thank you for taking the time for your kind words. Our staff take a lot of pride in the care and support they provide and it is lovely to read your experience.
Management - have total confidence in them, they lead by example and are always available if needed.
In general - although my wife and I couldn't visit Dad for over a year, when we eventually saw him, he was healthy and happy - speaks volumes.
Thank you for your kind observations and reflections on the care, support and confidence our staff have provided to you, your family and your dad. I know they will be hugely appreciative, as I am, of your review, and they will feel great pride knowing they have made a difference.
My father's complex needs are well catered for. All of the staff - operational, admin, management are very informative. I have absolutely no concerns about my father's care. Staff are always helpful with very positive outlooks, even in these unprecedented times.
Thank you for your kind and considerate review. Whilst I know the exceptional care our staff provide and deliver on a day to day basis, it is always uplifting and encouraging for them to read the positive experiences residents and their families are having under our care. So thank you for doing just that.
Have no complaints at all.
Helen thank you for taking the time to complete a review and I am delighted you have had a positive experience. I am very proud of the staff as I know just how much they take pride in the care they deliver.
I am so appreciative of how well Mosswood Care Home is handling the Covid-19 pandemic. Their focus is continuously on ensuring the safety and well-being of their residents. I admire how they are prepared to make difficult decisions, for the sake of their residents' safety. Staff in Mosswood, and at the Pacific Care Head Office, have also shown me great care and kindness. They understand how sad it is for family not to be able to see their loved ones or to have extremely limited time for visits. They listen intelligently and compassionately. In these tough times, I couldn't wish for more for my mother, and for me. Pre-Covid-19 I was delighted with the quality of the care that every member of staff at Mosswood gives - physical and emotional. In Covid-19 I add to that a complete sense of relief that this is a care home, and owner, with integrity and compassion. Thank you to Mosswood and Pacific Care.
They took a very wise decision to close to visitors two weeks before Government lockdown in response to the pandemic. They made sure that all PPE was available for their staff and once possible, they have been regularly testing staff and residents.
Nothing was too much trouble. The staff were so kind, and under the challenging circumstances made every effort to communicate on my husband's progress. Photographs were regularly sent from the unit, and a detailed weekly email arrived with updates - not to mention phone calls from nursing staff on how things were progressing.
I am so pleased that I have chosen Mosswood. The professional and caring approach is second to none, and I would describe this care home as first-class in all respects.
I and my brother and sisters cannot speak too highly of the care he receives and consider ourselves extremely lucky to have found Mosswood.
Mosswood Care Home took action to protect my mother and the other residents even before the UK government introduced its own measures. They anticipated the problems and took effective action with great sensitivity and exhibited compassion and a good understanding of the impact that lockdown would have on residents, families and staff. My family cannot express our thanks strongly enough to the staff and to the management. A remarkable service and wonderful care.
I chose this Care Home for my Mother as it was streaks ahead of any others I had visited. It is only since Mum has been there that I have truly appreciated what an exceptional place it is. The standard of care, cleanliness and professionalism of everyone is incredible. From the nurses, the carers, the chefs, the cleaners and all the management and Admin team. Everyone has one goal. To care for the residents and give them the best quality of life possible. This was before COVID. Throughout this time which has undoubtedly brought challenges, the whole team has been marvellous. Professional, safe, kind, caring and compassionate. The level of communication has been beyond excellent with regular updates and emails and the ability to speak to or face time your family member at any opportunity. I would highly recommend Mosswood and thank everyone for all they do now and will continue to do in the future.
Now with COVID, we all got a lovely surprise this morning with an emailed photo of mum beaming holding a handwritten note to us. Bravo and thank you.
My father is relaxed and well cared for at Mosswood. He is encouraged to be active and sociable, despite mobility restrictions. The staff are caring and respectful and always willing to go the extra mile. I cannot thank them enough for looking after my father so well.
The staff seemed to have made an effort to get to know him, is likes/dislikes and seems to spend a lot of time with him.
All staff are very friendly and approachable.
All areas are clean and do not smell.
Plenty of qualified staff. A good mix of residents. Plenty of space, large lounges, plenty of small quiet lounges. Very secure and safe for the residents. A pleasant home to visit. Residents seem happy and content.

My name is Victor and I have been a qualified nurse for almost 40 years. I began my career in a variety of roles with NHS Glasgow. For the last five years I have enjoyed my role as home manager and I look forward to being part of team Mosswood.
