My father suffers from Parkinson's Disease, mild dementia and mobility issues. After visiting many care homes in the area we selected Mosswood Care Home and my father was admitted in November 2021. This was an excellent decision. The facility is very clean and modern. It is well run by a fantastic team
with a strong culture of caring. There have been many examples where staff have gone above and beyond to support my father (and myself). My questions, requests and feedback are always listened to and acted upon. Challenges such as Covid-19 have been managed admirably and the rules that keep the residents safe are enforced with a smile. Their professionalism and everyday actions give me, my family and my father's friends peace of mind that he is in good hands. From the reception through all areas of the facility, Mosswood is a happy place. Simply amazing!

My dad has been a resident within Mosswood since June 2021, after he was unable to reside safely within his own house. He suffers from dementia and is now immobile and can easily become upset/disorientated. I can't praise all members of staff enough, from the receptionist, through to all carers and
nurses. They all look after my dad and make him as comfortable as possible at all times and cater for all his needs. It gives myself and my sister peace of mind, just knowing that he is in a secure, safe environment.
The complex is always very clean and hygienic. Having been in an out of other care establishments throughout the years in my job and also previously with my mum, I cannot commend Mosswood, enough. Well done and thanks.

My mum has been a resident of Mosswood Care Home for 2 years, and I am very happy with the standard of care and attention she receives from all the staff. It has been a difficult time with COVID but Mosswood have been very accommodating throughout this period. There are opportunities to raise concerns,
and these have been dealt with promptly. My mind is at ease knowing that my mum is safe and well looked after. All the staff from the reception and the care staff are friendly and helpful. Thank you for looking after my mum so well.

Mum was admitted a few weeks before Christmas last year. This was a very difficult and sad time for our family. The staff in Mosswood through their kindness, compassion and empathy helped enormously to settle my mum and throughout the year I have found all the staff extremely patient and thoughtful.
The staff know my mother very well and I feel she is getting the best care possible.

We have been very happy with the care our mum is receiving. The staff are very professional and friendly, keeping us up-to-date with our mum's progress. On the whole, there has been continuity in care and in staffing, which is very important to us. Our mum required input from a dietitian, which was
requested and followed up in a timely manner, by the charge nurses.
The staff generally know us by name and know our mum's likes and dislikes. The social activities were in the past average, however, we believe this has been addressed.

I am writing to express my thanks to the staff at Mosswood Care Home for the love and care they have shown towards my mother. She was a resident at the home for just over 12 months, and during that time, the staff were always very friendly, helpful and approachable. Sadly Mum passed away this week,
but the nurses and carers helped the family through this sad time. I highly recommend this home for your relative.

Staff - extremely kind, caring and supportive to my father-in-law, my wife and myself throughout this hard time. My wife and I are confident that our parent is in the best hands. Nothing is too much trouble, arranging phone calls and visits and putting our minds at rest by always make sure we wash hands,
take temperatures and provides masks if needed to keep everyone safe.
Management - have total confidence in them, they lead by example and are always available if needed.
In general - although my wife and I couldn't visit Dad for over a year, when we eventually saw him, he was healthy and happy - speaks volumes.

My father's complex needs are well catered for. All of the staff - operational, admin, management are very informative. I have absolutely no concerns about my father's care. Staff are always helpful with very positive outlooks, even in these unprecedented times.

I am so appreciative of how well Mosswood Care Home is handling the Covid-19 pandemic. Their focus is continuously on ensuring the safety and well-being of their residents. I admire how they are prepared to make difficult decisions, for the sake of their residents' safety. Staff in Mosswood, and at
the Pacific Care Head Office, have also shown me great care and kindness. They understand how sad it is for family not to be able to see their loved ones or to have extremely limited time for visits. They listen intelligently and compassionately. In these tough times, I couldn't wish for more for my mother, and for me. Pre-Covid-19 I was delighted with the quality of the care that every member of staff at Mosswood gives - physical and emotional. In Covid-19 I add to that a complete sense of relief that this is a care home, and owner, with integrity and compassion. Thank you to Mosswood and Pacific Care.

My husband, who has Alzheimer's, only arrived at Mosswood in early March, so my experience with the care home has been from a distance.
They took a very wise decision to close to visitors two weeks before Government lockdown in response to the pandemic. They made sure that all PPE was available for
their staff and once possible, they have been regularly testing staff and residents.
Nothing was too much trouble. The staff were so kind, and under the challenging circumstances made every effort to communicate on my husband's progress. Photographs were regularly sent from the unit, and a detailed weekly email arrived with updates - not to mention phone calls from nursing staff on how things were progressing.
I am so pleased that I have chosen Mosswood. The professional and caring approach is second to none, and I would describe this care home as first-class in all respects.

My father is 93, has dementia and has been a resident at Mosswood for over 3 years. Throughout that time, and as his condition has deteriorated, the staff have been exceptionally good at caring for him in every way. Before he moved in he was anxious and exhibiting obsessional behaviour. He is now totally
at ease, relaxed, happy and also physically very well.
I and my brother and sisters cannot speak too highly of the care he receives and consider ourselves extremely lucky to have found Mosswood.

Mosswood Care Home took action to protect my mother and the other residents even before the UK government introduced its own measures. They anticipated the problems and took effective action with great sensitivity and exhibited compassion and a good understanding of the impact that lockdown would have

I chose this Care Home for my Mother as it was streaks ahead of any others I had visited. It is only since Mum has been there that I have truly appreciated what an exceptional place it is. The standard of care, cleanliness and professionalism of everyone is incredible. From the nurses, the carers,
the chefs, the cleaners and all the management and Admin team. Everyone has one goal. To care for the residents and give them the best quality of life possible. This was before COVID. Throughout this time which has undoubtedly brought challenges, the whole team has been marvellous. Professional, safe, kind, caring and compassionate. The level of communication has been beyond excellent with regular updates and emails and the ability to speak to or face time your family member at any opportunity. I would highly recommend Mosswood and thank everyone for all they do now and will continue to do in the future.

As a registered nurse who trained at an old hospital in Glasgow and now lives and works in Texas, I can honestly say I was extremely impressed when I visited in the summer of last year visiting several care homes looking for the best place for my mum who has dementia. It became my top choice and following
reviews by my brother and his wife who live in Glasgow and had been caring for her, she moved in September 2019. In October my sister and I visited for her 89th birthday. Again it was reinforced to me that we as a family had made the right choice. From the manager to receptionist and all the nursing and support staff it was clear that my mum was in the best hands. She had made improvement both physically and mentally with their expert individualized care and the welcome and care we received as her family was and is exceptional.
Now with COVID, we all got a lovely surprise this morning with an emailed photo of mum beaming holding a handwritten note to us. Bravo and thank you.

My father is relaxed and well cared for at Mosswood. He is encouraged to be active and sociable, despite mobility restrictions. The staff are caring and respectful and always willing to go the extra mile. I cannot thank them enough for looking after my father so well.

My father has only been resident here since the end of August but he seems to have finally settled well.
The staff seemed to have made an effort to get to know him, is likes/dislikes and seems to spend a lot of time with him.

My friend has been resident in Mosswood Care Home for approximately 3 months and is settling down very well. I have visited her on several occasions. When I visited her at the beginning of October, the visit coincided with a visit from one of her sons who was on holiday from England. We were given a
private room and treated to lunch. This allowed us to relax and enjoy chatting with her without feeling that we were disturbing the other residents. The kitchen staff were very kind and nothing was a bother to them. When I visited my friend last week, the Hallowe'en Party was in full swing and my husband and I joined with her and some of the other residents and staff. It was lovely to see how the staff interacted very naturally with the residents, dancing with them, singing and generally enabling the residents to have a good time. My friend was very relaxed and enjoying herself. I am always impressed at how kind, helpful and pleasant the staff at Mosswood Care Home are.
