Mosswood Care Home

My friend has now been a resident in Mosswood for 5 months and what a difference this has made to him and his life! There is no doubting that Mosswood is an outstanding facility, very modern but with a very relaxed, homely atmosphere and it is spotlessly clean. However, it is the staff with their genuine, caring attitude that has made the difference to my friend. He was no longer able to get out and had become fed up and lonely. It has been great to see him come back to his usual cheery self. Well done Mosswood!

The care given to my cousin was superb. The staff are very good. They are cheerful, hardworking and always nearby. The home is clean and has a lovely atmosphere. No matter when we visited we were made very welcome and any requests for my relative was actioned. The End of Life Care was above what we expected and saying thanks is not enough. I am delighted to recommend this Care Home.

Unfortunately, my mum had to be admitted to a care home in March this year due to dementia. There was nowhere we considered suitable for her in West Dunbartonshire and thankfully, we were recommended your care home by a friend, which then led us to Mosswood, which was more convenient for family/friends visiting. We have been so delighted with the exceptional care and attention she had received during the past 6 months. She is now settled and part of the "family" there. Thank you for making a sad situation more bearable.

My mother was cared for in Mosswood for just over a year and received first class care from the day she arrived until the day she died. Indeed, the care of all the staff at the time she was so ill could not be praised highly enough: she was treated with such immense compassion, dignity and respect at all times.

Lovely home, great staff, always clean and plenty of amenities. My gran loves it here.

Mosswood is a very well appointed and organised care home. The facilities are second to none. The staff are excellent and display at all times a very caring attitude towards residents who are all treated with dignity. I have no hesitation in recommending Mosswood as an excellent residential care home.

Steps are currently being taken to resolve our issues so we are hoping it will improve.

My father in law has been in Mosswood Care home for 3 years now and is well settled and happy. We did a lot of research and visited all the care homes in Renfrewshire before we decided on Mosswood and feel we made the right decision. We find all staff are truly dedicated and the care they provide is excellent. Very friendly, nothing is to much trouble I cannot praise them enough.

Mosswood staff have always appeared to me to be caring and efficient. They communicate well with my father and understand his needs and his personality which allows them to communicate with him in a relaxed manner. Communication between staff and myself are very good - I regularly receive phone calls giving me an update if my father is feeling poorly etc. The care home is kept very clean. Laundry is carried out regularly - my only small concern is that despite labelling my father's clothes, there have been occasions when clothes have gone missing or he has been wearing clothes that do not belong to him. My father is satisfied with the quality of food provided.

My Mother was also a resident at Mosswood and unfortunately, she passed away 15 months ago at the home- but the care she received in the lead up to her death was excellent.

My husband and I have been very happy with the care and support given in the past two years to our mother. Staff are excellent and the facilities are of a high standard.

I have already recommended Mosswood to several people and will continue to do so.

My mother has been in Mosswood Care Home since September 2015. She is extremely content and happy there and very well looked after by staff who are well trained and who treat my mother and all the residents with care, kindness, with dignity and see them as individuals who all have their own needs. When you visit you are also made so welcome. The home is beautifully appointed, bright, spotlessly clean - meals are taken together with the staff which I think is a great thing. We have nothing but positive comments to make as a family.

My sister and I are extremely happy with the care that Mosswood provides. Although my mother is unable to articulate her feelings we can tell that she is very happy and contented which was not the case before she came to Mosswood. All the staff are incredibly loving and caring. Congratulations to all.

My brother and I could not be more satisfied with the care provided to our parents. The staff are engaged and dedicated, and show a high level of professionalism and expertise. When our father was dying, he was treated with such respect and dignity; it made the distressing situation less stressful and the family feel supported.

The premises are spotlessly clean, bright and cheerful. Activities are plentiful and appropriate and it really does feel like a home from home.

The care given to my dad during his five months stay until he passed away was of the highest standard. The families experience, especially during dads final days was nothing short of exemplary, from the cook to the carers, cleaners, nurses and management was such that we don't think it possible to have better care. The facilities are immaculately kept, cleanliness is of the highest order. The staff always were siling and treated dad with dignity and respect. My dad was taken care of in the "Clyde" part of the home.

Came to visit my grandmother at the end of January 2016 and was so pleased with the level of care she was receiving. Beautifully kept home, very clean and reassuring for a family who do not live close by.

I am the only living relative apart from her daughter. We were great pals as youngsters. I was so glad when her daughter found this home for my cousin as she now is safe, very comfortable and has company. I have visited several times and each time I have been impressed by the well maintained and comfortable surroundings and the lovely staff. Unfortunately I live a long way away, a 4 1/2 hour bus journey to get to the home, so I only can visit 4 times a year and always I get a warm welcome and well fed by the staff. I hope I find somewhere as good as this in Dumfries and Galloway when I need it.

Carers and Staff; I have never seen so much care and genuine dedication, and know it was the right decision to put my mum in all your capable hands. You have all become like and extended family to me too!

My mum looks well cared for and has also had the opportunity to go out on appropriate activities which did not happen whilst she was in NHS care. After a very difficult time we feel mum now has a much improved quality of life and a level of contentment she has not had for some time and this is very much due to the care she is now receiving. My mum's sister lives 200 miles away and visited her in Mosswood for the first time recently; she was very happy to see mum looking so much more like herself and the quality of the accommodation at Mosswood.
