The care my nan received was entirely amazing. Couldn't ask for a better place for her to have gone to. The management and staff are amazing and I would recommend this place to anyone who would love for their family member to be well looked after and treated with respect.

Mum has been here for a month now and it's like a five-star hotel with five-star carers and staff. Mum is very happy. The room is beautiful and the food is very good. Can't recommend this lovely home enough.

My much-loved Aunt had been living with me for two years when due to a sudden family loss, I was no longer able to care for Her. She had previously had short successful stays at Gwen Walford, so the kind folk of the Care Home took her in at incredibly short notice. She had been developing dementia,
and sadly it was hard having to literally place her permanently, so quickly. However, the care she was shown by all who were there was excellent. She had her favourites, who cannot be named, but everyone helped her through what was a difficult situation, showing her kindness, love and humour. I can happily recommend Gwen Walford Care Home.

My mother moved into the nursing home in February 2021, following a long period in hospital. It was very difficult during lockdown to assess and visit various homes. We had the most productive conversation, here at Gwen Walford House, with the manager and follow up emails/texts with other questions.
Overall it has been a great relief to feel my mother is safe and well cared for.

Dad spent 3 1/2 months with Gwen Walford House recovering from some health issues whilst we sorted a more independent housing solution. The care and support he received was exemplary, both medically and personally. As a family we were supported by the management down, to facilitate appointments, visits/consultations
by family and health/social professionals. Dad's recovery was greatly helped by them. Thank you.

I cannot fault anything about the service that my father received during his stay at Gwen Walford. All the staff have provided an extremely high standard of care to my father and also a huge support to our family. The home has always been spotlessly clean and particularly during these difficult times

I cannot speak too highly of all staff involved in the wellbeing and loving care of my husband. Their dedication and care are second to none. Nothing is ever too much trouble in making sure residents feel cared for, loved and comfortable. However busy they are, they still make time to chat and reassure
my husband, and I have also witnessed the same treatment with other residents. When visiting the home, I am always made to feel part of the home. All levels of staff always make me feel very welcome and are very friendly. The management should be very proud to have such a dedicated workforce. Not forgetting the cleaners/laundry and catering staff who all bend over backwards to give excellent service.
