Overall Experience

I really appreciate the welcoming and caring nature of the staff and the friendly atmosphere. I feel I can visit any time. My mother seems healthy and well cared for. The manager is very loving and gives me confidence. I would now like to have a care meeting to discuss particular aspects of how my mother is feeling, sometimes a bit lost in all the busy-ness! There are some issues with managing noisy moments and upset, which my mother notices, but on the whole the carers are good at defusing situations. Activities organiser is very good!.

Review from Christine K (Daughter-in-law of Resident) published on 31 August 2015 Submitted via Review Postal Card
Overall Experience

Overall standard of the care home is very good, especially to be recommended is the member of staff who organises the activities for all the residents. My mother in law has become more alert and connected with the world since arriving at Buckingham House. Her cleanliness and condition are very good, she is well looked after generally and is enjoying her food with a good appetite. The only minor criticism is it would seem that at weekends the staff are very slow at getting residents out of bed in the morning. It seems as if they are up nearer the time for lunch.
