After a recent hospital stay, she was moved to the nursing unit where she is cared for with dignity by cheerful and understanding staff. Fremantle Court was excellent when mum first moved there 2 years ago but the last 6 months (especially) has seen a high turnover of staff and the use of agency nurses.
This has resulted in less attentive care with clothes going missing, mum's hair left greasy and even missing her underwear on a couple of visits. This is just what we see. Fremantle Court is very expensive and overall, it's a good home but recent developments/declines are worrying.

A new clothes-tagging system is being introduced throughout the home to minimise lost property and there is a strong focus on recruitment for the home to reduce agency nurses and care workers.

My father stayed at Fremantle Court for 3 weeks respite following a fall. In the past, he has always said that he would never go into a care home but he thoroughly enjoyed his stay. He thought that all the staff were lovely and nothing was too much trouble. The home is spotless, welcoming and has a lovely homely feel about it.
I would thoroughly recommend Freemantle Court and I know that I also speak for dad as he has booked another 3 weeks respite when I am on holiday.

My father has been a resident at Fremantle Court for more than 3 years. His dementia is now quite severe he has no memory, he is incontinent and in the last few weeks bedridden.
The fabulous staff in his unit are amazing. They look after him with tenderness, kindness, respect and treat him with the dignity he deserves. They also care about my feelings and needs and go out of their way to help me with the trauma of seeing my dad in the final days of his life.
I applaud them for his care. They are amazing.

My mother has been a resident at Fremantle Court for the past 3 years or so. At all times the quality of care has been excellent, the staff motivated, skilled and very approachable and the management team helpful and understanding.
As a result of my house move some 150 miles away, we have moved my mother to another care home which is closer. The Fremantle Court team could not have been more understanding, helpful and supportive and provided handover information and assistance which the received care home described as outstanding.

Deepthi began her nursing career in India, qualifying in 2008 before relocating to the UK in 2010. While settling into life in the UK, she worked as...
Deepthi began her nursing career in India, qualifying in 2008 before relocating to the UK in 2010. While settling into life in the UK, she worked as a Senior Carer and successfully completed the examinations required to transfer her nursing registration. After qualifying as a Registered Nurse, Deepthi progressed into leadership roles, including Unit Manager for a 48-bed unit within a 120-bed nursing home, and later Clinical Lead within a 28-bed nursing home.
Over more than ten years with the same organisation, she gained significant experience in clinical practice and operational management, supporting colleagues to deliver high standards of care while ensuring residents’ individual needs remained at the centre of everything she did.
In 2020, Deepthi took on the role of Deputy Manager and Clinical Lead at Lewin House, where she continued to uphold strong clinical governance and provide clear, compassionate leadership until January 2026. She has now joined Fremantle Court as Home Manager, leading the home into its next chapter.
Alongside her professional responsibilities, Deepthi has remained committed to ongoing development. She has completed a postgraduate nursing certificate at Oxford Brookes University and is currently undertaking a Level 5 Operational Management course to further strengthen her leadership and management skills.
Deepthi said:
“I am proud to join Fremantle Court as Home Manager. For me, this home is more than a workplace; it is a community where compassion, dignity and high-quality care guide everything we do. My priority is to ensure our residents feel safe, respected and truly at home, while supporting our colleagues to deliver care they can be proud of every day.”
Deepthi’s appointment marks an exciting new chapter for Fremantle Court. With her strong clinical background and commitment to collaborative leadership, she is focused on building on the home’s positive reputation and ensuring it remains a warm, welcoming place for residents, families and colleagues alike.
